A fantastic place to visit especially if you love birds, lots of species even endangered ones. Little ones will enjoy it too. Visited the place with a toddler and a baby and had a great experience. There is also a playground and snake and coffee stops with toilets in between with baby change as well( wanted it a bit cleaner though). A mini farm with lots of animals I'd there too to visit hens, gooses, rabbits, turkeys, guinea pigs, goats and a pig, wich you can pet and feed as well. Parking space in front for free and a souvenir shop. Would definitely go again once babies older so they can understand a bit more what they see.

Enjoyed a mooch around and picnic.... a fab array of birds, loved watching the penguins swimming, and the farm is a great added extra as you can go in the animal pens and get up close and personal with the goats, the pheasants roam freely too and the chickens. We also really enjoyed the cheeky cockatoos who whilst and chat and the owl parliament. My main advice... definitely take a picnic, very pricey inside!! Also such a shame certain features no longer run I.e the safari train, there is definitely room for more activities!

Amazing array of birds in a well laid out park. Many endangered and exotic birds in large enclosures. Nice entertaining educational talks throughout the day. We loved our day which ended with a visit to the farm park. There were many picnic areas and snack shacks.

Visited for my fiance's birthday. The staff are friendly and there are indeed lots of birds and they are well kept. Surprised that there were only a few African Greys but perhaps this is a good thing. A walk in experience with parakeets/parrots would be a good addition. Toilets were clean and plentiful and the cafe had plenty of options.

Fantastic place to visit. Birds and animals well looked after. Laid back atmosphere. Friendly staff. Educational talks. Lots to do. Benches everywhere for rests. Large open space if you are worried about covid. Kids love seeing the animals.

Amazing day out can easily spend 4-5 hours here! Lots of amazing animals! However, I felt food was overpriced (£4.95 for a sandwich that's the same as you can get in a meal deal from a supermarket), would definitely recommend brining a picnic and using the picnic areas provided.

I went for my birthday yesterday with my mum , we had never been before and we loved it so much. Animals, greenery, water. Was a perfect place. We honestly didn't want to leave. I love they really have catered for everyone who may need lots of sit downs there are benches situated threwout and kiosks and toilets and it makes a huge difference to people. We are going to come back again after summer holidays.

Absolutely brilliant place. Loved the variety of different birds you can see and all the farm animals towards the end. There are talks by the staff all the time, just check the schedule. They also have a cafe where you can buy snacks and drinks.

Always a great place to visit and stroll around the park. The farm is great and you can interact with many of the animals. Good variety of bird species as you would expect. Ample parking and good disabled access. Toilets are clean and tidy. No smoking or vaping on site.

Fun little day out for the kids with some birds and a farm with goats they can feed. The kiosks were closed and cafe was overpriced school food I suggest taking pack lunch. Some attractions were closed off with concerns about avian flu so not a full visit I presume it's all open in the summer.

Overall a pleasant experience. Kids loved it. Lots of lovely birds as well as farm animals. The little farm was very cute. The reason I couldn't give 5 stars was due to the cafe. I was slightly disappointed that there was no where comfortable to breastfeed my baby as they had sectioned off the sofa seating area early to clean it/ around 4.30, which meant I had to awkwardly feed on a standard chair outside. I had asked if it was at all possible to feed there even though it was cordoned off but was told the floor was still wet. I totally understand people want to get off in time at the end of the day, but seeing those are the only comfortable seats could a different area be closed off and cleaned first (if it has to be done so early before closing?) I just found it was very early for cleaning generally. Also the main toilets near the entrance need a proper cleaner, or more thorough attention to detail as there were thick cobwebs behind each toilet door and the corners, clearly just been missed but just an observation.

I have not visited Bird world for many years, but was pleasantly surprised with how lovely it was, we enjoyed all the different birds and the animal farm where you could go into the pens and stroke the animals. The cafes are all spotlessly clean and refreshing to use, the toy shop was really lovely and not too expensive. I will definitely visit here again.

Had a lovely trip here for my daughters birthday. There were hardly any other people there so quick to get in. There are a large range of bird to view, the cockatoo's in particilar are great and very entertaining. The talk and penguin feeding was also very interesting, there were also a few cheeky herons who snuck in to steal some of the fish. There is also a small farm at the back of the park but unfortunately when we got there they were putting all the animals to bed. The cafe at the entrance is okay, my pennine tasted a bit burnt as though the sandwich press hadn't been properly cleaned and there were old burnt crumbs suck to my lunch. Overall it was a great day and we will go back, though maybe with a picnic to have in their picnic areas. I would also happily recommend it to others for a day out.

