Leyshons...
or
as
the
locals
call
it,
El
Le
Sean's
is
truly
magnificent!
Truly
beautiful
honestly!
Our
journey
into
the
heart
of
Wales
commenced
as
we
arrived
at
Finnion
Le
Blanc
and
Menna's
humble
abode
on
a
chilly
and
dusky
Friday
evening.
Picture
a
small
village,
where
the
scent
of
the
salty
sea
wafts
through
the
air,
and
the
sound
of
seagulls
fills
your
ears.
It
was
in
this
picturesque
setting
that
our
weary
souls
found
solace,
thanks
to
the
arrival
of
our
dear
friends
Finnion
and
Menna,
returning
from
the
most
scrumptious
fish
and
chip
shop
one
could
ever
imagine.
As
they
entered
their
cozy
dwelling,
a
sense
of
excitement
filled
the
room.
The
long
and
arduous
plane
journey
from
Dundalk
had
left
us
yearning
for
something
familiar,
something
comforting.
And
our
dear
friends
had
just
the
remedy,
for
they
had
embarked
on
a
quest
to
bring
back
the
taste
of
home
in
the
form
of
piping
hot
fish
and
chips.
The
anticipation
grew
as
Finnion
and
Menna
set
foot
through
the
door,
their
hands
tightly
clutching
the
aromatic
treasure
they
had
procured.
The
tantalizing
scent
of
freshly
fried
fish
and
golden
chips
permeated
the
air,
instantly
transporting
us
to
a
bygone
era.
The
crackling
of
the
paper
wrapping
and
the
clinking
of
cutlery
brought
an
old-time
charm
to
the
room,
as
if
we
had
stepped
into
a
scene
from
a
vintage
film.
With
bated
breath,
we
watched
as
they
unveiled
the
feast
before
us.
The
fish,
its
golden-brown
batter
glistening,
lay
nestled
atop
a
mountain
of
perfectly
cooked
chips.
It
was
a
sight
that
stirred
memories
of
childhood
and
the
warmth
of
home.
The
tangy
aroma
of
vinegar
danced
in
the
air,
mingling
with
the
mouthwatering
fragrance
of
the
seaside.
With
great
care,
we
squeezed
a
tangy
lemon
wedge
over
the
fish,
allowing
its
citrusy
freshness
to
enhance
the
flavors
that
awaited
our
palates.
As
we
took
our
first
bite,
our
taste
buds
erupted
in
jubilation.
The
crispness
of
the
batter
gave
way
to
tender,
flaky
fish,
cooked
to
perfection.
The
chips,
with
their
golden
exteriors
and
fluffy
insides,
were
the
ideal
companion
to
this
culinary
delight.
It
was
as
if
time
had
stopped,
and
we
were
transported
back
to
simpler
days,
relishing
in
the
simple
pleasures
that
only
a
traditional
fish
and
chip
shop
can
offer.
With
each
bite,
the
weariness
of
our
long
plane
journey
melted
away.
We
laughed,
we
reminisced,
and
we
savored
every
morsel,
appreciating
the
artistry
and
care
that
had
gone
into
crafting
this
classic
dish.
It
was
a
moment
of
pure
joy,
shared
amongst
friends
in
a
place
that
felt
like
a
second
home.
After
this
delicious
meal,
we
carried
with
us
not
only
satisfied
bellies
but
also
a
renewed
spirit.
For
in
that
humble
golden
bag
from
El
le
Seans,
we
found
solace,
nostalgia,
and
a
true
taste
of
Wales.
It
was
a
reminder
that
amidst
the
hustle
and
bustle
of
our
modern
lives,
there
will
always
be
a
place
where
time
stands
still,
where
tradition
thrives,
and
where
the
simple
pleasures
of
good
food
and
good
company
reign
supreme.
