Excellent staff. All very friendly and helpful. Good clean rooms with a good shower and a big TV with lots of channels. Bus outside hotel, and easily get to Porto Centre in 20 mins. The best thing was the value for money. I felt like I got a great deal.

I have been staying here for 4 weeks. Without exception, everyone working at the hotel is very friendly and helpful. Cleaning is good too. Ps: busses in Porto are not reliable. Plan extra time when you take a bus .

We had a brilliant stay in this hotel, the staff are amazing, very helpful and friendly 🤩 The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bus stop 305 is just out the front and takes you right into the centre. A good few resturants nearby hotel too.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Star Inn Porto, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. This gem of a hotel truly exceeded my expectations in every way. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the friendly and professional staff, who made check-in a breeze. The lobby was elegant and inviting, setting a high standard for what was to come. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated. The comfortable bed provided a great night's sleep, and the amenities in the room were top-notch. I especially appreciated the attention to detail in the design and furnishings. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast experience. The hotel's restaurant offered a diverse options for breakfast I was consistently impressed with the quality and flavor of the food. The attentive waitstaff made the first meal feel like a special occasion. Please note that the one I stayed (Star Inn Porto) doesn't have a restaurant so no lunch or dinner available but the breakfast schedule it's from 7h30 to 12h so it's almost like you can have a brunch. Hotel Star Inn also boasts a fantastic location, making it easy to explore the city. Plus, the hotel's concierge was always ready with helpful recommendations and directions. The cleanliness and maintenance of the entire property were remarkable. Housekeeping staff ensured that every corner of the hotel was spotless, and I always felt comfortable and safe during my stay. Overall, my time at Hotel Star Inn was nothing short of exceptional. It's the perfect choice for travelers seeking a luxurious and comfortable stay with outstanding service.

Slightly below what you’d expect from a 3-star hotel. The rooms are quite small, pillows are clumpy and the bed is quite firm. There is no mini fridge/ coffee machine, so you’ll have to get your fix at the restaurant downstairs. The front desk is very helpful and the staff is highly proficient in English.

Clean basic room. Residential location - not much in the vicinity. About a 45 minute walk into Porto, but good taxi services in the area. Short ride (20 mins) from the airport.

Great service at the front desk, friendly, breakfast was quite basic, but did its job for the first morning/when we arrived. Can't fault the hotel. To get into town you need the 301 or 304, from just outside the hotel. Buses are never on time but do run.

Rooms were lovely and clean and fresh bedding and towels daily. We had a standard room so no kettle facilities or mini fridge, this would be my only slight moan. Staff were very nice and helpful which always helps. Nice big TV and free WiFi. We paid for the breakfast each morning which was nice, and of course, eat as much as you like. The location for us was a little out the way for tourists but that being said there's a bus stop right outside the door which takes you to the centre for €2. We also booked uber cars which were cheap enough. Ranging from €7-€15 depending on how luxurious you want your drive. Pleasant stay for us. Thank you 😊

Really nice place to stay if you are visiting Porto. The reception is nice and very helpful if you need some tips. Can move from there very easily, like 3 km to main city centre.

Friendly and helpful staff 👌 the rooms are clean, tidy accompanied with an amazing shower and super comfortable beds! Breakfast is supplied at an additional costs which consists of a variety of fruits, cereals, hot foods and pastries. The hotel is situated a 2 minute walk from all major bus routes/stops. The only thing it was missing was tea making facilities in the room. The room doors needed slamming to shut properly which made a noise of musical door slams when people were leaving their rooms, resulting in waking me up a few times in the night/early morning.

It's been long since I first came to this hotel. This used to be a shinny low-cost hotel, but the carpets are now dirty (pick any floor and you'll find dirt spots of different sizes and colours everywhere) and the bed sheets smell like cheap bleach. The first room they offered me was really noisy as the toilet fan made the walls vibrate (not joking). I complained to the reception and they promptly offered to change. The second one was much quieter. But in both of them the smell of cheap bleach was so strong that I had to open the windows as soon as I got inside. And the walls must be pretty thin as I heard the client next door coughing all night long.

€2 for the Bus no. 304 , 20 mins to town from outside the Hotel. Bus no. 3 M ,is all night 🌙 bus or a 600 takes you to the end of the road, 5 minutes from Hotel. Taxi 🚕 from centre €10 . The Hotel 🏨 is clean and basic, no fridge in the room, Breakfast Continental 😋

Very friendly staff, room was nice and tidy. The restaurant is very good. Breakfast is from 2am to 11am. Awesome service! Just a 3 mins away (on foot) from the airport.

