After our morning cruise was cancelled, we were a bit skeptical, but we rebooked the evening sunset dolphin cruise and were THOROUGHLY impressed! So thankful we were able to add this experience to our vacation this year. Spotted numerous dolphins and manatees while aboard our sunset cruise. Captain and narrator were both very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

We stumbled upon the Marine Discovery Center the other day and decided to check it out. They have boat and kayak tour along the Indian River Lagoon. If you have little ones, they also have Camps and Field Trips too. The staff was very informative about the local marine life and we learned more then we expected too that day. So next time you are at the beach and you want to get away from the crowds and heat, check out Marine Discovery Center.

This is a wonderful facility with lots to offer! Pontoon boat rides, kayak tours etc! They are a learning facility and the tour guilds are very very knowledgeable! They have a birding guild (actually 3 guilds) every Tuesday which is great as well and it’s free! Starts at 8:00.

The MDC is a fun, free place to visit. They have several fish tanks with cool fish, crabs, and turtles. The outside theater area is very nice. I'm looking forward to attending events there. The view from the top of the hill is the best in NSB.

Great Kayak Eco Tour led by Jim today. We saw turtles, fish, Florida conch, mangroves, and 7 types of birds at the rookery. Jim was very knowledgeable. The kayaking was easy and fun. We highly recommend this tour!

My family and I went on the sunset boat tour 9/24/2022 and enjoyed every second of it. We a ton of dolphins and learned about new things like the restoration project. One of the dolphins actually jumped out of the water next to the boat. Sadly didnt get a picture. My husband and I went in Spring of 2019 for the moon rise boat tour and decided I had to bring my family for the sunset tour. Couldnt have more perfect weather. Our boat was also not packed at all (boat can fit 40, only 14 booked). Highly recommend either tour and bringing your camera! Cant wait to come again!

We sent my son here to day camp recently and it was of the best decisions we have made. He had so much fun. Our son is very hands on and loves to explore and doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty, and this was the perfect opportunity for him to do all of it. He loved all of the coaches and said he made friends. He came home with so many interesting facts and we are so happy and very excited for the December camp! Thanks again guys!

The discovery center is a great 'gem' of new smyrna beach and certainly worth a visit and support the great work they do to help the local environment. We always do the dolphin tour whenever our relatives are visiting as it's always interesting no matter your age. We especially like the evening trip as it's nice watching the sun going down and a little cooler in the summer, the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable with a true passion for their job.

Don't miss this experience if you are in New Smyrna. The Marine Discovery Center is a good place to stop in with the family or on your own. The staff (including volunteers) are very friendly and informative. They have a collection of tanks in the first room and a nice outside area. The gift shop has a good selection of local and educational products with sales supporting the Marine Discovery Center's good work. I have taken their eco tour of the estuary many times in the past and have never been disappointed. A beautiful view of nature. Children and adults appear to be totally engaged as the guide describes what we are viewing.

We did the sunset boat tour with Jeannie and Sean and it was fantastic. We saw dolphins and got all our questions about manatees answered. If I lived in the area I would absolutely sign up for all the other MDC tours.

Went on a boat tour and saw many dolphins along with other wildlife and scenery. The narrator was a young lady who did a fantastic job explaining what we were seeing and answering all our questions!

What a fun date! Our captains George and Bob were fun and we learned a lot about the dolphins, Indian River and several species of birds! Great price, family friendly and nice sized boat (with cover!). It was a very relaxing time on the water :)
