This is a 5-star rated hotel, with 3-4 star facilities and with 2 star practices. I stayed here for 3 days with my girlfriend, a couple of weeks ago. The rooms are good, the location of the hotel is not. But more disappointing was that they charge for services that are standard for a five star hotel and advertised on their website without any note that there are extra charges. The spa access, for example, is charged extra for at 20 EUR per person per day. Also, they include 2 bottles of water in your room at arrival, but never re-stock the following mornings. Instead, they offer to sell you over-priced small bottles. I drink a lot of water, so had to walk for 10 minutes to purchase water (there are no stores nearby, it's not a great location). In contrast, the Lisbon Sheraton is excellent: excellent service, extra water at no cost, spa access is included - all the things you would expect from a 5-star hotel. Will 100% not stay at the Sheraton in Porto after the disappointing experience, but will stay at the one in Lisbon in the future for sure.

Another solid Sheraton location, in this case, it is close to the Porto city center. I liked the fact that the hotel wasn't right in the middle of the city's confusion. The room was spacious enough and clean. The gym was sufficiently equipped and open 24hrs. I also liked the fact that the restaurants have gluten free options and I can recommend the Iberian Pig Cheeks! Overall recommendable.

Be warned - this hotel charges extra to access swimming pool. Even if as Marriott Titanium / Ambassador member and receive access to a “Club & Spa Access” room, you still have to pay. Very misleading policy and against consumer rights.

Great location. Excellent service. Full service hotel which exceeded my expectations. Great restaurant in the ground level for breakfast and dinner. Club Lounge had great views. Rooms had plenty of space, nice selection of cable. Very clean. Highly recommend this Sheraton when in Porto.

The hotel is great but too far from the city centre (45 minutes walking so take a Uber +/- € 5,-) We were aware but we were only able to book a few hotels from a package deal that was cancelled last year because of Covid and this was the best hotel for us. So, no mistake of the hotel. Nice spacious rooms. The only thing I do not like with these modern glass-walled bathrooms is that if you put the light on in the night your partner awakes because of that. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Housekeeping is very good. Nice terrace outside. I missed an outside pool. However, you could use the inner pool (too warm and some things were not working) for what you need to pay extra for which I think is a bit ridiculous considering the pricing of the rooms.

While the Sheraton can be a top notch hotel, sadly this one is not. The hotel is a mismatch for the area it is located. The rooms are dated, stained counters, scuffed bed boxes and furniture. Hotels are meant to be a home away from home, a place of rest and safety. This one has centrally controlled air-conditioning and it's awful. We sweated each night and begged for some relief. The technicians tried to adjust the low setting but it was still a failure. We lost a lot of sleep and time taken away from our vacation. I do not 🚫 recommend this hotel for a restful place to be.

4 or 5 star experience. PROS: Staying on the club level, you benefit from the club lounge (see my photos) which means you can help yourself to beers, soft drinks and snacks all day. There’s breakfast served in the club lounge as well which is not as good as the main breakfast provided in the restaurant but is adequate in case you can’t be bothered to go downstairs. The spa is so big and has many different rooms and is a must visit. There’s direct access from the club level to the spa via a special lift. The room itself was very clean and comfortable with a stylish bathroom. Staff were friendly and attentive. CONS: The hot breakfast options could be improved in the club lounge (bacon in particular) and one of the rooms in the spa was not working properly. Location is not the best for a weekend break

Nice lobby and courteous staff. Some facilities such as the shower room in the rooms are a bit aged and need a refreshment. Breakfast is good though not the best. The location is quiet and nice, though not the closest to the tourist spots.

Well appointed full service Marriott hotel. Staying three days. Extremely attentive and professional service. Spectacularly clean (it was raining early one morning yet the maintenance crew was outside power washing entryway sidewalk). My only “dissatisfaction” would be location. But even still not enough to diminish rating. Maybe $5 euro Uber to downtown Porto for site-seeing. Valet car service. European breakfast. Spa. Indoor pool. All clean and very well maintained. Room very clean. We expect nothing less from Marriott and very satisfied as Sheraton isn’t a brand we typically stay at.

