First place I went for food in Porto and it was definitely one of the best. Outstanding value, great menu selection and the food was absolutely divine. Despite there being seating outside, inside and downstairs there's almost always a queue, even on weekdays but it's well worth the wait. Staff are courteous and knowledgeable and always with a smile. Went there three times over a 5 day trip, a must visit.

I had been in Lisbon for 5 nights before arriving in Porto but Zenith gave me the warmest welcome - and the best coffee - out of any restaurant that I went to in either of the cities. The staff were lovely, down to earth and chatty. They were so helpful and friendly that I went there again the next morning (and was greeted with a high five from my fave waiter when I was recognised!) The food was good too. I had the Eggs Zenith the first morning and it was such a generous portion that I didn’t eat again until the evening. Has Eggs on Toast the second morning. Tried both the flat white and the cappuccino, like I said - best coffee I’d had while in Portugal. It was only a short trip to Porto but I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for Zenith the next time I’m in Barcelona or Madrid too. Loved it there. A great spot!

Nice place...warm welcome. But food was average and there was nothing special about it. Asked for dish no meat, only salmon fish, but they cover the chicken ball by sauce and charged me extra for of the salmon. There are waiters , seems likeb "only for sale the menu" ... the bill is approached at the end to be paid at the front desk(she is busy and u may need to wait), up to your table number. Frankly the waiters r salesman and like in my case, he is not attentive at all , focus about trying to sell extras):

I am really disappointed about this place. I was convinced to come here by the many good reviews. That wasn’t my experience. I ordered the eggs Benedict (both salmon and bacon). The bread from the base was really hard and seemed old. The salmon didn’t taste nice and looked from cheap quality. The salads weren’t fresh. The eggs were more than overcooked. And to top it all, the service was really shabby if not unprofessional. Definitely a waste of time and money. Will not recommend, nor come back!

Excellent service, very friendly staff, great food. If you are a brunch fan this is your place since it is served all day. The zenith eggs were delicious. Our server recommended with pesto instead of avocado and it was a great choice. They do not take reservations so if there is a cue and you don’t want to wait there is plenty of outdoor seating.

One thing this place can seriously work on is receiving guests and overall customer service. Upon arrival there was no clear area identifying a queue for a table. When asking a waiter for a table he rudely rushed us out saying the line was in an imaginary place by a sign outside. We waited there 5 minutes only to see guests barely arriving and seating themselves on a prepared table and be given menus by a different server. He sees this take place as well and then takes it upon himself to now seat us somewhere. Either he doesn’t know his job or only knows monkey see monkey do. When the coffee arrived none came with sugar condiments which is commonly known to pair, but for this place is a delusion. I’m not usually this painstaking but honestly even the sugar we asked for was a hardened bunch in the packet. Nothing is right in this restaurant. Cappuccino was decent but my partner really didn’t enjoy the matcha latte - was watered down, bland, and nothing of likeness. The waitress taking our order had a very short attention span, assisting other guests while in the middle of taking down our order. We enjoyed the pancakes, the price is fair, but a good rotation of trained hostesses and servers is need to give this place real potential. The guys cooking in the back seemed like they were having a good time and did their job well, but the front staff is a joke. Overall, I don’t recommend.

Amazing place and amazing staff! Our waiter was the best! He told us that it's off season so he could chat more with us 🤣. He was super attentive on the refills. The food: amazing too! The shakshuka is one of the best I've ever had. Definitely come here!

This place is wonderful. We had the pancakes and eggs with bacon stacked up like a sandwich. Also the yogurt bowl. Just as it sounds, it’s yogurt and then granola and some fruit in a bowl. It was fantastic. Do not miss this place!

The patio fills up quickly for Brunch. Turn over is decent. Service is quick and very attentive. Pancakes were fluffy and delicious. But I have to say I do miss maple syrup, Ice cream will have to suffice though. My wife’s eggs Benedict with bacon was more than enough for her, I unfortunately had to finish it for her. Great Aperol Spritz in a city of Port Spritz’.

This place is hands down my go to place for brunch wherever I am in Braga. The brunch menu is just amazing and the ambience is too. The service is great as well. The waiters and waitresses are friendly and service your orders with a smile. Was recommended by a friend and I've been here couple of times. I cannot recommend enough.