My visit to BirdWorld was not only filled with feathered wonders but also thoughtful amenities. The presence of a cafe and a well-stocked gift shop added to the overall experience. The staff, always ready to assist, enhanced the visit with their helpfulness. The variety of species and the wealth of information provided on each one created an enriching experience. Additionally, the feeding sessions, occurring around five times a day, added an interactive touch to the visit. BirdWorld truly offers a complete and enjoyable package for nature enthusiasts.

It's a great place for a day of fun with the kids. Lots of great birds to see, easy to keep the social distancing. Make sure you're to bring your own food, the food from the kiosks is terrible. Other than that it's a great place to visit.

Nice little place to take the kids. Lots of birds and a little farm that you can walk around. The aquarium is now permanently closed and a lot of areas are not open (most indoor exhibits). But lovely to be able to get close to some of the birds in the walk through exhibits.

This place was great except for the cafe. Not only were there massive queues, but the tables and cutlery were dirty and some tables still had food on them - I had to ask staff twice to clean the table and when they did come, they only took the plates away, leaving the table with stains and crumbs. Apart from that, the experience was great, with a large variety of different birds! If you are a lover of birds, then this place is definitely for you! (I would recommend bringing your own picnic instead of getting food there)

Birdworld is a superb place to visit. It caters for the whole family. There is a vast range of different species of birds to see close up and all set in a lovely, well-cared for environment. The Penguins are a treat to observe, especially when they are being fed.

A fun day out, wasn't too busy on a Sunday afternoon. There was lots of space, very approachable birds and got some nice photos. The talks are informative and bring some structure to the day out. There is also a farm with farm animals which is a nice bonus!

Popped in whilst in area having not been for many years. Ticket price very reasonable under £20. Plenty of birds to look at with talks taking place throughout the day. Lots of other areas for children such as a small farm area, park and dinosaur attraction.

Nice day out with the kids. Wasn't busy at all as we went on an inset day. We watched 2 talks, the parrot 🦜 talk and the penguin 🐧 talk. The speaker was absolutely amazing! She was really nice and great with the kids. It's quite a small park, so I'm glad I had a 20% discount code. However, the talker said most of the money goes on the upkeep of the birds.

Good, enjoyable, fun day out during the weekday. Parking was fine but might be an issue during busier times. There is space for coach parking/drop-offs towards the end of the carpark (near entrance). Entrance is nice with a shop integrated within. Never bought anything as the prices are inflated (expected). The park was nicely laid out with flamingoes near the entrance. Word of warning - don't hit any bees/wasps, they WILL sting you then follow you all the way home! Got stung in the eye by a wasp as I whacked it off my children and they were vengeful. Anyway, there's a good selection of parrots, peasants ;) and larger birds. Cockatoos, macaws, flamingoes, herons, rabbits, ducks, geese and the shows are nicely done. Nice lunch area through the middle of the park with seating area and bins available. Costa is available but was not open when we were there at about 1400. Enjoy!

Really excellent day out with young children. Lots to see and do, with extra activities on for half term. Keepers were knowledgable and the feeding and talk sessions are well worth attending. I was genuinely impressed by the condition and maintenance of the site as it is an independent attraction. Will definitely visit again.

Took my son here, on a mum and son day and it was lovely. We got to walk around at our own pace, taking in the huge range of birds. And they are so well informed there. We actually walked away learning a thing or two. Ice cream was lovely and just a really nice way to spend some quality time. The owl area is stunning.

Well preserved aviary with farm and aquarium. A huge amount of species to photograph and interact with. friendly staff and lovely experience, especially for children.

  • 4/5 Benjamin H. 3 years ago on Google
I'd describe this as a 'large small park'. Nicely designed, tidy enclosures, tidy animals. Many vary inquisitive, which made for a more interesting visit. Staff were knowledgeable and cheerful without imposing themselves on anyone. Seeing the corpses of carnivores next meals strewn about cages took some getting used to but I guess is not uncommon for these places. Loved it & will go again for sure.