The hotel was very nice but we experienced some unpleasant events. We are titanium elite. We went to the club lounge and there were no places for us to sit and eat at 7pm. We made a plate and were going to bring it to our room so we could sit and enjoy it and a lounge worker stopped us and said we could not bring our plate to our room … she said we had to stand up and eat in the lounge… there really was not even space to stand and eat…. It would have been a very unpleasant way to have our meal…We left our plates and had to figure out somewhere else we could go to eat. We also had a charge to our room for 51.00 the second day we were there. This was not the hold money they place on your credit card for incidentals (which was charged the day before). We went to the desk and they credited the amount back to our credit card and said the charge was made by mistake… just seems like a very suspect mistakes since we had not charged anything else to our room during the stay… hard to figure how a charge could have gone through without any other charging have been made that may have triggered this “mistake “. We travel a lot with Marriott and have never had a word of complaint… actually just lots of praise for really nice stays. This put a real damper on our vacation and left us with a bad feeling about Marriott… something we had never felt before.

My 6-day stay at the hotel was exceptional. The daily breakfast was a delightful highlight, offering a diverse and delicious spread. The hotel staff exhibited warmth and professionalism throughout, enhancing the overall experience. A highly recommended choice for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

It was my first spa experience since the start of the pandemic and, from start to finish, the spa staff were an absolute dream. They were friendly, engaging, professional. The set-up is COVID-aware but realistic. The spa is very soothing with relaxation areas and comfortable spaces. My therapist was fantastic and I was asleep within minutes of the treatment starting. My skin is glowing and I'm so happy I booked! Thank you 😌❣️

Cons: The pool is not included (it's inside the spa) and it's 20 euros per person per day. Noise in room: Could hear the person in the room next door. There was only a plug on one side of the bed, not both. Mattress was a bit too firm for me. Pros: Room is clean and staff are kind and helpful. Within a 10 minute walk to Francos Metro and various restaurants. Overall I think it's just too expensive for what you get.

Pay extra, extra, extra - extra pool 20€ per person per day , extra parking 25€ per day. Club lounge boring and not nice, the view upstairs is good but furniture to enjoy it is terrible and the wind! Kids are allowed to use the pool from 13:00-19:00.

I expect more from 5 start hotel. On arrival we were informed that spa is not included in the room price, which wasn’t indicated during booking process ( night stay is not cheap, and it was the first time when I needed to pay extra for spa in the hotel I’m staying). A few hours after checking in my husband was electrocuted by the iron ( they did provide us with free breakfast for 1 day as a “sorry note”) And to finish up our “great experience” we were charged 25 euros per day for the parking 😱. Which wouldn’t be such a big issue if personal of the hotel would care to mention that there is an extra charge during check in, which they did, just slipped their mind. So please be ready to pay extra if you came by car. On the good side the room was good with really comfortable bad.

In general, the hotel was great. Cleanliness and very friendly staff . However, when I asked for extra free water for my room, they said I have to pay for it! Decent breakfast spread with egg station and simple sausage and bacon ! Wifi signal was great and room given at club level . Comfy bed with complete toilet amenities provided daily. The club lounge was nice but limited with food and drink choices. Nice view outside and you can enjoy the view or to have a smoke too!

Large modern room with a fantastic bathroom. I normally don't have dinner at the hotel but we had jet lag and kept it simple. Dinner was excellent and the breakfast buffet had a large variety.

This hotel is awesome. Rooms are great, fast elevator, staff is nice. Location is good if you want to stay a little off the touristy places. Not too far, but close enough that it's accessible.