Delicious & trendy. One of the best places for brunch in Porto. If you get there after 10am though, expect to wait for a table. If you're lucky enough to get table near the kitchen, it's a pleasure to watch the chefs at work. Service is friendly & efficient. Highly recommended.

This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been. With the first visit we got addicted. Here You can brunch all the day. The food is incredibly good. I really recommend the bowls and the ridiculously stunning vegan pancake 🥞. The drinks are very nice. The atmosphere is legere and people very diverse. The best is the team. Awesome service. very polite and nice. You can stay here for hours, drink, eat and enjoy the nice Vibe.

Beautiful plates, generous and tasty food. Always crowded like in Lisbon, they have a waiting list at the entrance and need to wait to be seated. If you're lucky like us, groups before you will be too hungry to wait and leave the queue so you can enter quicker. Zenith eggs and all pancakes are really good and very generous. Friendly service, a bit pricey like every trendy brunch place, but nothing excessive.

Lovely experience. I’m from the US and have worked in restaurants for 15+ years and I can’t get over how positive it was there. Of course the food was amazing; I’m big on homemade yogurt and their yogurt with fruit was simply yet perfectly delicious. But the staff specifically just keeps the mood light and welcoming. I’m so used to the American restaurant style where everyone’s fighting for tips and tables it was a beautiful shock to see it in this light. I’m definitely going again while I’m here because I’m pretty sure everything on their menu is great 😊.

Let me start off by saying I have high standards for brunch. Lol even though I love bottomless mimosas, a place will gain points for service, ambience, music, decor, and of course drinks! This place did not disappoint! A solo brunch turned into a shared table brunch with new friends and I loved every minutes. There are two floors so don’t think there’s just the top floor and outside. Also if you are by yourself they will ask you if you want to sit at a shared table. Do it!! Unless you want to wait in line outside.. no thank you! The service was so great! The food was fast, and the mimosas never stopped coming! Also lots of places to take photos for the gram. The place to go for brunch!

Amazing breakfast/brunch. Each dish had a little creative twist that added flavor or texture. Drinks were great - food great. We sat outdoors on the patio - was charming. Quick service and quality food. Highly recommend.

There are few brunches in the city of Porto that have all the options as tasty, my non-vegan friends love Zenith’s vegan options. The space is comfortable and has a great atmosphere, the food and drinks that are made there are wonderful. If you are, be sure to try the pancakes!

The best brunch in Porto! 10 out of 10! Fantastic place! Food is superb! Staff is so friendly and proactive, they excel in customer service! The food and drinks arrive very shortly even when it is super busy. You might need to wait in line for a couple minutes to get your table but it is totally worthy it! Strongly recommend it!

    * Good but a huge step necessary to excellence - Overrated * The place is more nervous and vibrant than relaxing and welcoming. The drinks are the usual stuff, nothing famous. The food was kind of disappointing: The Shakshuka was not near what it should be as the peppers were not allowed to simmer long enough and no tomatoes were used but passata instead. If you know the originals or even the Ottolenghi version, you are disappointed. The avocado-poached-egg plate was okay, but not sensational.

My favorite thing to do when traveling is to have brunches ☕️🥞 especially the ones that are so high in reviews. This time was special because it’s one of the recommended brunch places in the journals. It is well located, in the city center close to the Livraria Lello 📚 it’s very cute, a bit dark inside but someone can call it romantic. They have a good menu full of different options even vegan ones. I took vegan pancakes 🥞 and juice of the day 🥤 It was tasty 😋 the prices were okay. Not bad actually The personnel was not as friendly as I expected. And the toilets are not that clean. The sink to wash your hands was just ridiculous. I have never seen something not so user friendly - it was small and from the side. So it was impossible to wash your hands. That’s why I reduce my review to 4⭐️ If you like this review, let us hear from you! We’d love if you visit our profile in Instagram to see experiences all over the world! Have an amazing day! Great food but everything else was quite bad. We were asked to move out table two times, we were served possibly the worst looking flat white I have ever seen (see picture - it's genuinely ridiculous for this kind of establishment) AND the coffee tasted like soap. When I wanted to pay, I was informed by the cashier that the card reader was broken. I asked why we were not informed before we came in and she pointed at a sign outside saying we need to wear masks and lied that it's written there. Fortunately, I had some cash on me which I was originally saving for souvenirs and other such items that I couldn't buy afterwards. Pretty bad experience not worth the quite good food. Also the toilets are a bloody joke.

