This bar is outstanding. Cocktails were different and delicious, and service was even better. The owner/manger even went to the trouble to book a table for me at a restaurant which we could not book!

The cocktails here were fantastic and so unique. We had such a great time chatting with the staff, they were super friendly, happy to explain the menu and inspirations to us. The vibe of the restaurant is very intimate, thanks Mathidle for having us😁

100 stars. We stayed in Porto for 4 nights and stopped by this bar for all of them. All credit must go to the bartenders Carolina, Gonçalo, and Eduardo. Their brand of hospitality is outstanding, and you can tell they really care about the people who come in. This place is just like a big warm hug. The drinks- Everything about this place is extremely thoughtful. The menu is well calibrated and every drink comes with a story. I learned more about Portugal sitting in this bar in 1 night than I have in any of the books I read before visiting the country. The techniques behind the drinks demonstrate a command of the profession, and the ingredients and flavors are some of the most creative I’ve ever tried. The bartenders are able to explain the drinks and make sure you’re picking one that you’re going to enjoy. Beyond the menu, they can make all the usual classics, and their liquor selection is expansive (just don’t ask for a beer). In short, come because the drinks are amazing, stay because the people are even better.

The more well known cocktail bars in Porto are cool, but Marlindo beats them all out in service, cost, and quality. The team here is incredible. I visit every time I’m in the city. They bring history to life with their cocktails. I’ve had most of the menu at this point and not a single choice has been a disappointment. Put this at the top of your list.

We stumbled upon Marlindo 1959 during our honeymoon road trip through Portugal, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our time in Porto! What truly made our night unforgettable were the owners. They were incredibly welcoming and took the time to chat with us, sharing great recommendations for the rest of our trip. Stopped in Marlindo 1959 on our first night in Porto and couldn't think of a better way to cap our first evening. Cocktail menu is based on the first trip from Portugal to Brazil and every single one of them we tried were brilliant. Big shout out to our server (sorry should have asked her name!) who was outstanding - so informative and pleasant and impeccable English. Can't wait to come back 🙂

Great staff, amazing cocktails, loved the music and overall vibes. Couldn’t decide and they were kind enough to make something off the menu based on flavours I like. Clearly deserve all the awards they have. Highly recommended!

So happy to have stumbled across this hidden gem of a bar. From the moment we walked in, the vibes from the bar and the service was absolutely incredible. The storytelling of the menu was given to us by our amazing waiter who was so friendly and attentive the entire time we were there In total, we tried 6 different cocktails, which were all so well balanced and truly represented so many different flavours and experiences based on the menu. We would’ve loved to try everything on the menu, and I truly believe you can’t go wrong with any cocktail they offer there. This is definitely a place we must come back to the next time we visit Porto!