Awesome place for kids and adults, a fairly large collection of birds, very friendly and helpful staff. My toddler boy enjoys the farm too. Annual membership is a little expensive compared to Marwell but they do offer longer opening hours. Park is nicely laid out, small enough for quick 2 HR visit. Recommend this

I took my 14 month old son here as a treat, he is fascinated by birds. Let me tell you it was a roaring success! The park is huge, you simply don't know how big until you arrive. There is not just birds here. Jenniwrens farm has farmyard animals, goats, sheep and pigs. There are so many enclosures for birds. Flamingoes, penguins and a really touching tribute to Sir Terry Pratchett (one of my favourite authors) in the form of an owl sanctuary. There are plenty of toilet facilities, food kiosks and a gift shop. There are at least three play areas too. It is a brilliant place and comes highly recommended. Kids under 3 are free!

Waw! It was a real treat to be visiting this place during the pandemic. And because booking is done on line the day before, there weren’t too many people and you can notice a lot precaution was taking, from having gels everywhere to the toilets, which were allocated to one house hold at the time. The birds and animals at the farm were very well looked after and you can see a lot of care is taking to ensure all are safe. One of my favourite site was the Penguin Beach. I can definitely encourage everyone to go there. I found it was very peaceful and calming to the nerves.

Spent a very enjoyable time with the grandchildren looking at the big variety of beautiful birds. They particularly enjoyed the penguins being fed (with a couple of local herons waiting for the leftovers). And a farm area which included two reindeer. Very pleased we could get hot food and drink on a cold day. Also plenty of space for picnics and play areas a hit. All accessible in a wheelchair.

  • 5/5 Mark M. 3 years ago on Google
Really good value attraction with a wide range of birds to be seen and experienced. From flamingos and penguins to owls and emus. Theirs also a petting farm at the very back which include goats and other small mammals. The lay out of the whole park is really good with level footways passing some really enjoyable enclosures. The seashore walk is a good highlight. Theirs a cafe and a really good gift shop with a great variety of products. Staff around the park are really friendly and helpful.

Family friendly place of wonder! So many different species of birds and parakeets. Absolutely amazing and spectacular. Highly recommend a visit, slightly pricey but its worth the visit as there is also a small farm with lots of hens, rabbits, sheep, goats and a huge pig called Spud!

  • 5/5 Thomas F. 3 years ago on Google
Worth a visit. Well kept, informative and widely varied. Hours of wandering from water birds to raptors, penguins to pelicans. The star of the show for me were the rabbits though. A great little farm section too with loads of different animals, pigs, chicks and even reindeer is worth a visit in its own right.

  • 4/5 Jane B. 3 years ago on Google
I thought it was really good value for money! I did however expect more of a variety of birds- but I grew up in a twitching home in Africa - so I naturally expected more. American eagle? Black Eagle? Fish eagle? Haadidah? The owls were beautiful but I did feel the cages needed to be bigger to allow them to fly at least! The parrot enclosure was good as were the penguins and flamingos! I expected more Toucans. The staff were so friendly and helpful - even at the kiosks! A jolly good day out. Thank you.

Brilliant place to visit, such a great variety of birds, you can get close and even walk in enclosure with the birds! The layout is pleasant and the staff friendly, I definitely recommend visiting here! Only downside is the gift shop which I was very disappointed with, half the items were not bird related, the quality of the stock was poor, and mostly overpriced. Was especially surprised at the poor selection of postcards and that all the placemats had pictures of dogs instead of birds.

Fantastic place to take young kids. Plenty of space to run around even on summer holidays. They have animals you can stroke like rabbits and goats not to mention the friendly birds that might come for a fuss (a turkey followed us round quite some time for a fuss) they also have a few rodents too and other animals.

  • 4/5 Clare R. 2 years ago on Google
My two year old nephew loved the farm, the hands on experience with the goats was his fav. Was not as many animals but we went late in the summer. Birds a little harder for him to spot but that’s to be expected, maybe some interactive or larger pictures for little ones to enjoy would be a good addition. So sad to see the aquarium has closed. Found the gift some to be fairly priced, food on the other hand didn’t feel worth the money. Path/rope in front of penguins made it difficult for little ones to get close during show/feeding time. Definitely will go earlier in the year next time hopefully the farm will have more animals to see. Could also do with adding more swings we had to wait for some time before the other parents took their children off allowing others a turn. The tractors were also a huge hit, more fun stuff like that for the littles would push it to a 5 star.

This is a lovely place to visit. Nicely laid out and not too big. A lot of seating and it's very flat so ideal for all the family. Lots of different types of birds including Owls, Hornbills and Penguins. Plus a petting zoo. Great for younger children too. Also has some great play equipment areas.