Food here is really good. Super fast and very friendly service. We were sat close to the kitchen and watching the 3 chefs we were in awe of how fast they work together. Highly recommend, everything that came off the ‘line’ looked incredible.

Super good service, great menu and prices that are absolutely fair brought us here. We enjoyed every minute of our brunch and the food was just amazing. You should definitely come early or book a table, especially if you are in a larger group or don’t want to wait. Great for vegetarians and vegans!

Amazing food and great service. There was about a 15-20 minute wait. The presentation of all of the food was spectacular. Some of the portions were smaller than expected but were still delicious. The croissant sandwich was small but very tasty. The berry pancakes and Nutella pancakes were yummy as well. The French toast was great as well.

A good place to have brunch! It's quite busy if you arrive there past 10 pm. The waiters are nice and easy going. The food arrives very quickly. We had a vegan toast and eggs on sourdough bread and liked it! Coffee is good, the chai latte is a bit too milky for my taste, but that's just me.

Great place to eat brunch, and the portion is quite generous. It's frequently crowded there, although the line runs pretty fast. But if you want an empty place, maybe in the early morning is better. The staff is polite and charismatic (and the food is something else!)

Absolutely amazing! Their breaded poached eggs were something I’d never even heard of before and they did not disappoint! We had two of their sweet meals; the berry pancakes and the banana bread, both of which were phenomenal. The breaded poached eggs are a must try when you visit. Update We enjoyed it so much that we had to go back again before we flew out of Porto! Hands down the one place you must try when you visit Porto for the delicious food and the warm hospitality!

Good location (sheltered from wind). Super busy including locals. Big portions which was nice. Food is also good quality. Most of the menu is on the sweet side. Would recommend to try coffee lemonade (refreshing, sparkling low sugar drink). The only issue that service could be faster during peak times due to waiting 15 minutes for coffee and 30 minutes for food. In general I would recommend it due to the location and atmosphere

First of all, the staff is SO amazingly friendly and enganging. As a solo traveler, i truly appreciated not feeling awkward sitting at a table alone. There aren't too many outside tables, so make sure to come early or just wait in line. I was in Porto for 2 nights, and i had both breakfasts at Zenith. I wish i had more time to eat there again and taste the whole menu. I had eggs benedict one time, next day i had the french toast. Both a dream! I can totally recommend going there!!

We love of Zenith! The only thing we don't love is the price. My husband had the Zenith Burger which is plant-based. He said it was really good. I had the chicken salad and it was amazing! The total for the 2 meals, a beer and cocktail was 34.5€. Highly recommend!

We ordered take away while on holidays in Porto, they were pretty long to prepare the food but that was not a problem, fresh food takes longer to make ! One thing we ordered was chicken tacos that were supposed to come x3… this is what we got. I think you guys gave us another customer’s doggy bag. Mistakes happen but we contacted the restaurant who never replied. You guys have to level up.

This place is amazing. Had to queue for a short time but well worth it. The food is ganyastic and such a choice. The mixed berry panvakes were the best we have ever had and the cocktails were sublime. Will definitely return when we are next in Porto xx The staff were fab too. Very friendly and clearly love their work xx

We had a great experience as we were lucky to get a table without a reservation and waiting too long in a queue! The staff was really lovely and attentive, always ensuring we were having a good moment. We asked for Egg Benedict and a healthy orange, ginger and carrot juice. It was delicious, and the plate presentation matched our expectations based on the pictures we saw. It's definitely a place to come back!

