We decided to treat ourselves for our honeymoon and go to the Hilton in Belfast as the name promises an above-average experience. On the upside, the hotel is very conveniently located. Close to both the train station and the city center. Additionally, the lady responsible for the breakfast was extremely friendly and professional. She was, however, the only person one could describe as that. The person at check-in wasn't exactly friendly and didn't feel necessary to explain anything about the hotel. For example, how to access WiFi in the rooms. The room itself was spacious, but it cannot possibly be described as clean. Windows were dirty on the inside, as was the coffee table. There was a lot of dust and even a pretzel in the bedside table. Furniture had multiple stains all over the room. Additionally, our room wasn't cleaned at all at the first day (cleaning personnel came very late in the day and offered to hand us new towels and water). The (rather expensive) breakfast was also not what we would have expected in a Hilton Hotel. Hotel staff also did not feel it was necessary to mention a public transit strike during our stay. Overall, it was an extremely disappointing experience and we will definitely never stay at a Hilton Hotel again.

I enjoyed my 2 night stay and didn't have any issues with the room. I had booked a room with a sofabed and didn't end up in this room, but it was ok because I was on my own anyway, although there may have been a price difference. My issues came with the receipt emailed to me after checking out. There were food and coffee charges on it that were not purchased by me, I had eaten out in Belfast for my whole stay. I called reception to talk this through the day after checking out. The woman who I was speaking with gave me an email address of her manager. I immediately emailed with my issue and did not receive a reply. I called again a few days later and was told a manager would be contacting me that same day as he was in the hotel for a meeting already. This didn't happen and I emailed again, eventually receiving a reply informing me that he and another manager are on leave and someone else would be managing the issue. This someone else never got in contact either. This is a shame because I enjoyed my stay and the hotel staff I came into contact with were kind and welcoming. I will not be staying here again because of this awful management, and I still have not received a refund or any compensation. Overall, overpriced and a bad experience at management level.

Great hotel with a good location to lots to do. All the people were very helpful with suggestions and places to see. We took a black cab tour which showed a lot of places to get to know better. Our driver/tour guide was a great source of knowledge on the history of Belfast and a friendly guide. He suggested several pubs and restaurants to check out giving us direction to explore on our own. The people at the Hilton were very helpful. The room was spacious and well appointed. The shower was really great and the bed was VERY comfortable. The morning breakfast was really great with a nice variety of foods from Porridge to eggs and sausages. Lots of fresh breads, muffins and cheeses. A really great experience all around. I would suggest a visit to the Titanic museum, the botanical park, and the Belfast museum. Very good experience with lots to see and do.

One of the best Hilton we have ever stayed. About Staff : The staff was very welcoming. We felt real hospitality here. I would like to special thanks to amazing reception team, housekeeping staff and a lovely Christine at breakfast room. About Room: The room was spacious and beautiful with well cleaned. Amenities were great. Nice view. And one of the most important thing that bed and pillows are really comfy. Bathroom is spacious with nice bathtub in it. We would like to stay here again and recommend to everyone to stay in Hilton Belfast. :) Kind regards

Hotel is in a great location. The reception staff are polite and friendly. However, the one issue we had over our two night stay was not dealt with satisfactory by any measure. Our room was uncomfortably warm and the air con was going into fault mode every few minutes. It was so warm we didn't get a good sleep either night. We were given a fan by a manager on the first night and he let us know we were lucky to get it. By the time we had checked out, I had highlighted this issue five times and it was still ongoing. Even after we left, nobody contacted us to explain or apoligise, other than the reception staff that we were approaching ourselves. Very disappointing stay, I expected much better.

From start to end the staff were incredibly kind, friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic, the decor is very clever and incorporates some elements of the titanic! The rooms were a comfortable size and very clean. The soaps were very nice. The shower was perfect. The breakfast top quality. Thank you!

Went here to the restaurant on Friday before the pantomime..place was dead and the service was shocking. One nice gentleman doing all the work in the place, serving, taking orders and cleaning up but the other crew were useless. I can appreciate there are staff issues worldwide but I would suggest you acknowledge this before your guests sit down. Waste of money and time. (Kids were fed up waiting for anything to happen)

Fab hotel. Super friendly staff. Excellent food & the room was clean & spacious. They even left a lovely bottle of wine in our room for my birthday. Would deffinately stay again. Thanks to all the staff, you were amazing.

Staff were brilliant particularly Christine who welcomed us and looked after the party all afternoon. What a lovely lady. Nothing was too much bother for her. Food was excellent too. A bit spendy but it was the Hilton after all. Over all brilliant.

