Someone came in the room twice during the week stay. I mean unlocked the door and walked in on day 3 and day 6. Didn't get much sleep with the bed bugs keeping me up at night. The hospital put me in the filthiest room I've ever been in.

The room I stayed in to recover from being in the hospital didn't have any phone or clock which caused me to miss my Dr.appts I COULDN'T miss. I was woken up by the manager (?) at 11am my first morning. She was asking for ice from my freezer and told me my room was the only 1 that had an ice tray. Which of course, it didn't. I was visiting my sister there 1 week prior when we heard arguing and then a window shattering. We opened the door to a naked man who then came up the stairs to her room and broke her 2 windows. At $100+ a night, there are PLENTY of motels in the city for a lot less that come fully equipped minus naked man assaulting women! Even though my room was paid for, I would rather have been in a tent than stay in the Pensione....Did I mention the cockroaches? 🤢🤮🤬👎🏻

Oh my, if you want a dirty, ghetto experience, please stop in and stay at the Portland Pensions Inn. This Inn is truly Gods Cruel Joke to the world. I am however going to give this, this ENTITY, 2 stars for the effort it must be to still be standing. I will not give a further review for this place as the owners should be ashamed of themselves.

This is by far was the worst motel I have ever seen. I really can't describe how bad it was. with bed bugs to boot!!😵💩

Cockroaches were everywhere dawg, When I mentioned the fact, it was said that they have had a problem with them for years, why is it even open in the first place if that's the case. Cockroaches were inside of the microwave, cockroaches were everywhere in the bathroom, crawling on the walls, The floor, Bathtub ect. They scan your Visitors ID making photocopies, you can't have visitors overnight, Your visitors have to be screened, this place is very sketchy and very weird and I do not recommend anybody ever come here, Especially if you have animals, children, are pregnant, have an extreme phobia of bugs like me or at all in general. After the fact of leaving this hotel I found that I had head lice that was the first time I ever had them in my whole life💀... FANTASTIC... NOT. Oh and did I mention that every morning they come and knock on your door to check on you, Why to check if I'm still alive Due to the state of the area? Literally unlocked the door when I didn't answer💀💀💀, I wouldn't be surprised if they come into your rooms when you're not there. One night I had somebody knock on my door and I opened it and a black man was sitting between 2 doors that being mine and the room next to mine asking if I wanted to buy drugs that being Fentanyl. This place needs to be shut down if I could give -0 stars I would. I have seen people in the comments saying this place was good you are "CLEAR"ly😉 delirious. Cleanliness or anything CDC wise at this place it's none existent. There are more details that I would add but with the place knowing some of my credentials being my number I rather not specify exact personal encounters with the owners. To make it short this place is not it.

Nasty, gnarly, prison-style whitewashed cinderblock rooms (at least, the ones that I'VE seen), clogged toilet, audio-only TV with a black picture, and creepy-crawly ne'er-do-well peeps living, and hanging about, there. Once, in BROAD DAYLIGHT, I watched some guy kick a room's door open; then he charged in, screaming & yelling SOMEONE'S name (who wasn't there) .

I’m surprised this place hasn’t been shut down. Homeless shelters are cleaner then this place. And if you find this place nice or comfortable. Then you are a straight up dirt bag 😂

This was the most despicable & nasty hotel I have ever stayed at!! We should have left as soon as we saw cockroaches coming out of the microwave. The owners are rude and condescending. There are no posted hours for the office. They yell at you if you ring the bell before 10am. I was mortified when the sheet came off the bed. Burn holes and horrible stains. We heard gun shots a few blocks away & the police said someone had been shot & killed. We asked for a different room because the door didn't lock. They did finally give us a different room 🙄 & that one was even filthier than the one prior. This place should be investigated & closed forever!! $100 a night & a nonrefundable $50 cleaning fee??? Are you kidding me?!!!! RUN 🏃🏃🏃

This is beyond a poor review and doesn't appear to be a safe place to stay. Please just don't waste your time and find a better place.

I don't know why all the bad reviews? I found my stay there quite homely and comfortable. The service was decent and up to par with even the best of hotels out there, one of the managers even made me some breakfast and helped me when my car broke down. As for location, not to swell but they can't help that. I'm not from Portland so this motel was 90% the very heart of Portland itself, so don't miss out on this nostalgic peace of property and it's bright eyes employee's.

How about this: poor management, disgusting room, a sharps container as our garbage can in the bathroom, and no real access for my girlfriend's wheelchair. Bring some roach motels because they were there as well. The room was just flat-out dirty, no remote control so BYOR (bring your own remote). There's no way there was cleaning done before we moved or since the Reagan administration 🤣😂

The Pensione is strictly for when you need a roof over your head and running water, to get off the street. It’s extremely dangerous. *Women should never stay here.* The hospital pays for folks to go here that have no other option, so the prices are jacked up for the hospital.

At midnight I step outside to throw away my garbage in the parking lot dumpster because the roaches are everywhere. - The single keycard I was given stops working after only 2 uses, locking me out. - Nobody at the management window arrives for 15 minutes, despite repeatedly pressing the doorbell. - I finally call the hotel number and eventually the on-site manager comes to the window, cursing my name, calling me an a**hole, telling me that I ratted him out to his supervisor and that the nonfunctional keycard wasn’t his problem. — The is THE WORST motel I have ever stayed at. Avoid at all costs. You’d have a better time at a homeless shelter.

This place should be shut down. Inhumane, dangerous and disgusting. Do not stay here.

Dude, don't do it. Insanely bad. It's basically just a homeless shelter. Naive me rents it out for a week.....dirt black mattresses, roaches EVERYWHERE, definitely reporting these guys.

Please no one pay to stay here. It is used primarily for homeless people who were recently discharged from hospital or other services and have no where to go. They hate it too. Mold, cockroaches, just overall filth.

Derelict's cockroach Hotel but you can pay with cash or various apps and you don't need a credit or debit card to stay.