The interior of the room is clean.Bedding was also clean and comfortable. But it stinks the whole time I sleep. I smelled ammonia gas. I couldn't sleep because I was choking myself to death.

Not the greatest initial impression. When I first arrived, the female receptionist refused to acknowledge me. The male receptionist eventually assisted me. The room was clean, however very outdated and gave me motel vibes. The shower could also use a good bleaching. The windows also don’t seal properly so you can hear a lot of noise outside. For close to $100USD per night, I expected better. The two pros are: the shower was hot and the parking was ample.

Car park was mostly full. No disabled access from main car park. Drop off people with mobility issues at front only. Found an old sock covering the smoke detector when I woke up in the morning. Staff really friendly and nice atmosphere in the foyer/ lounge area. Good for airport but you'll need a car if you want to go to central Porto.

The room was clean but a little bit noisy, and the room safe was out of order. The staff are nice. The reason of the 4 star is mainly the quality of the breakfast. The breakfast was a big disappointment for me. The only available warm food was scrambled eggs without any mushrooms or bacon. There is one type of cheese, one type of salami, and I have to say, the coffee coming from the coffee mashine is extremely poor quality.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Robert and Thomas at the front desk really went above and beyond at check in and throughout our stay. Found some really wonderful restaurants nearby (left out the front door, then right at the first street.) The bus stop for the 304 city bus is just across the street. Notes... Be aware there's a similarly named location if you're using Uber, always recheck you have the correct address. Caused an extra charge in arriving. The breakfast was just ok so we only had it once. Really didn't care for the fruit flies everywhere. The biggest challenge was keeping the room cool enough did not make for a consistently comfortable stay.

The Hotel is well placed for local bus trips into the centre of Porto, its has local shops and restaurants which most speak English which is a bonus if you are challenged with the lingo, the locals are extremely friendly, As for the Hotel the rooms are very well layed out and have an excellent shower, which was very welcoming after a hot day out. Local bus stop takes you to Porto central and a short walk local transport can take you anywhere, be advised of you are going to use the buses then go to the tourist office and get a pass for €6 per person entitles you free use of all city buses, well worth it as most destinations are €2.50 per trip one way. Hope this helps enjoy Porto (I know I did )

Decent hotel.Iwould say 3 1/2 stars really and 4 if the shower didn't have mouldy silicone around the base. That said the shower was good and lots of space. Comfy rooms and bed. A little tired but then it was a lower cost. Also a bit out of the way. 15 mins to Metro. There is a bus stop outside the hotel but didn't use a bus. We used Uber at about 8-10 euros to get to city centre.

-I was woken up by a strange activity behind my door, I went to check what was going on. There were 4 guys trying to get into my room. Apparently the receptionist had given them the exact same room key. After a little confrontation, I stated that it's certainly my room... They left. 10 minutes later I got a call from the reception, asking for my details... Like I've done something wrong. Because all of this happened around midnight and I was already asleep, I couldn't get sleep by another couple of hours. And I had a flight to catch the next morning. Other thing that really bothered me, was the lack of normal breakfast. Absolutely NO hot meal, no eggs, no sausages, not even a basic English breakfast with beans.

  • 3/5 Nigel M. 7 months ago on Google
Has the feel of a hostel. Clean with free WiFi. Remote location in a residential area away from the city centre. Basic food and drink offering and 15 minute walk to nearest bar or restaurant.

  • 3/5 Susan P. 6 months ago on Google
The room was adequate, but we have to pay £12 tourist tax, which i found ridiculous. The breakfast was £9 each, and there were no beans, bacon , sausage, or the option of fried eggs. Coffee cappuccino tastes like hot chocolate. Continental only, ham cheese, toast, croissants, pastries, fruit, cereals. There are no cafes or eating places close by. The local shops are far off, too. I found the beds super hard to sleep on, and room aircon partly worked. Was super hot in the room. On the plus side, it is easy to call a taxi from the hotel lobby and a bus service just outside. Bus 300/301 will take you to centre Porto where all the tourism happens at the sao bento station area.

Excellent budget hotel. A little out of town but the bus stop is right at the door & 2 euros (20 mins) into town. 8 to 10 euros in a taxi. Good breakfast for 7 euros but toast , tea/coffee & scrambled eggs are your only hot options. Room was good with one of the best showers I've used.

Great staff, helped with everything. Fine breakfast, room and bathroom. About 20 minutes to metro station Ramalde. Only problem is that you will hear everything because of the thin walls.

This is a budget hotel that is modern. The rooms are clean. We had breakfast included. I would stay here again while visiting Porto. Bus tour passengers also use this hotel. It has a good size parking.