Terrible. I’ve head to call everyday for things that should already be addressed. No bodywash but instead two bottles of shampoo; AC not working consistently; NO toilet paper after room was cleaned; rug is worn and looks like it was a remnant; room doors dinged up and never addressed. When I called the front desk after there was no response via other means just to get body wash there was no apology. No use of the swimming pool unless you pay €20 PER PERSON PER DAY, which is NOT noted on the website. Lobby makes you think this hotel has its act together but it doesn’t. Cleaning crew need to seriously be trained. I’m a Titanium member and will not stay here again. It’s a joke.

It’s a good hotel but from my point of view not a 5 star. The hotel is a little outdated. Service was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good but for the price it could have been more variety. Overall a good stay. The night cost 240€ (breakfast included) and for that price I expected a better hotel overall.

This is a lovely modern hotel with great service. I do want to point out the extraordinary service and kindness offered by Guilherme Graca at the front office. I had to urgently sign and scan some documents and Mr Graca made my day by helping me over and above what I would have ever expected from a hotel staff member🙏👍 It these things that win loyalty and it won me over today! Thank you!

Helpful and friendly staff. My room was clean and tidy. There was lot of construction work in the streets around the hotel and the hotel is a bit away from the center.

Great hotel and very well located. The room was spacious, well equipped and more than enough for a business trip. Breakfast was fabulous.

A grand entrance and very opulent, but couldn’t give 5* as toilet area in the Suite wasn’t smelling fresh enough for an establishment of such stature; still an excellent hotel. Food good too; try the sardines!

Very poor hotel, can not be treated as 5 star at all. Dont even provide basic amenities like milk powder, Tea options for room coffee machine. Which any other 5 star or even 4 star hotel will provide happily free of charge. Swimming pool is also not accessible, you have to pay separately to access the service. The first room provided was not even cleaned properly and because of this room has been shifted to another floor. Staff is also not very cordial, and seems untrained to host guest. Gives impression of a 2 star hotel or motel.

The hotel is a bit dated but the suites are large and have nice views. A bit of a walk from the main area of Porto.

A bit far from touristy things. Yet light rail is a ten minute walk away. Excellent cappuccino in the morning breakfast amidst many other tasty options. Very comfortable corner suite with a view. The executive lounge staff very friendly and the exceeding snacks worth eating.

ultra modern hotel. reception personnel was very friendly, well spoken English and helpful. rooms are very spacious and have all needed amenities. Very quite! Breakfast buffet had plenty of choices and was very tasty. Within walking distance to center of town. I would definitely stay there again on my next trip to Porto.

Surely one of the best, if not the best, hotel in Porto. The rooms - both the bedrooms and meetings - are amazing, the service is second to none. Location is perfect and so is the silence. Love this place!

The spa was the best of bests for 10 euro. Service was good, room was great. However, the breakfast was so disappointing. They didn't have eggtarts or wide ranges of bread or fruits. Taste of coffee was so bad. Only the machine for fresh orange juice was great in the restaurant.

Our stay was exceptional! I was a bit apprehensive about staying here after reading recent reviews but everyone on the staff was super pleasant, friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. As a platinum elite I appreciated the included breakfast, club access and complimentary bottle of port and chocolates sent to my room. Although a taxi or Uber ride from the city center, I would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel at Porto. I have stayed in a suit and everything was perfect. Big room with a nice living room. The bathroom had a shower and a tub and was also big. The TV is quite good also. One of my favorite parts was the breakfast which had many options and the omelette prepared just if front of you were amazing. I also tried the SPA area with the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish sauna which were all relaxing. Staff was very friendly and professional. Everything was spotless. Park your car in the garage as some of the staff alert us that sometimes they brake in cars parked on the street. Loved my time there and I’m looking forward to return.

More of a business hotel than for leisure travel but very nice hotel. Lobby very impressive and sleek fast scenic elevators are fun. Bathrooms have window onto the bedrooms and are spacious with separate shower and bath. Garden area for drinks is nice but could be improved by the addition of an outdoor pool as there is lots of space. Indoor pool and spa is fantastic with huge jacuzzi and jets. Unfortunately guests have to pay 10 euros each time, which is not made clear on the website. Worth the cost though.
