Quite frankly I'm a bit underwhelmed. Apart from Marvão and, to a lesser extent, Castelo de Vide, it's all a bit, well, underwhelming.

A truly beautiful unspoilt area of outstanding natural beauty. Gorgeous walks along ancient stone walked pathways linking pretty villages and fortified towns. Great birdwatching too! A place to visit in all seasons, we can't wait to see it in Winter/Spring when the wildflowers are out...
