We had three nights in a double ensuite room, and it was an excellent location - plenty of parking, easy access, quiet, exceptionally clean, and most of all, a very warm and friendly welcome. The large kitchen is very well equipped, and the lounge was warm and comfortable. The price was very competitive, and we would not hesitate in recommending WPH to others. Thanks very much.

Could not ask for a better place to stay for a week. Room was spotless and adequate for our needs. Roughly 10-15 minutes by car to the town centre and 10 minute walk to the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. You have to share the kitchen, garden and sitting room. The Kitchen is fairly big with Microwaves, oven, dishwashers, freezers, toasters, hobs, plates and kitchen utensils... Each room has a space for food (Cupboard/fridge/freezer) and I found it enough for what we required. There's free coffee and tea and a hot water dispenser 24/7. The sitting room had 4 X 2 seaters and 2 X 3 seater sofas and 2 X tables to eat at. There was a big flat screen TV and Sky + if you wanted to watch it. The garden had seating areas, table and BBQ. There is free Wi-fi available and electric charging points for cars in the parking area. Overall I will definitely be coming back again. Thank you for making our stay experience excellent.

This marvelous and unique hotel has a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere, around a spacious lounge with views of the garden. Equipped with amazing kitchen and barbecue complemented by excellent bedrooms. There's miles of walks along the shore and places to rest, chat with fellow walkers (with and without dogs). The shopping centre is a short bus ride and Cumbrian sites are an easy drive. For golfing, walking, working and rest this is the ideal location🙂👍

During my 2 week stay, the staff were very friendly and the kitchen was very clean and well equipped. The location is excellent (just a 5 min walk to the beach if you fancy a swim). The en-suite room was very comfortable with a good desk for working on, and plenty of tea/coffee available in the kitchen. Also, there was plenty of off-street parking and the garden and grounds were very well kept. A great place for business or a holiday.

Our experience with West Point house was amazing. We stayed there for 3 nights and 4 days. Rooms are clean and services are highly professional. We arrived late at night and were not booked for that night with the hotel still they managed to arrange a room late night and provide us a good one while other premium hotels nearby didn’t entertain us since it was after 12. Really thankful and look forward to book it anytime later.

I came here for a week for work training. The staff were incredibly helpful, polite and went above and beyond! The food was amazing and they had a variety of food they put put every day for our dinner. I would definitely recommend coming here! JB

This is the most relaxing place I've ever stayed. There's a carefree atmosphere all the time. The kitchen has three fully equipped work stations and the staff help to keep it clean and oversee the 3 dishwashers. The laundry service is better than most hotels. The lounge is spacious and opens to an enclosed garden. I've visited this hotel many times over the years and always had a great time.

WPH is an excellent accommodation facility. It offers affordable, immaculate, and super convenient facilities. The staff, Gavin and the ladies provide an excellent service and are always helpful!

Great value accommodation, rooms slightly small, but I was happy with it. Shared communal area with tea, coffee, cooking facilities, own fridge allocated to room. Very helpful and friendly staff. Also has outdoor yurts (look nice, but I didn't go inside one, not sure of facilities available in them, but I'm sure will be on Facebook page).

I stayed here for almost 18 months as I was working in the area. Its a home from home with comfortable rooms and a big well equipped kitchen which was great for someone like me who loves to cook. The staff are amazing and I will miss you all. Its a mix of regular longer term workers and short term guests and its completely safe for lone females. 10 minutes walk from the beach with spectacular sunsets. Very sad to have moved on! Highly recommended!

I stayed for a week attending a local Buddhist festival. Lovely friendly staff. Also people staying there are friendly too; the friendliness is, i think, infectious! Welcoming place to come back to. Facilities are amazing. I love to cook so appreciated the well equipped and spacious self catering kitchen. It's very homely too with nice touches like books around to read. My room was great, quiet and very comfortable. The location is actually great, 10 minutes walk from the beach and, very swimmable, sea. (Sea warm, though obviously, West point house can't take credit for that!). Can't speak highly enough of this place. I'll be back!