Oh Zenith, if only I could visit every day! Traveled to Porto from Cleveland and Philadelphia in the USA, with family (three generations), and we found Zenith on our second morning. We were greeted by the most energetic, warm and enjoyable staff, were recommended perfect drinks and food options, and it was so good we came back again during our short 5 day trip—and two visits wasn’t enough. Hard to look at their posts now because I get so hungry! Will be back to Porto some day, and you can be sure will hit Zenith again. Thank you, obrigada!! 🧡🤗

Delicious brunch in Porto!!! Full of flavours and the menu is quite original. The savoury pancake is very very good and dilling you really pay for what you get the portions are ectremely generous. We wanted to get dessert but we were so full from our meals that we saddly did not order anything (but we will come back for the sweets thats for sure) They have a lot of vegetarian options and the waiters are veey flexible. The housemadd ice tea has a lot of flavour and is really really good for a summer drink. We came on a Thursday morning at 11h and we waited less than 5minutes to get a table, we were expecting more wait from reading the comments and the other google reviews. Service wise everyone is lovely and professional. The atmosphere of the cafe is very nice with lots of plants around it the kitchen are open which is always a good sign to show that everything is fresh. I can’t find any down points about the brunch, we will be back.

Great breakfast/brunch spot. Delicious pancakes! Better if you manage to reserve in advance for a weekend breakfast as there’s a bit of queuing, but it goes fast - we waited only 15 minutes. Lots of options, including vegan, veg and gf.

Such an awesome spot with a huge variety of brunch dishes, cocktails and brews to suit all tastes (including those looking for a healthier option). The food tastes every but as good as it looks and the service is phenomenal. Be prepared to wait for a table but I promise it will be worth it. So good we returned several times in our holidays.

It is a perfect place for brunches or lunches - healthy, big, tasty and filling <3 We are there delicious salads full of veggies, perfect poached eggs, perfect bagel with enormous omelette with bacon and awesome pancakes a la francesinha what we liked more that the traditional francesinha. I highly recommend the tomato and pepper stew. Coffee is average but it's fine and you come there mainly for awesome food anyway :)

Very good and the price was alright, not the cheapest in the city but for European standards pretty good. Lots of “instagramable” food, we ordered pancakes, eggs on toast,açaí bowl and French toast. It was absolutely delicious

Notwithstanding there's a " we accept contactless" sticker in the door, they only accept cash; so I had to go to withdraw money after the brunch in order to pay. It was lunch time, the place was not busy but the waitresses keep coming to ask me every five mins -in a very rude way- if I wanted to order something else, even though I still haven't finished my food and/or drinks. In addition, a waitress came to tell me in Portuguese that I was not allowed to use my laptop, despite it was the first think I asked when I arrived since I'm a travel writer. It was 9,50 for the shakshuka and it was not even good... They didn't make me feel comfortable, I'm very disappointed.

Whats the point of dont take reservations or names at entrance? Like why do we have to que for 40min and u cannot do a proper booking system? Plus with the covid situation more and more restaurants make online bookings much easier for guests and u guys do the total opposite? Why? U dont even allow reservations! Thats a totally no sense. Do u do that only because is nice to see people outside waiting? Just update yourself, setup an online booking system and thats it! Instead of making me wast time waiting.. Food is good tho but mine was not hot, it looks like it was prepared 10’min before in fact when i get it it was not really warm.

(Translated by Google) Great breakfast option! Here you can have brunch all day. It is very well attended, mostly by tourists. But it doesn't harm the ambience. The waiters are very courteous and the food doesn't take long even when it's busy. For someone who is looking for a special breakfast location, this is ideal.

Great place for having a breakfast. We took the acai bowl, toasts with scrambled eggs and pancakes with peanutbutter. Actually the pancakes where dry. The acai bowl was amazing!

(Translated by Google) We were kicked out into the street to wait for a table, although it was full of free people inside, but for 4 people. They told me to wait until they were free by 2. Given that the morning was very cold, this is the most ugly and inhospitable act. P.S. Even in the most popular places in Berlin, everyone is allowed to all seats, at least one person per table for 10x, but the main thing is that in the order of the queue.

Don't order the protein shake, it's literally a little bit of powder with milk. Nothing special. You're better off buying it somewhere else for a reasonable price.