The rooms we had were clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially in the bar which we nearly drank dry! The location of the hotel is great, close to a lot of places to eat, drink and see the history of Belfast. Let down as I had made a special request for a special occasion which was not fulfilled. Other than that we had a fantastic time.

Lovely hotel with really friendly staff. Phone hotel direct and got an amazing price on the room which was cheaper than online. Stayed on top floor with lovely views of river. Room was really bug and had everything you need it. Carpark is next to hotel at cost of £18 per 24hrs run by Q parks. Booked a black cab tour from the front desk for £65 and the driver/guide was amazing by taking us around the city.

Stayed in the Executive Suite. Nice views but the room was very shabby and there were faulty lights in the bedroom that kept flashing. Reported the issue to the front desk but nobody was able to fix it. Guy who arrived simply said “I’ve never been in this room, I don’t know how the lights work”. Breakfast was very poor also. Won’t be going back. Worst Hilton experience I’ve ever had.

Nice clean hotel. Great staff. Food was beautiful. Dropped 1 star as parking is very expensive parked right next to hotel in multi storey at 5.30 pm and left at 8.30am next morning £25 Hotel subsidised the parking but still £18 is a bit much to swallow but other than that nice stay.

Very slow service at reception (2 staff serving one couple with no other desks open). Star dropped. But otherwise, great: a lovely hotel, great facilities, nice bar, great location.

  • 3/5 V S. 1 year ago on Google
The room was nice and spacious. View of the river comes with noise pollution from the nearby train tracks from early morning. Good breakfast with variety of cold and hot options. What this place lacks at times is hospitality and friendliness which could transform it from feeling like an office to a hotel. Couple of staff members were very helpful and friendly though. Taking an additional £2 deposit after payment is ridiculous and rude, especially when there’s no mini bar. There should be a bottle of water in the rooms as minimum. Parking charges of £18 a night is way too much (discounted from £25).

Great stay at Hilton Belfast. Rooms are beautiful, as are the common spaces. Love the art deco vibe, very Titanic! Staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Highly recommend this hotel for business or leisure.

I am sure some rooms had a nice view but ours looked at a wall. But the staff was fantastic. Especially Christine. She latched on to us and took care of all our needs, not just the restaurant where she works. Mr. Hilton, you need to give Christine a raise.

Me + my Yorkie Coby really enjoyed our one night stay. Modern&spacious room with everything we needed, and a pleasing view. I felt at ease here. Polite and courteous staff. Great location- a 10 minute walk from plenty of bars, as well as just being a stone's throw away from a lovely walk along the river, which is very pretty when lit up at night.

The housekeeping team for this building is a complete joke and so is Jess the supervisor. Not only did I hear her talk about how bad staff members rooms were to another housekeeper but she has a thing for letting people go from a job due to unfair dismissal. People don’t seem to be aloud to have a death in the family. The rooms are never cleaned right either and dirty linen gets used on fresh rooms.

  • 5/5 Sara K. 11 months ago on Google
Right next to the train station. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was kind and very helpful. It’s right in the center of the city so walking distance from stores, restaurants, and bars.

A beautiful and clean hotel..but it's a pity that customers have to pay for parking in such places. It is located a few hundred meters from the city centre and near the train station. Upon arrival we got a room on the 6th floor, but unfortunately as soon as we entered we had to leave the room quickly because it was full of cigarettes smoke from the previous residents (although smoking is strictly prohibited in the room) But the problem was solved very quickly and we were assigned a room on the 11th floor with a view of the city and we could admire at sunset. It has not only a bar but also a restaurant in the evening and in the morning, a self-service breakfast is served, where everyone can find something according to their wishes and, of course, a beautiful view of the river.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton recently. Our room had a gorgeous view, and was a nice size. The tv was big and had plenty of good stations. Overall this hotel is fantastic. It's right by the train station which makes traveling by rail easy. It's also just a short walk to the city center. The gym is fantastic. The room had a "beverage cooler" that wasn't cold. Leftovers became impossible, which wasted food and money. The only free coffee available was in the room, and required a kettle. The restaurant reviews and pricetag kept us from dining at the Hilton. The staff in this hotel seemed really nice. We enjoyed our stay and would happily return if the opportunity arose.

