Really amazing family owned and operated restaurant. We had great fresh traditional Portuguese meal. Father was in the back cooking, we were served by the matriarch— Regina who was an absolute joy, and their sweet son— Hugo!! The restaurant is very small, but absolutely worth the wait. Get there early to get in line. Would absolutely visit again!!

Best food and service in Porto. We had clams, octopus and codfish dishes and everything was so fresh and perfect. Regina and Hugo were so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you! Will be definitely back again.

Absolutely delicious and worth the 1.5hours wait. The grilled octopus was the best we’ve had, beautifully cooked and very tender. Prawns were so fresh, sweet and briny in the best way. It’s a small space and extremely popular so expect to wait.

We ordered the octopus, shrimp pasta, and fish of the day. After that, we had the Outra and pudding flan for dessert. Every dish was absolutely amazing! It’s a family run business, and the mom, dad, and son were all so welcoming. The service was super friendly, too. 100% highly recommended! We’ll definitely be coming back next time! 💖💖🇵🇹🧡

Finally understood why the reviews were SO good. Had to queue 45 mins before the first dinner serving, but felt like it was worth it. Had the seafood rice, and the grilled octopus, and both were excellent. The grilled octopus were tender and flavourful, and the seafood rice was deep in taste and hearty. Had a few seafood rice meals throughout Portugal, and got to say, this is one of the best ones. Also had the chocolate dessert which was an excellent way to end the meals. The staff were fantastic, attentive but not imposing. Highly recommend!

The staff were so friendly! Even my parents, who don’t speak a word of English, managed to have a lively conversation with them—of course, through body language! The food was amazing—fresh and delicious. The seafood paella and the octopus were perfectly suited to everyone’s taste! With the delicious food, welcoming staff, and excellent dining environment, my parents gave it the highest praise, saying it felt just like home! I will definitely come back next time! Highly recommended to everyone!

Waited about 30-40 min for a place at dinner since they don't do reservations but so worth the wait! Loved the food and the guys there were so sincere and friendly. We had the seafood rice (must order), whole grilled fish, fried sardines and octopus. Seafood was so so fresh and dinner was absolutely delightful!

I went there two days in a row. They don't take reservations so I needed to wait more than 30mins. But it was worth more. Foods were really delicious and staff were friendly and professional. I definitely go there again if I go to Porto.

Beautiful restaurant, great ambiance, and even better service. The family and staff were so attentive well above other restaurants in Porto. Worth the hour and a half wait. Would recommend coming early for the best chance to get in as they only take walk ins. Also only cash as a fair warning. Will definitely come again when in the area. Highly recommend the octopus, fish of the day, and seafood rice. And in last thing, if you haven’t tried we do recommend the porto tonic.

Truly outstanding restaurant, the service was super friendly & the food was amazing, every dish we ordered was delightful, especially that dessert "outra", this chocolate cake was next-level. The lady next to us ordered a second one right after finishing the first & we did the same! Highly recommend this restaurant.

Great family owned and run restaurant! We had the squid, veal steak followed by pudding for dessert. The family has amazing customer service skills, fresh and tasteful food, as well as amazing atmosphere. You can't leave this place without a smile.

A real treat. Waited in line for about 30 minutes or so and was absolutely worth it. Great service - didn't get names of the staff but really, really lovely. Friendly, funny, and accommodating. Portions are generous and delicious. Everything we had was incredibly tasty but I definitely recommend the pulpo...the best octopus I've had in a long while (perhaps ever) Far too full for dessert but I'm sure it would have been great! Doesn't take reservations from what I understand, so turn up on time and get in line. It's absolutely worth a visit! And cash only!

Fantastic dinner. This was my favorite meal in Porto. The octopus salad is one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. The staff (small family) was super friendly and attentive. Note, tables are first come first serve; they do not take reservations. If you want to be in the first wave of tables, I recommend showing up 45-60 min before open. We arrived 30 min before open and did not make it in the first round of tables. Pro tip: If this happens, go to Ryan’s around the corner to get to-go drinks while you wait.

Had high expectations due to multiple recommendations and high Google ratings, they really did not disappoint, it was the best dinner I had during my trip in Porto. I tried the codfish cake and fish of the day. Fish was fresh and well seasoned, they even helped to remove the bones. The seafood rice had special flavours and had slight spiciness which enhanced the taste of the dish.

Nice warm family ran restaurant. It is quite popular but there are not a lot of tables. There was a queue outside the restaurant and some were told they wouldn’t get a table before the restaurant closed. Probably need to get there before 19:45 if really interested to dine here. Otherwise the food was exquisite. Everyone was very welcoming.

Only walk ins, and we came around 1.30pm and they were all full and had to turn some people away, as they are closing at 230pm. We were lucky to get a table. Excellent hospitality by Chef J, Hugo and the team. Octopus was incredibly soft and tender, I don’t know how they do this. The seafood rice was superb and we couldn’t finish it - I think it’s good for 3 pax. Porto tonic was 10/10. Red wine was also very good!