We had a very enjoyable stay. The staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about local amenities. Rooms were clean and comfortable with good storage facility but a little small - only 1 chair would fit in. The communal kitchen was kept immaculate and very well organised as were all shared spaces. No room service - much to my delight - I hate someone coming and making my bed and me feeling I have to tidy up every morning! We would happily return and probably will!

On arrival I checked in, the guy was very welcoming & friendly. Showed me around & took my case to my room. The room was nice, clean, bright. Comfy bed & pillows. Hotel itself is within a housing estate. Very close to beach. It’s self catering so each room has its on shelves in kitchen, in fridge & cupboards. I would of liked a kettle in my room so I didn’t need to go up & down stairs with a hot cup of tea. So I didn’t drink as much tea as I normally would. Your not far from restaurants & shops by car but is also walkable.

We stayed in 2 pods in the woods behind the house. They are set in a lovely wooded clearing and are immaculate inside and come with most of what you need which saves on packing. The free fire wood and bbq coal was a fantastic added bonus . The staff were great and quickly answered questions prior to my arrival. The battery packs for the electric ran out easily and while replacements were on offer sometimes there was none ready which wasn’t ideal but over all it was a really enjoyable experience

Great little room, lovely staff and fantastic kitchen that is kept spotless. Great to have the option of having an en suite, and this was very recently decorated. Only a short drive to the local supermarkets and a short drive to the market town of Ulverston. Enjoyable and quiet stay.

I've stayed at westpoint house a number of times whilst working in the Barrow area. It is like a home from home, rooms are well decorated and maintained and a huge kitchen. There is a communal area with a flat screen TV and lovey garden for the summer months. The staff are a massive asset to this place always working hard, polite and respectful. Thank you 😊

What a lovely clean quiet place, it’s like new. The staff are friendly and helpful, by far the nicest place we have stayed for work in and around barrow in Furness. Handy to get to some great places to eat like the crown and ferry pubs . I now see why some of the guests have all year round bookings. We will be back on the next contract.

I stayed in a yurt. It was surprisingly spacious with everything I would need including pans, cutlery, etc. The bed was very comfortable with good quality bedding. There was a bench right outside to enjoy the good weather. Staff were very helpful. Newly planted apple, pear and peach trees were around and there were many bird nesting boxes. It's also ideally situated close to the beach and lovely places to walk.

A slight mix up with my room, but Alice worked endlessly to find a solution, and moved us into a more suitable room. Thank you so much Alice, you were lovely and so very very amazing! The hotel is like a large house. They have a few ensuite rooms (we were in number 10 in the end, by the garden), and the rest seem to have shared bathrooms..we did look at the shared bathrooms and I must say they were so clean, modern and well maintained!! Rooms are all nice and well maintained and the beds were SO COMFY!! There is a shared kitchen, where you get dedicated spaces to store food etc, this was a great addition as you were able to cook if you wanted to and store cold drinks!! There was also a lovely shared garden... The hotel is mainly a superior contractor accommodation but dont let this put you off. Everyone was polite and respectful and it caused us no issues at all! The one downside would be that there is a little noise, if you have people above you or next door...but if you can get over this, this is a great base to explore Walney Island as well as Lake District! The location is fantastic, beautiful beaches, hikes and wildlife to see within walking distance. A town just over the bridge off the island, which have a wide range of shops, things to do (like cinema) and places to eat. GREAT LOCATION!! They also have a new addition, Glamping in West Point Woods, we had a look at the site and it was so cute and lovely....something we are now looking into booking them all for a couples trip! I must say ALL the staff I spoke to were lovely, welcoming and helpful. This property seriously exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately we didn't get any pics of the hotel but it is as their images display, some areas are even better than the images even show.

This is one of the best B&B I've stayed at. Receptionist and owner were amazing, and provided all the assistance needed throughout our stay. The facility was so neat and well kept, I'll say it competes well with most hotels.