Incredible night spent on the 11th floor of the Hilton hotel. Thank you to the generosity, professionalism of the amazing staff! If you don't know where to stay in Belfast, look no further. The Hilton is IT. Room and view were immaculate 👌

Good place. The room was nice and spacious. View of the river comes with noise pollution from the nearby train tracks from early morning. Good breakfast with variety of cold and hot options. It is best to book including the executive lounge, where coffee, tea and pastries are available during the day and even free alcoholic drinks and snacks during happy hour in the evening. A really good offer!!

I stayed here for 3 nights during a weekend break to Belfast. The hotel is perfectly located in the city centre and by the side of the river. There is a train station and bus stop within 2 minutes walk from the hotel, which also go to and from Belfast City Airport. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern, with air con. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel has a 24 hour reception desk. The inclusive buffet style breakfast is excellent, with not only lots of variety, but good quality food. There is a hotel and bar attached to the hotel, which hosts a food array of drinks and food. Overall, the hotel is excellent. I’d highly recommend and would happily stay here again.

A very comfortable, clean, well kept Hilton with friendly staff, large rooms with all the comforts of home, comfy bed, large TV and spotless bathroom in a convenient location. Lots of walk-ability to restaurants, pubs, sites, hop-on-hop-off bus pickup. The lounge was especially nice with its great coffee/cappuccino machine, pasties, happy hour wines and tasty food treats. What made the lounge extra nice was its lovely hostess, Dominique, who was super friendly, informative and helpful. She gave us some great suggestions for sites to see on out next leg of the trip. The lobby is large and comfortable and the breakfast was a delight, a huge selection of hot and cold foods, beverages and sweet treats. A great spot for sure!

This hotel was the first stop on our trip & the front desk was really helpful it giving us directions to grocery stores & clothing shops so we could prep to set off on the rest of our journey the next day. Our room was really nice & clean, overlooking the river, the staff were friendly & helpful & the breakfast was amazing! The only problem was the parking situation but we found a way around it so it was no trouble. Would definitely go back.

Perfect location to visit Belfast! All the staff were really friendly. We used the breakfast area and execute lounge and our experience was good. We really enjoy using Hilton hotels as the bed linen is of Good quality and we have found their beds give us a good sleep.

Negatives: Room window didn't close properly so suffered from a lot of external noise. Also a cold draught coming into the room. My 4 month old 3 days on has a terrible cold. Cot for baby not acceptable. Not even a mattress. Was left with old sheets and towels as a mattress. Oxford Street car park not good at all. That car park suits minis or small cars not modern day family cars. Positives: Close to everything Staff very nice Breakfast very tasty

A clean and tidy and comfortable place to stay, loved the breakfast amazingggg. My main concern is the poor hospitality. We asked for water at night, but unlike in India, they don't provide complimentary water. We were willing to pay, but they said it was out of stock and told us to wait until morning. It's a Hilton hotel, and it's surprising that they couldn't offer water to their guests. We had to sleep thirsty in a hotel 🤣🤣🤣They explained that complimentary bottles are only provided to those staying in suites. This felt like a letdown in terms of hospitality. When we requested an upgrade for our anniversary, we were given a very basic room that wasn't particularly spacious. It made me wonder how small the standard room must be if this was considered not big enough. The level of hospitality offered by our hotels in India exceeds their standards by a considerable margin.we were so disappointed 😞

Service was great. The air conditioning unit in the room was terrible. It was either freezing cold and blasting or the room was really warm. When I went to ask for help eventually (at 1.30am) staff were kind and offered to send someone to the room. My partner was sleeping, though, so it wasn't possible. The ac units in rooms are different, too, so she couldn't show me how to make it work in another room.

Was in one of the new rooms in floor 11, that used to be part of the executive lounge. Lovely. The lounge has moved to the ground floor and although there is no view at all, it is nicely decorated and comfortable. It is waiter service only and the staff are as friendly as ever. We are frequent guests at this hotel and this was our first time back since the pandemic outbreak. Glad to see things are getting back to normality, or as close as, under the current circumstances. Will be back soon.

I highly recommend the Hilton Belfast Hotel. Our daily interaction with Paul at the front desk made the whole trip to Belfast a wonderful experience! I have travelled the world, but I have never experienced a place where I felt valued as my stay at the Hilton Belfast Hotel. Not only Paul, but also the hostess at the restaurant when we had breakfast (I never got her name) made my wife and I feel that they were honored to have us join them at the hotel. We have already told others in Northern Ireland and in America about this hotel and have recommended they stay here when in Belfast.

Had a fabulous 1 night stay in room 1017 which is a fabulous King Studio Room with the best 180 degree view of Belfast. Room was terrific - best nights sleep on a super-king bed. Had an incredible dinner in the restaurant. And breakfast the next morning was top notch also. I will definitely book that room again and next time, I'll make sure to pack some binoculars in the case.