I really liked this place. It was totally full and I am not surprised. The options for breakfast are great. I recommend to go for eggs zenith with smoked salmon. The prices are a bit higher, but then - you have menu in English, great meal options, and nice staff.

This place is a perfection, from food to staff, l was surprised how helpful and kind they are. They all spoke excellent English. I really felt good there. They just lifted my standards for other restaurants.

Good but overhypped: We came on a Sunday morning around 11am. We had to wait 45min before getting the food. French toast was a single small slide of bread covered by way too much jam. Pancakes were a bit too cold, ice cream was surprisingly good. Shakshouka was a bit too acid and more bread would have been nice. Sweet potato toast was random. Food was good but it would be nice to rethink the way dishes are in the plate. Coffee is good.

You better expect little waiting but in my opinion, the waiting was worth it! I loved their Iced Americano(Especially) and foods!

a pretty famous brunch spot for tourists so keep in mind that you have to queue for about 30min.The atmosphere itself was comfortable and the waitresses were kind despite the huge stress they had. The food itself was sadly nothing too special. It was not fresh, the pancakes were pre-cooked and will be just warmed up plus the topping was way too much - maybe to distract from the dry pancakes..? My croissants were baked twice therefore, a bit dry too. However, the acaì bowl was delicious, the coffee as well. The orange juice was a dream (and probably also the only freshly made dish we got). To sum it up: Zenith was okay but you might go for another place as it doesn't live up to its hype (anymore?). The music deserved five stars though.

I have been meaning to post about Zenith since we ate there! I had the Shakusha and it was amazing. We found this little spot as we were trekking around the city (visiting from San Francisco). They have an amazing menu and beautiful interior. They have great focus on American style breakfast / brunch with great drinks. Highly recommend.

These were my favorite pancakes out of the whole month I spent in Portugal. The staff were excellent and catered to my friends allergies so well, even remembering when we visit again another day! They have a fantastic menu - so many options for whatever you appetite is.

***Update***: We came a second time and had the Zenith eggs, Avocado Egg Tapioca (basically a tapioca crepe that is stuffed with filling), and a cappuccino. All three items were decent but not that great. The waitress was very impatient while taking our orders, we had some questions for her, but she basically just told us what we were going to order, and almost did not even give me a chance to swap out the bacon with smoked salmon. I will keep my review as a 4 stars rating but honestly should be more of a 3.5 stars. Original Review: Great Brunch in Porto. Zenith has an expansive menu with a variety of pancakes, waffles, eggs, tapiocas (wraps), toasts and beverages. We tried the golden latte, flat white, juice of the day (raspberry, watermelon, and orange), the signature egg zenith with smoked salmon, and the nutella pancakes. I would have preferred the fresh orange juice over the juice of the day, but everything else was quite delicious. Karina and Ruven were very attentive and helpful. We will definitely be coming back!

A must brunch spot! Katrina was exceptional! Beautiful interior. Good presentation on point. High quality food. Try the eggs zenith. It has breaded poached eggs! A first for me.

I was a bit worried that when we turned up with long queues and it having a reputation that it’s one of the world’s most Instagram-able restaurants that we would be disappointed - luckily we absolutely loved our food. The trilogy of tacos were so on point with flavours - that was actually my favourite and none of them was a dud! Also had the dolce de leche pancakes - really nice flavour combinations with granola and vanilla ice cream. Only criticism is that we didn’t enjoy our spiced chai latte (way too milky) and turmeric latte (probably more not to our taste) but the tea and coffee was otherwise good.

Zenith Cafe instilled some confidence in Portuguese cuisine after three weeks in the Algarve. It was excellent. All of it. The area it's in is beautiful, the building is lovely, the service was great, and the cost was very reasonable.

The vegan pancake was delicius. I suggest you. It Is Amazing. Furthermore I tried the acai Bowl and chai latte. The acai Bowl was good BUt too much ICE on It and today was coil outside so i could not appreciate completly. I think It Is more Summer dish.. BUt It was good. At the end.. i suggest this Place because the waiters are very nice and fast. They don't took recervation so you have to come early during the weekend. Very lovely brunch

Let me start with the good things: friendly staff and brunch all day long. Wide selection of food items. Food is OK but not exceptional, didn't really impress me. My standard for comparison is always the avocado toast and this one was average. If you like good coffee, then definitely seek another place - coffee here was a disappointment. Overall I consider this place overrated.