  • 4/5 Lynne J. 4 years ago on Google
Clean and tidy. Lots of hot water. Bathroom very clean. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Tv with many channels. A 25/30 minute walk to neatest metro station: just under €2 to get into Porto centre. Lidl not too far away also. Then short distance to the airport. Also free parking outside hotel ; a good bonus.

Good quality - price. The parking it’s really good, big and free. The service good too. It was working only one elevator and you need to wait long time for it. And the bed wasn’t comfortable. But in summary, recommended.

Lovely really helpful staff. The room was clean and the shower hot and powerful. In the 1st room the toilet seat was broken so moved to another room but air conditioning was broken and so room was freezing. We were given extra blankets or the offer of yet another room. The cafe was clean but basic with a limited menu. The hotel was 20 mins from the centre of Porto which involved either a taxi(12 Euros) or bus ride(2 euros) .

Don't accept a room next to an elevator. I was staying in room 715 and the noise of the elevator during the night keeps you awake all night. Breakfast was OK and Service as well.

GOD NO! Must have been fall the stars somewhere cuz, it was BAD illuminated, and one of 4 lamps in the room wasn't working at all. The breakfast wasn't included and it was very expensive. The only thing that I've liked a lot was the cast of the hotel, always ready to help.

The staff was very nice and friendly! But the room didn‘t look that good, and the breakfast buffet was really small - because of that only 3 stars.

  • 3/5 Dennis van den E. 1 year ago on Google
Never had a worse bed than here. Terrible. People and service are friendly so we could switch room but it was really bad too. Location is good because of bus connection to the city. Free parking is a plus.

Room A/C didn't work. Informed staff 3 times of condition, no apparent action, no feedback, no offer of a different room. Description of room facilities should include disclaimer after "air conditioning" with caveat of "sometimes."

  • 5/5 Raimund S. 1 year ago on Google
Hotel and room better than expected. Breakfast with lots of varieties until 12.00! Walking to historic part of the city lasts more than an hour. I was little bit bissed off, that I had got room for disabled person.

  • 5/5 Kim J. 1 year ago on Google
They had no rooms left, but were kind enough to help us find a room elsewhere. The young woman at the front desk is to be commended for going above and beyond!

We stayed here for two nights in November 2021. Overall we had a good stay. I cannot fault the hotel staff, they went above and beyond for us and made our trip so comfortable. Staff were always ready to help in the reception for any queries we had. They have English speaking staff for those who cannot speak Portuguese. Housekeeping were very prompt and helpful. The hotel is well located and there are cafes nearby, a Lidl, and it's pretty close to the centre of Porto. The room itself was a decent size, basic with few amenities. Bathroom was small but clean. The tiled floor was quite slippery and a bit of a slip hazard so you have to be careful. The room door lock was a bit funny, it didn't close automatically when you close it so there were a few instances where the door would suddenly open from a gust of wind. You have to manually lock it every time, which means that if someone goes outside they cannot get in without the person inside getting up to unlock the door. The only other thing is that there is no air conditioning in the room, there is only a large heater which produces hot air. It didn't bother us so much as it was November, but in the summer I imagine it would be more of an issue. Other than that, the hotel was well santized and clean. Breakfast seemed a bit limited, mostly pastries and small array of other foods. There was a tea and coffee machine which you have to pay for. No kettle in the room. All in all it's a comfortable hotel for short stay.

The location is not ideal but it has its advantages. Free parking. Serenity. Good rooms and friendly staff.

My husband and I have just spent 6 days in this hotel. We used it as a base to explore the cities of Porto & Vila Nova da Gaia. Our room was comfortable and clean. With daily cleaning done. The shower was excellent and the room large. A fridge and kettle would have been nice. For a budget hotel it was a lot better than expected. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. For this city break we did not book a car and relied on public transport. The 304 bus line starts and ends right outside the hotel and takes 20 minutes to get into the centre of the city of Porto and the 600 bus is only a short walk. Being able to see the bus stop from our room was a bonus as we could dash down and still catch the bus with no standing waiting as it waits a little between each journey. Did not do breakfast, so cannot comment on this. There is a little supermarket and a pharmacy in easy walking distance. All in, it was great value for money.

The staff was nice, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I also liked that you can park in the hotel parking, which is quite large. The only thing I missed was more light in the room. The room seemed a bit small for two people, but for one night it was ok.

  • 3/5 jhoniec 1 year ago on Google
A/C did not work in two rooms, they were willing to re-accomodate me, but I declined. Staff is alright, had to pay €2 for city tax which i thought was just silly, free parking and not too far from major tourist sites, I wouldn't recommend the breakfast, you can get a much better deal else where, and yummiest too. Was it terrible, no. Was it great, no.
