My first time experience here was splendid.. although I had a train to catch, I took a quick detour into Birmingham to have dinner. This place was so good that it didn’t disappoint one bit. The ambience was pretty cool and the music and the ambience were equally dap. We had bonehead chicken burger and the buffalo soldier burgers along with some Nashville fries. All of them were made to the best of taste, presentation and flavour. The texture of the chicken made us question if it’s really chicken or something lab grown to excellency. The IPA I tried was blind eye and it was really good too. I’d definitely recommend this place and I’ll visit it soon without rushing out.

Tasty, quality fried chicken with some heat/bite/kick. Great selection of juicy chicken and sauces all served in a hard rock, grungy setting. So all your senses will get a hit. Definitely a place for the discerning, someone appreciates quality fried chicken and wings with some spice.

Omg this might be the best chicken burger I've ever had. The grungy atmosphere was perfect, the staff were lovely, and the food was genuinely life-changing. I'm definitely going to be coming back. The burgers taste almost nostalgic but completely levelled up from anything you've has before. My partner's a vegetarian and loved the cauliflower burger too, and you can do any toppings you want if you're not vegan friendly (though the vegan burger looked great too). So flavoursome and the batter was crunchy and lovely, totally recommend I'm definitely going back

To look at this place from the outside, I'd never go in. Its so unassuming, and looks like a biker bar. I only went because I was with friends, and they were raving about it. The menu is all fried chicken and burgers. The food is reasonably priced for Birmingham. My meal of chips, chicken breast and leg cost around £13. This restaurant is very busy and you are crammed in. There is only 1 toilet in the whole place as well. The food was spot on, and we all enjoyed our meals. Definitely worth a visit, if you like chicken.

I've been to bonehead multiple times in the past and my friends and ex rave about it. I always find the chicken to be extremely rubbery and without flavour with the burger relying on the toppings and sauces. The sides however are perfectly cooked and taste great. Service is fast and friendly and the scene feels like a 90's cafeteria with a rock element attached. Price point is spot on though, cheaper than most places in the city centre. Recommend having a try and seeing if you like.

Ordered a takeaway via click and collect on the website (Bonehead don’t take phone order) it was very easy to use and there are pictures against the items so you know what you’re ordering. It was ordered for 1900, the restaurant looked quite busy but the food was still ready on time. The food was really tasty, bonehead chicken tenders were crispy and very juicy. I’d recommend the dragon sauce, I had dragon sauce wings and the flavours were amazing and the wings were cooked to perfection. I over ordered and had some Nashville fries too, they were very good but I was too full to eat them. Portion sizes were great the tenders and wings were big! Friendly staff, looks like a really good place to eat in. The combo meals are good value, I would have gone for one of those but I couldn’t make my mind up. The burgers in the restaurant looked amazing!

If you're looking for a satisfying meal that hits the spot, then Bonehead is the place to be. This takeaway joint serves up some of the tastiest chicken and chips in town. From start to finish, my experience at Bonehead was amazing. Firstly, the chicken was beautifully cooked and seasoned to perfection. Every bite was juicy and full of flavor. It was clear that the chicken had been prepared with care and attention to detail. The chips were equally impressive, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The portions were generous, making it an excellent value for money. I was thoroughly impressed by the amount of food I received for the price I paid. The presentation of the food was also spot on, adding to the overall appeal of the meal. Overall, Bonehead is a must-try for anyone looking for a satisfying and delicious takeaway experience. The quality of the food is exceptional, and the portions are great value for money. I cannot recommend it enough!

Possibly the best fried chicken burger I've had. Lemon wings were amazing too. Great range of craft beers on tap too.

First time trying Bonehead today and what a fantastic experience. The decor is dark and industrial with metal band flags on the wall, the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The atmosphere is great, busy with not too loud, with a great rock soundtrack (psychedelic, stoner , alternative) to accompany the star attraction , the food. The hothead tenders were incredible, the texture of the chicken and coating and balance of flavours were absolutely perfect. The sweetcorn cooked to perfection with a delicate blend of spices were the perfect accompaniment. As there is no booking there were lots of people waiting to dine in the small bar area so be prepared to wait, but it is totally worth it. We will be back!

I walked in today alone, welcomed by nice, helpful and friendly hosts. I sat at the bar, and was offered a few samples before ordering after I told them that I normally drink pilsners I had a pint of Bonehead Pilsner and a Double Bourbon and to eat, I was served some amazing Cauli Wings with vegan garlic mayo The atmosphere was amazing. Staff were so friendly and helpful Will definitely return

There is no better fried chicken restaurant! Great to sit in it for a takeaway! Always somewhere I recommend in Birmingham - get the hothead and/or dragon 😋😋😋

The best chicken sandwich; crispy coating and the juiciest thigh meat. And they fried the corn! Highly recommend. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and the vibe was chilled with great rock music.

I’ve eaten from Bonehead a fair few times now - both inside and on takeaway and each time is absolute perfection. I literally can’t explain how amazing this food is but if you’re in Brum it’s a must. I’ve tried pretty much everything they sell but the dragon burger is to die for!! This will always be my favourite place get food and I’ll recommend it to literally anyone who will listen to me bang on about it
