I love that this place is unassuming and does one thing really really well. The chicken was cooked to perfection over wood. Charred and blackened skin yielding to perfectly moist meat. A bowl of bread. An aperitif. A litre of mineral water. And they even threw in a dessert. 7 euros. Incredible value. I'll be back.

Had a lovely meal there, tasted like home-cooking and extremely affordable. Mainly grill meat and fish. Very local Portuguese feel and not touristy at all, don’t be put off by the simple fit out. The grill chicken was amazing, juicy and meaty. We had bread and butter couvert, 2 main courses + 2 kids meals (good sized portions), 3 soft drinks + 1x 0.5l white wine (€ 3 only!), one dessert (great homemade cheesecake, not heavy and not overly sweet), and it’s only €36! Unbelievable value. Easy parking, nice breezy terrace seating. Service was friendly, we don’t speak Portuguese but felt very at ease. Highly recommend.

Such a lovely little place run by a sweet old couple. We all had the chicken which was delicious and the lady brought us all a dessert on the house. Super cheap as well, 50€ for 5 chicken & chips with 3 soft drinks and 5 beers

Little walk from Pestana viking will get you to this Mom and Pop shop. Yes the parking lot could use some light strings across to make it look more open as it appears to be closed from the outside but once you enter the parking lot/little square you will find the place on your right hand. For 6 euro jou Will get a place with checken fries and small salad. If you wanna bulk just ask for whole chickens they will be happy to cook those up as well. Flavour is real good nothing flaming hot just spot on. Clearly the charcoal does it own thing and ties everything together. Pitcher of sangria Tinto and you will have a great meal at this place.

Great chicken at a great value! The owners are very friendly. It’s been my favorite place in Porches so far. I went back the next day. It’s a simple place but very authentic.

We had a meal there last night 3x chicken piri piri which I can say was outstanding the piri piri was hot but not too spicy came with salad and chips and the taste of the chicken done on the charcoal open fire just gave it that bit more tastyness. This is really good value,and in a lovely spot surrounded by fruit trees and a great view if you eat outside. Traditional Portuguese restaurant with yummy food 🤤

I come here for 10 years, typical Portuguess not fancy, just old style that means traditional, friendly service, and very good grilled food for a very low price. 👌