  • 5/5 Joy B. 2 years ago on Google
We arrived at opening time and spent the entire day there - they have so much to see. I don't know if they capped the amount of visitors, but at no point did it feel crowded or busy and we were able to see everything. We especially enjoyed the farm area where they have some super friendly goats you can pet, and free roaming chickens and turkeys. They had a good selection of food and snacks available, and the gift shop has really nice stuff.

Took my grandson here on a Friday during half term. It was busy but its such a big place it didnt matter. I booked tickets the day before. The birds all look very healthy and the aviaries were all very clean. Sometimes its a little sad to see the birds in captivity but they are doing very valuable conservation work here which you can get involved with by adopting a bird. It was a wonderful day out and leaves you astonished at the stunning varieties of our feathered friends. Well worth a visit.

What a great day out. Took our granddaughter for her second visit although this time, as a little older, loved to see all the birds and animals and certinaly paid more attention this time round. Easy to navigate around with plenty of areas to stop and rest. Had lunch in the cafe which was good value for money. Everything was being well managed with plenty of staff members on hand should they be needed. Make sure you purchase some food for the birds as they love it, especially the turkey's and chickens.

Lovely day at bird world. Unfortunately some of the walk throughs were closed off, so unable to see the flamingos. But we still enjoyed the day and saw plenty of beautiful birds.

I support disabled and autistic adults. Brought two of our clients here and had a really lovely day. Staff was very friendly and helpful, the birds are stunning and we all enjoyed seeing them. The whole place was clean, tidy, well sign posted and informative also easy to move round with a wheelchair. Lots to see and do, I highly recommend.

Great place for a family day out! Not a long walk but with a lot to see, the birds and animals are well taken care of, and the gift shop has something for every budget to be accommodated. The dinosaur show was great and the team who worked on it was absolutely spot on with the children and the adults, everyone got good fun out of it!

One of the best places to understand the birds and different species. This is a good start for children of any age group, lot of places inside to picnic, and there is a beautiful play area for kids. We loved it so much that we visited many times, and my little girl started to identify and name the bird species. At least two times a day, staff does the live demo of certain birds. The staff are knowledgeable and very friendly, I loved the Emu talk show.

Lots to do here and lots to see! Separate baby change to the gendered toilets so any gender can change baby’s nappies. Lots of play areas for older kids. The animals look well cared for and there were lots of talks throughout the day from really knowledgable staff who were engaging and friendly. It was a little difficult to see everything and also see all the talks/experiences but for us that just shows there’s a lot to see and do there and something for us to return and do next time! I would advise taking a picnic as the food is expensive for what it is (hence the lost star). The smaller cafes around the park are open ‘seasonally’ and some weren’t open when we went in May but the main cafe was open and had everything you may need. The gift shop also seemed to close before the park closed so our son was incredibly disappointed with that. There is free parking on site which was good, unlike many places these days. All in all, a very good day out and we would go again but we would continue to take our own food and make sure we leave plenty of time to have a look around the gift shop next time!

Visited with my best friend for her birthday, we had a lovely time, the grounds are well kept, lots of pretty and interesting birds to watch, we’ve never seen pheasants in so many varieties of colour! Didn’t check out the cafe but looked nice.

Outstanding visit for Halloween fun! Despite the weather, the pumpkin picking and craft area was fantastic, all the staff were super friendly, and the whole venue was dressed up with festive areas as well, of course, the fabulous birdlife. Thanks to all at BirdWorld for the tremendous effort. It was great fun for all the family.

2nd visit. Very nice place, a great variety of Birds. The cafe is handy if you don’t bring food, but you can have your picnic there too. There’s a fun letter hunt for kids and various talks throughout the day to learn more and there’s some sessions looking at the feeding of some bird, good day out for the whole family. There’s also a big playground for 5-12yo and a toddlers on in the farm area at the far end.

👍 Lovely place to enjoy lunch and tea. Nice setting. The Quiche Lorraine was delicious. The fish finger sandwich was good too, but they had no tartare sauce in it so felt a bit dry. I thought they would have made their own rather then give us little plastic packs of sauce.

🫤 Has sadly gone downhill recently. Lots of staff, but they seemed disinterested, and completely forgot about our drinks. I ordered the Polish breakfast. Quality of the food was fine, but the quantity/price was extortionate - even taking rising prices into account. Over £7 for what was effectively a...
