Had a great experience at Valerie’s. Customer service was on point not to mention food. I ordered a sausage supreme omelette and was unable to finish it. If you’re r really hungry and want great home style breakfast, this is the place for you.

New Owner. Changed the pancake recipe. Changed the menu. Huge disappointment. The food was subpar. And wait… no more mashed potatoes?! We’ve been eating here since they opened 10 yrs or so. The staff are still friendly but no longer wear their fun and unique black shirts which were personable and creative. The new upholstered seating was needed but the funky texture is difficult to navigate. The art has been removed which is okay but now the restaurant feels dark and lacks a personality. Perhaps people won’t notice. And perhaps they’ll get new clientele. But for those of us that enjoyed Valerie’s food, friendly and fun staff, and the vibes, well we’ll go elsewhere. Investors buy a successful business, make changes for profit, but they should change the name since it’s no longer the same breakfast at Valerie’s.

We’ve been here before, but first time in a long time, why we asked ourselves?! Delicious every time! Always busy, but worth the wait. Homemade biscuits, gravy and corn-beef hash. Looks like it’s been updated since our last visit, nice decor, comfort colors. Staff is always friendly, they really make you feel welcome. Large menu, large portions! Tables and booths have great seating options. Place is clean. Belly up to the breakfast bar if you’d like a more personal service. They don’t charge for an extra plate!! Thank you!! We wanted more gravy, what, no charge?? Unheard of today. Thank you, thank you! Didn’t break the bank to go out to breakfast! What a treat! Already looking forward to our next visit! Breakfast done right!! Great service!

This was a great find. Don’t let the simple furnishings fool you. The food was great. Best bacon in town. There was lots of options on the menu and Anthony was very helpful as a server. We will be back.

We love visiting local cafes rather than dine at large chains. Although we weren't here in time for breakfast, we opted for lunch and it didn't disappoint. The burgers were gigantic! Josh provided great service and we had more than enough to eat. We'll be back to try breakfast!

1st time at this eating establishment. Wednesday morning middle of the week took 25 minutes to get a seat. Once seated the menu was kind of confusing, so many things called different things but contained the same items and a bit high on the pricey scale. Food was pretty much cooked the way we wanted it and it tasted good. Then the hard part... They don't take American Express and they don't have Senior or Military discounts. Our Server, #8 was excellent! Might be awhile before we return!

Always a great meal at Valerie’s, sometimes the wait can be a little long at times but it’s always worth it! Friendly staff, amazing food and phenomenal service every time!

No real detractors. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was as good as any other reputable breakfast establishment, served quickly.

This was my Husband's first time here and I warned him that the portions are very generous so we should share the All American Breakfast. The bacon was thick and pancakes were delicious! It was a great value for the price and the service was welcoming and quick. We will be back soon!

Double Decker Clubhouse sandwich with fry’s. I don’t like crust in my bread so what’s shredded has nothing to do with them. The sandwich is good & fry’s taste a little fresher then most places. Service is nice. Seems like a hole in the wall kinda place but nicer lol I like it.

Real comfortable seating and space from other patrons. Our waitress was fantastic! The food was awesome. I especially liked being able to get a 6 egg omelet for a reasonable price. The coffee was good, which is real nice for a coffee drinker, he he. There was 5 in all and everyone ate everything.

WOW, prepare to be shocked by the portion sizes!! Atmosphere: It's a typical breakfast/lunch diner atmosphere. You'll have a tiny waiting area up front that will most likely have a wait to be seated. Parking can be tight, so I recommend parking in the Fred Meyer Parking by the gas station and just walk over. Food: WOW! Haven't had anything bad here and have never left without leftovers... GEEZ! It's not necessarily your High-End type food, but much much better than Elmer's/Denny's etc... Price: Pricing is fair. The quantity for the food, I don't think you'd feel too bad about. Service: Hit and miss on service. I believe our last time here was our best experience yet, but we don't count on that. :) Overall: Absolutely recommend! This is a local spot that most people know or have heard about. We'll definitely be back! :)

I visited for the first time during the week with a friend. It was pretty dead inside but we still had to put our name on a waiting list to be seated. We got our food prob 45 mins after arrival. It was okay, but definitely not worth the hype I’d heard around this place. My meal really needed added seasoning. The servers were friends.

Stick to you're rib kind of food. Excellent stuff. Kind and friendly staff. Will come back. AND they serve lunch and dinner all day. I was thinking about getting the rueben sandwich. But there is always next time haha.

Fabulous neighborhood breakfast joint in Vancouver. Any place is called "Breakfast at..." has to be good. They strive to be excellent. Their bacon was wonderful. Our omelets were fantastic. There are a number of really good breakfast joints in Vancouver. Great little breakfast place! You have to try the corned beef hash, it's the best and really is made fresh. Awesome job Valerie's Team!

The restaurant was packed, and there was a waiting list for parties of two or more. That's always a good sign. I was by myself and got seated at the counter right away. I ordered from the 'create your own breakfast' and ordered a favorite breakfast from my childhood, hamburger steak, eggs, fried potatoes, sourdough toast, and a biscuit with gravy. Service was fast, the waitress was attentive, polite, and incredibly nice. The food was almost too good! It reminded me of my father, and I felt that tug of emotion. It was truly the best breakfast I have had in a long time. It's simple, fresh, and tasty, unpretentious diner food served with love & kindness, and it's deliciously comforting. The kind of place my father would've loved. Thank you. I look forward to bringing my family the next time. Cheers!

Food was phenomenal, walked in and it was super busy but got seated immediately. Server kept up with their tables without letting anyone sit and wait for too long. Belgian waffle was good sized and heavenly crunchy. The meat lovers skillet was loaded and cooked to perfection. Definitely one of the best breakfast experiences in Vancouver. We had server Britney L., could not be happier will definitely be back often.

Today to start off celebrating my Wife and I's 4th wedding anniversary. The wait was not long at all. We each both had a glass of cranberry juice. My Wife ordered the eggs Benedict with hashbrowns. I had the cinnamon French toast with my eggs done over easy and went with the ham. The food was delicious, but the grease on my wife's hashbrowns didn't sit well on her stomach. We both can recommend this place. Its family friendly, local and good food

Order: Bacon Benedict with Red Potatoes. Eggs were made perfectly with the yolk runny as I prefer. Bacon is thick. Highly recommend coming to enjoy breakfast. Next time I’ll come back for lunch.

First time there. Place was packed but server was attentive. Portions are sizable and reasonably priced. 5 star would highly recommend to others and looking forward to going back.

Exceptional breakfast spot with a clean, inviting atmosphere. The service was swift and friendly, and the omelettes were simply fantastic. A true morning delight!

I like to go out for breakfast about every weekend. This place is becoming one of my regular go to spots. The service is always very prompt. The servings are generous (i usually have leftovers and i have a pretty good appetite). Plus the food is always good.

Hot fresh food. Many options to customize your breakfast. I never thought that big pancake will be that big, see picture. Corn beef hash was amazing. Britney was polite and caring, she made up for bad hostess service minus one star. Will go there again and recommend to everyone.

Classic Eggs Benedict- the eggs were cooked all the way through, ham was dry, but sauce was really good. Hash browns were crispy on the outside but tasteless and mush under that. Hawaiian scramble- was good but needed a little salt, same thing with the hash browns, and the sourdough toast was good. Cafe mocha and cappuccino were both delicious

Old school hearty food, very large portions ,decent quality, great value, very popular and busy, friendly staff. Went for lunch, breakfast looks very good as well.
