Quite frankly I'm a bit underwhelmed. Apart from Marvão and, to a lesser extent, Castelo de Vide, it's all a bit, well, underwhelming.

A truly beautiful unspoilt area of outstanding natural beauty. Gorgeous walks along ancient stone walked pathways linking pretty villages and fortified towns. Great birdwatching too! A place to visit in all seasons, we can't wait to see it in Winter/Spring when the wildflowers are out...

Beautiful little town. Beware, it is very steep walking up! We entered the castle for €1.50 and it was well worth it

Small green space in the busy centre. Small park with astro turf. Lots of shade. A welcome spot to relax.

😐 It's somewhat forgotten and poorly maintained although it has. A nice atmosphere, the wooden structure takes away a lot of the magic from the castle itself, sadly. 👍 Beautiful and peaceful place to enjoy nature. The track can be a bit difficult, especially in the way back, but it is worth it. In my opinion, it's not the best waterfall to take some baths, since there are only small pools.

👍 Esta era a casa onde o poeta José Régio viveu enquanto foi professor em Portalegre. Foi transformada em museu em 1971, depois de adquirida pela da Câmara Municipal de Portalegre, seguindo o desejo do poeta.