During our stay on the 7th floor one lift was out of order ..... meaning you either had to cram into a crowded lift (covid regs gone out the window) wait 15+ minutes for an empty lift or take the stairs........ Staff were lovely and extremely helpful Breakfast was lovely

Good location and nice rooms with comfy beds. Staff were nice. We had a nice view from our room of the river as well. Its by the river so you can have a nice stroll in the evenings. Its close to St George's indoor Market which was a good visit. Its a 5-10 min walk to the high street and restaurants. There is discounted parking if you are driving, ask the staff. We were headed to Dublin the next day and the train station was literally 2 minutes away. All in all a good experience.

Absolutely fabulous hotel. Staff were so friendly and very obliging . Breakfast was outstanding And the rooms were great Air conditioning was a big plus and the bed was so comfortable. View over looking the river and all the little extras were great . Safe, fridge, hairdryer, ironing board and iron the and tea and coffee making in room. And perfect location in Belfast and parking availability. Definitely will make sure to return and stay a bit longer next time. Hotel and staff were amazing. Thank you.

Only stayed one night for business. Clean, comfortable. staff was friendly and helpful. The lounge was nice, had a few Sprites and personal pizza for an evening snack. Good night's sleep. I had to leave early am, so they made me a bagged continental breakfast for my early morning checkout to head to the airport. Thank you

Good standard Hilton, very convenient for Belfast City Airport. Loved the King Studio corner room. Free flow bean to cup coffee and water for guests with Executive Lounge access - lounge is only open between 1800 and 2000 for canapes and drinks each day, so still a step down. Lounge offering could be improved by the use of QR code ordering/check in. This should also streamline service during the two hour period.

Very lovely staff, before booking they were extremely informative and helpful. After booking I asked if I could arrive at the hotel earlier than the 2pm check-in to drop a suitcase into the room as it was a surprise stay for my girlfriend. They were more than happy to oblige and even left us both two lovely cookies with icing saying happy birthday. Throughout the stay they were all very pleasant and it should be noted I saw staff regularly cleaning and sanitising when we were at the hotel for breakfast which I was happy with. Breakfast was lovely. I'd definitely stay again, I have to say the room we were in had an amazing view which we got to make use of with our 12pm check out which is really nice to have so you can enjoy breakfast, relax in the room and leave at your leisure.

What an amazing hotel. Beautifully decorated and very welcoming. We travelled from Galway city and we worried about check in times there usually 3pm onwards and we arrived in the evening time late and it was no hassle straight forward very accommodating. All staff were very pleasant to have dealt with and made the stay at ease for us as it was our first time in Belfast. Hotel is located very central to everything shopping centres are only a few minuets walk and night life is the same. The restaurant food was absolutely gorgeous there food was of top quality looked as great as it tasted. Bar had a live DJ which ended at 12am a great atmosphere but we didn’t stay too long as we went into the city overall my experience with the Hilton hotel was worth to come back again

Very pleased with everything the Hilton offered. Such pleasant and welcoming staff and a beautiful hotel which presented itself immaculately. We only had a dasic room but it was super with the most comfy bed and silent night sleep. The bar was good and the location perfect to the waterfront hall, St. George Market and everything in the city centre. Will definitely go back.

Large corporate hotel but very welcoming nonetheless, very quiet rooms perfect peace even on a Saturday night. Bed very large and comfortable, great view from room. Helpful reception lady above and beyond service when we checked in. Great Central location. Nicely appointed bar area.

I absolutely loved my stay in the Hilton, it was so close to the railway and in an excellent location. he view we had was stunning and the service was impeccable. Everyone was so helpful and kind. The room was spacious, clean and I don't have one bad thing to say about any of it. I would definitely stay again.

Service was excellent with a very good breakfast. Had issues with the dimmable lights in my room. Grand breakfast room. Good Guinness at the bar. Tea facilities and a mini fridge with bath with shower in the room, I think the location was good.

Did not stay in hotel but friends did and said the rooms were really nice and clean. Staff in bar, on reception and night porter were fantastic. Bramble cocktails were made on request and were amazing. Bit more pricey than elsewhere but it is the Hilton! Location wise, it's a 10 minute walk from city centre but a 3 minute walk to the Waterfront front doors.

