(Translated by Google) One of the few Museums in the City of Santa Cruz Undoubtedly a must for every visitor who wants to know a little about Cruceña history and culture. It has 4 Thematic rooms: - Chiquitana Culture Room - Archaeological Hall of Chané Culture - Room of Paintings that relate the Development of the Cruceña History - Room dedicated to Mr. Gabriel René Moreno, illustrious Bolivian character born in Santa Cruz. Unfortunately, it does not have a site guide or information in a language other than Spanish. The museum is located in an old traditional house, it is already an architectural spectacle in itself.

"Better than nothing" is what comes to mind. The museum is free but in need of investment. There are a few interesting items but mostly informative posters (Spanish only) that go over the characteristics of the people of the region in a few sentences.

I recommend this place. Ignore the other posts about it being run down etc who cares it’s here and they have wonderful pottery, old pictures and a fab library. The building is beautiful. Stop in! You’ll get a map of other interesting things to visit. They also have a great online VR guide you can use during your visit.

The exhibition is excellent, the spaces are unfortunately neglected, there is no maintenance of walls and ceilings.

This museum, like all those in the city of Santa Cruz, is free, the tour takes approximately 1 hour.

Rather run down, but well worth visiting to know more about the history of Santa Cruz and the various indigenous groups in the province. Some great paintings, many of them "naïve", some with a disputed or romanticised version of the past.

Entry cost: Free The best part is on the second floor, in the painting collection 🌟 There is a lot of information about the towns of Santa Cruz, the history of Santa Cruz, the life of Gabriel Rene Moreno, the Chiquitano culture, etc. It is an ideal place to learn about history Regarding the infrastructure, I consider that they would only have to paint the most worn parts to preserve the traditional aspect of the house; The entrance would also be painted so that it draws a little more attention and invites people to come. I consider that if schools, universities or the population in general; outside the museum, they could raise some voluntary contribution at the end of the tour for the maintenance of the museum 😁

Interesante repaso de los orígenes y creencias de los pobladores originales y la mezcla de estas con la religion católica, que asumió y cristianalizó y fusionó algunas de las creencias originales.

I really liked the conservation of the museum, without a doubt a heritage site. I highly recommend visiting it and evaluating it.
