The Forum Shopping Centre: Ground Floor - Parking underground. Biggest supermarket l have found so far. So if you are staying in a villa, apartment or even a hotel for more than a few weeks and are self catering this is the place to come to in Madeira. Everything from a deli, selling wide range of cheeses and meats. Vast aisles of wine, vegetables and fruit, frozen produce, and all other food stuffs and domestic household items you can think of. There is a Cafeteria where you can purchase drinks, snacks or even a meal. Many local people can be see dining here as the pricing is very keen. Go along, you could spend a whole day here as there are 3 floors of shops in this centre

Fun, busy market. 3 levels with day fresh fish market on the lower level. Get there early for selection. Great experience. Shop around first. This is your typical tourism spot so unless you're desperate for fresh items I would enjoy walking a few block around to see what's available.

Good. This supermarket is a chain supermarket and is part of the Portuguese chain of stores throughout the island of Madeira. It has a rather limited selection of goods, as this store tries to sell goods of its own production or goods under its own brand. But in general, it has a good selection of vegetables and a good selection of fruits, as well as products that are presented in the usual standard supermarkets throughout Europe.

Check out aisle far to narrow when it's so busy ,it's mad having two butchers on when your 17th in the queue

A local supermarket. Large selection of stuff, especially fresh produce, veg, fish and meat.

Vast amount of fresh produce and daily basis you might need. It gets busier here on the weekend.

Excellent supermarket. Well stocked. TIP: try the canteen for some amazingly cheap but very tasty local food

Great place to get a good lunch and shopping. Need to know they weigh the plate of food and it is so reasonable.

They employ good people here 😊 Once or twice would've been a coincidence, but everyday I went there for a week, I found interesting and helpful people who took their time.

My favorite Pingo Doce! I love the food there. For the most part, the food is better than a lot of restaurants on the island, plus you can pick what you want and how much you want. The store is big and well organized. Staff is always nice and helpful! 5 stars!!!!

One of the best supermarkets regarding local and intl foods. Like most supermarkets here, they sometimes have specific items, and other times not.

The best supermarket in the region. Located in the Forum. Good discounts every week, make sure to get the weekly advert. Has fresh meat, fish and sausage/cheese counters. Also has a bread/cake counter. Highly recomended.

It's a supermarket. Different experience to the UK but seems to have the essentials. You need to walk right round b4 purchasing and they don't do lunch time meals like in the UK.

A large supermarket with an excellent range of food, drink, and consumables. The fresh vegetable section is particularly good. Conveniently located on the ground floor of the forum.