We had a bit of a nightmare at check-in - despite having an e-mail confirmation of a booking for two rooms, only one room was on the system, and we waited an hour for it to be sorted out. However, despite the hotel being fully booked, the staff found us a like-for-like second room, gave us complimentary breakfast as an apology, and we couldn't have been happier with how they worked with us to resolve the issue. The breakfast was lovely; and we had dinner in the restaurant one night as well, and this was an excellent meal - probably our favourite in N. Ireland! In the hotel room, we were a bit disappointed with the bathroom layout, as the toilet and toilet roll holder were way too close to the wall, meaning you couldn't sit comfortably for your ablutions, but apart from that, we liked the room, and the view over to the cranes was fantastic. All in all, although there were a few blips, we had a very good visit and would recommend the Hilton Belfast!

Excellent service, staff were kind, friendly, welcoming and helpful all the way through the stay. Lovely lady at the check in desk very kindly accommodated an early check in. Room was very reasonable sized and clean with a nice view over the Lagan. The restaurant has good breakfast options, and also an understated dinner menu with a reasonable selection of vegetarian options. Look forward to coming back here.

Perfectly situated for an easy walk across from the Lanyon train station. We were greeted warmly by Claire at reception. As a diamond member I was pleased that we received an upgrade to a gorgeous corner room. The concierge helped us book a black cab tour, which we appreciated greatly. Had a nice drink in the bar and breakfast was fabulous with lots of selection. The art deco design of the place is really fun, too. We checked out on my birthday and were given a card and selection of sweets in the room. We will definitely stay here again our next trip to Belfast!

Rocked up at the crack of dawn with wee legs just to leave our bags and come back later to check in. The staff were super welcoming! Not only did they sort us out an early check in but gave us a fabulous room with a view of dreams! The entire stay was made by the unbelievably friendly and accommodating staff. Thank you so much Hilton Belfast!

Nice hotel. Reception let them down. Receptionist didn't explain anything about the bar / restaurant missed a chance to upsell dinners and drinks. Didn't want to explain where anything was in the city. They never made eye contact when checking in Felt like we were annoying when we asked questions Room not serviced until we asked. We were there 2 night Night team were far more welcoming. We ate in restaurant food was nice and service was good Never given wine list so ordered the house wine and was charged for the most expensive glass of wine " we charge the most for house wine because it is the most popular" is what I was told by the restaurant manager Staff let the hotel down

I am generally a great fan of Hilton’s and this one is no different with great service, recently refurbished rooms and a brilliant location. Prices are good too (though they’ve gone up a lot since Covid). It’s one of the more modern Hilton’s which I think is a good thing (as some of the older ones can be very tired) and it has an executive lounge which is good if you’re a diamond member. All in all it’s very good and a great place to stay in Belfast.

Lovely hotel on the edge of the city centre. Rooms comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was good, excellent range of cereals nuts and seeds, cooked breakfast was hot and very good, amazing sausages. Good continental with meat and cheeses and sweet pastries. All the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble Tony on reception was professional and helpful and knowledgeable of the area.

Had a great experience at Hilton Belfast, was warmly welcomed by staff who set me up with everything I needed to enjoy my stay, bar downstairs is a great addition to the facility and gives it a nice feel. It's also very near to Victoria Square and City Hall which makes it all the more appealing. Would recommend it highly and hope to be back. All the best

Excellent dog-friendly hotel in the centre. This was our first hotel stay with our guide dog, so naturally we were a little nervous. The hotel staff were so welcoming and dog-friendly, Anna in particular :) this made our entire stay easy and pleasant. Would highly recommend!

I was here for a drink at 5pm on a Friday. The bar was woefully understaffed and the individuals working seemed to be in a state of constant panic. Eventually the cavalry arrived and the bar service improved. They could do with another card machine and some gluten free and alcohol free beers. The atmosphere is nice and it's a pleasant place to go for a drink - the food is good too. Also great that they were showing the World Cup. Service needs to be better, especially at busy times.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, and I can't say that it was enjoyable. When you book your stay with Hilton, you have certain expectations, and they certainly were not met. Apparently, there are no bellhops there so when you arrive, you are on your own to deal with the luggage. The room was nice with all the amenities that you expect from Hilton; however, AC wasn't working in my room - at the coldest setting only the fan was functioning, and it's quite inadequate to have good sleep during hot weather. There was no air circulation on the 8th floor so you just had that strong carpet smell when you walked from the elevator to the room. The lobby, on the other hand, is well air conditioned. Another thing that surprised me was that the hotel charges money to borrow umbrellas, and also charges money for water and coffee in the lobby. Seriously? A 4-star Hilton charges money for that?