Really delicious breakfast / brunch place. The food had great flavours and the portion is quite big so good value for the price charged. There’s nothing much to say, we loved everything so it has my recommendation if you’re looking for a place to start off your day!

This is the second day in a row that we've had brunch at Zenith. The service, food presentation and friendly attitude of the staff make this restaurant a must when visiting Porto. The dishes are of high quality and very fashionable. The price is really reasonable and the amosphere is ideal to start your day. 10/10 restaurant

What a amazing Restaurant! Really nice people. A nice Manager, friendly waiter and a Good atmosphere. The Food are delicious 👌🏻 Maybe u have to wait a Little Bit to get a table. But it’s totally worth it.

Very mixed experience. There is a wait but it is very quick however the woman seating tables was extremely rude and curt which made us immediately uncomfortable upon entry. We were then told there was no coffee which during brunch was very unsavoury to us and it was suggested we went for coffee at a neighbouring establishment that wasn’t very well stocked by comparison. Overall it felt like the staff in there were extremely tense which made for an uncomfortable environment however our server was 10/10 an extremely lovely and pleasant waiter. The food was throughly enjoyable and in the end the coffee machine was fixed but by which time most of our group had already given up on receiving one. I can only imagine the staff are under pressure from management but as a customer it’s not great to absorb that stress also and we had much greater experiences with staff at similarly popular establishments.

Zenith is super busy - but we were seated within 5 minutes of queuing. Staff are super friendly and chatty, the food and drinks are amazing, and all at a reasonable price. Lots of seats outside, which would accommodate wheelchair users. Can’t recall if there was an accessible toilet, so perhaps ring beforehand. Would recommend to anyone visiting Porto.

I totally recommend giving this place a visit. We tried it for breakfast and the food was great We ordered the eggs Zenith, great presentation, fresh ingredients, on point food temperature and tasty. We also took the eggs Benedict which was also good but nothing on the plate other than the toasts with toppings. You would expect some small green salad or something just next to it to decorate the plate or to add a touch of herbs. Now we come to the 4 stars rating, I would have given 5 stars... The staff is too nice, too fast and proactive and always smiling... But again "too fast". As soon as you finish something they come and take it, when the table was empty but we were still finishing our juice the waiter came to us to tell us how to pay the bill. All in all, a very nice place, with great food and a good ambiance.

This place was recommended to me by a friend, it was absolutely incredible. It’s the best meal I’ve had in Porto. I’m not vegan but I needed some vegetables in me, so I ordered the vegan bowl and the yellow turmeric wellness shot and this little espresso to go that comes in a very cute cup. The waitress was fantastic and the vibes of the music and the atmosphere was 10/10!

  • 5/5 Kurt G. 6 months ago on Google
I wish I could give 6 stars to our server...Shanti was fantastic! Between the shakshuka and the savory pancakes, wow - where to begin?!? All tasted fresh, made to order. I wish that the kitchen had skinned to tomatoes or peppers first. My only complaint. Very tender, fresh and well seasoned. I did order 2 different beverages... the red velvet latte (sounds odd but totally works as it wasn't too sweet at all) and the ginger mint lemonade... with a bunch of fresh slivers of ginger! I like this place. A great vibe and it didn't matter if you sit inside or outside. Service, view and overall circus are great.

My recent brunch experience at Zenith Brunch and Cocktails in Porto was nothing short of delightful. From the moment I stepped in, the cozy atmosphere and inviting aroma set the stage for a fantastic meal. I opted for the Shakshuka, and it exceeded my expectations. The perfect blend of flavors and the hearty portions made it an absolute treat. What made it even better was the great price – a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. Seating was quick and efficient, and the staff were attentive and friendly throughout. The quick service ensured I didn't have to wait long to dive into my delicious meal. If you find yourself in Porto and craving a filling, reasonably priced brunch, Zenith is the place to be. I wholeheartedly recommend trying their Shakshuka – a culinary delight that will leave your taste buds singing. I'm looking forward to my next visit!
