Easy to find heading from Newmarket to Cambridge. My sat nav knew the way although it was clearly signposted from the A14. Plenty of space to park and we only paid when getting on the bus. The journey was around 15 minutes into Cambridge and we got off outside the bus station. The same stop is used to head back to the car park.

Great way to hop into Cambridge. Buses run every 15 minutes dropping you into the centre of Cambridge. Free parking £3 return on the bus. We visited for the day, well worth the value and toilets at the start too.

Section set up and well posted to direct to the drive through blood test.worked like clockwork. Had to take pity on the poor NHS worker masked but in the boiling sun making sure everyone was going in when they should and where abouts they should go.well done Cambridge NHS.

Once again, bus was timetabled, was on the "live" tracker at the bus stop, didn't turn up and just magically disappeared. I take the bus rarely, but every single time this seems to happen. Cancel by all means, but at least tell people. That way we can skip the run to the bus stop and 27 minute wait. Ragecoach is one of the worst services in the UK.

Does what it says on the tin. Although I am pretty certain that my car was hit from behind once we left the car park. But apart from that, very handy for getting to Cambridge town.

Fabulous set up and long may it continue. This arrangement works really well and the phlebotomists are excellent. It makes life so much easier to just sit in your car, wait your turn and have your blood taken without even getting out of the car. I cannot rate the concept and the people highly enough. Thank you.

Used this park and ride on match day as visiting Bristol Rovers supporters. Waited 35 minutes for bus to arrive, then another 10 minutes plus whilst the driver took fares from long queue. After the match the queue was so long we realised we would not get on the first bus when it arrived so decided to walk back. Only 1 bus went past us before we arrived back at our car. No wonder people park on grass verges and wherever they can. Shambles.

NHS Blood Tests. First time I’ve used the service. A bit different from my local testing arrangements. Here you drive into the car park, take a ticket and wait for your number. Ideal for us, only 8 people in front. Marshall said there could be up to a queue of 40 on a busy day. But you get it on the day you want. My local service is done by booking a time slot but up to 3 weeks away! Both have advantages and disadvantages.

Easy parking, buses every 10 minutes throughout the day friendly, helpful drivers, especially as 1 of our group was on a mobility scooter, will definitely use again

Excellent place to park, first time going there on my own, buses are frequent and reasonably priced for a return journey

Went here on Sunday the 14th of may when the new electric buses were launching. I was proud to get on 86001, BV23 NPZ. It smelt like a new bus haha but the ride was very smooth. Also, the P&R lets you stay there for up to 18 hours for free which basically screams have a day trip in Cambridge. I love it.

Buses regularly never show on time. Bus drivers either leaving too late and not going on time, then two appearing at the same time instead of 10-20 mins apart. Even if you get to the DOOR of the bus the drivers make eye contact and just drive off sometimes, you can’t win! Not to mention the cost going up from £3 to £3.50, yet you can pay a return at the start of the day and you may end up with a 40 min wait or your bus not showing up at all…. 🙄 I will say only one bus driver has been redeeming lately (I believe he is a new driver who was working on Mon 5th this week) and apologising for the late buses and giving friendly greetings.

I parked and I rode! Easy to find. When you want to return from town it's the same bus stop as the one you got off at which makes life easier. Bus drivers were friendly, and cost reasonable. Didn't have to wait long for the bus on either journey. So all in all a good experience!

Very convenient and cheap. I like the way it states free parking which to be fair is the cost of the bus ride Into town. To be fair tho bus drivers were lovely and friendly

Actual reason for visit was a blood test. It was very well organised, quick and efficient. Staff were very nice and explained the procedure clearly.

It's okay if you want to shop in Cambridge. The fare to the town centre is £3.50 per person rtn - which means that it can soon be more expensive to park here then some of the town centre car parks.

I went to Newmarket p/r to gain excess to the blood test centre that's there but the car park had plenty of room left to park and the facilities are very good, toilets good and a vending machine if your in need of something to munch on and you access the Cambridge ice rink through the car park a good place .

Always so easy to use! Lots of parking. Clear directions. Free to park. Cheap bus travel and journey doesn't take long. Easy to find your bus back. Friendly and helpful bus drivers too!

Convenient carpark for Cambridge. Plenty of free parking and 3 of us got a group bus ticket into town for under £9.

Large and easy to find. Parking is free, you pay for the bus journey. When I visited there were plenty of parking spaces.

Don't know what has happened to this service. It used to run every ten minutes and was a reliable way to avoid taking a car into the city centre. Since the summer, you've been lucky if you get more than two buses an hour. Hugely frustrating waiting about, and a joke that the Council claim to want to encourage us to use public transport. When buses do turn up, they can get very crowded, which in these covid times makes for a worryingly uncomfortable journey.

Like all the Cambridge Park and Rides this is as good. as any. Easy to find and park. regular busses and the cost is very reasonable if you are going to stay in the City for a few hours.

  • 5/5 Wayne W. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent, if your visiting Cambridge take advantage of this facility, £3 return to city centre about 10 mins away. Don't bother trying park in the city centre it's expensive and space is limited.... The service runs a bus about every 10-15 mins.

Should re name Park & Walk or Park & and cross your fingers a bus may turn up at some point during the day. Shocking service especially on a match day, no staff available to ask eta of bus’s or to what schedules they are running. What should have been easy turned into a huge hassle, must have been 50-60 people waiting an hour. Thanks to the No 11 bus driver on the main road who waited for us whilst we sprinted to the bus and got us to the match on time.

Easy to get to both ways. £8.40 return for a family of 3 was good value and saved the hassle of sat nav city centre parking, bus lane transgressions etc. Friendly driver. A few trees that helped keep car shaded in the heat, but not really enough. Still good

Look, it's a park and ride. If you're basing your decision where to 'park and ride' on Google reviews you need to get out more, maybe invest in a hobby or learn an instrument. Your life is passing you by, strive to achieve something before life passes you by. Convenient if you're coming from the westbound A14, didn't wait too long for a bus, coffee machine and toilets. Not IN but and - very important.
