Staff were really friendly and helpful. Morgan was especially helpful and was willing to talk me through getting a new phone - both for myself and for my mum. Would recommend this store and their friendly staff to anyone

Much better service here than in Currys Cardiff which is awful! It's still Currys, so you will get the hard sell but the staff are more friendly here than in Cardiff. Jan who works on white goods was nice lady. Not a fan of the Sony Rep in this store, I found him to be a bit arrogant and bit load too

I will admit it was busy I had no worries in waiting my time that wasn’t the issue, like he was superior.. last time I checked managers didn’t behave like that.. but he had a stinking attitude and clearly didn’t want my custom. Won’t be returning there is a way to speak to people and he clearly doesn’t have them skills.

Asked to unlock and inspect new fold and flip phones prior to purchase for the wife and I. Shop worker refused request "we are in merthyr! " he said. I explained how disrespectful that remark was. We will take our business elsewhere.. Worse customer service ever.

Nice clean and bright store. The staff were quick to pay attention to me and make the sale. I was in there to buy a tumble drier and get it delivered. I was very happy with the process. Some items weren't in stock but I think that's always the case with white goods as they are so bulky. If I'd wanted an out of stock item I'd have to wait a few more days but I needed my tumble drier as soon as possible!

Although the staff were helpful we still left without the 2 items (TV and Gaming laptop) we had gone in to buy. Unfortunately the TV was out of stock (even though an online check said there was 1 in store). The laptop could be ordered into store in 2 days, great, however we couldn't use a £100 gift card we had for Christmas unless we took out the pay in instalments option as that will accept the gift card as a deposit. So although this was not what we wanted we agreed. Then to get told as there are credit checks etc needed this could take a week (laptop was needed in 5 days as a birthday gift) at that point we gave up and left. And ended up in Argos where the entire transaction took mins and we left with a gaming laptop!

From point of sale to delivery, completely satisfied. Unfortunately the only down side was that the store in Merthyr allowed us to browse without any interuption, unlike stores in Bangor, Llandudno, Rhyl, Wrecsam etc, where staff are on you as soon as you are walking down the shop floor. Was strange in Merthyr to get the time to look without being pestered by staff.

Got what I needed quickly. Staff friendly and helpful. Didn't mind my 10year old who has DS running around and and wanting to watch all the TVs

It's a good range and very neat and tidy. The staff seem to know what they're doing, but they don't really. They couldn't tell that a £3k TV and £1k soundbar weren't lip synched or what to do about it.

I baught 80 pound headphones for my daughter and was promised they would be there for store collection the next day only to be told the next day there's at least a 2 day wait. I told the boy they were a birthday present an he said they will 100% be there so that was disappointing when we went to collect and he said there's a 2 to 3 day delivery to store 😞

Attended Currys to better understand their phone deals on the Carphone Warehouse kiosk positioned right in front of the main doors. Although there was approximately a 5 minute delay in a Customer Services Rep. offering support, when one arrived he was polite, knowledgeable, helpful and professional, identifying the strengths and weaknesses of each of the phones I expressed an interest in and tailoring his approach to suit. Came away wish a cracking deal and collected the phone the next day. Only reason I have not given 5* for this experience is that the phone arrived the next day (as suspected and advised by the customer services rep. could be the case) but I was not notified by the store and could not contact the store directly as there was no direct dial available on Google, with general customer services being useless. Thank you for a generally good experience, special shout out to customer services reps that I dealt with originally and upon picking up my phone the next day. Would recommend for experience and deal obtained. Keep up the good work Merthyr Currys.

Currys Merthyr is a big store with a large range of goods, however they don't stock everything you see on their website. If you're going to buy something you've seen online from a store, checking they actually stock it first may save you a trip. I wanted an electric blanket but they're only available online.

Pontypridd branch didn't have what I wanted in stock, there were 3 in Merthyr. Pontypridd wanted to charge £30 to have it delivered to store next day, or £20 if I waited 6 days. It was an item I needed that day, but even if I could have waited, I felt asking for £30 for next day was extortionate. I went to Merthyr and collected one of theirs. Cost me an hour of my time there and back. I'm sure I didn't use £30 worth of fuel... Had they quoted £30 to deliver to my home address I'd understand, but not to store for me to go back and collect. Also, I found the staff upstairs were not very helpful 😕

Bought a laptop online. Website said there was one available to collect so opted for that as even though a long drive would mean having it that day. Order taken but no collection until delivered to store two days later. It hasn't turned up. Offshore customer services are adamant it's been delivered and signed for by someone named 'Depot'. Even been back to the store, it's not there. Total shambles, awful customer service and impossible to raise a complaint. Avoid at all costs.

Miserable Elf…. In the current economic climate you would think that Employees would want their store to perform well, sadly, not at Curry’s Merthyr. Entering the shop, the staff (all male), were dressed in Elf jumpers. I couldn’t find what I wanted, there were 4 males huddled around a computer desk, not one of them approached to offer any help. Had I not wanted the item as a Christmas gift I would have just walked out. As I approached the desk 3 males walked in the other direction. One Elf was left at the computer desk, I asked if they sold the product. He didn’t even have the courtesy to take his eyes off the screen to look me in the face, he just said “No” Shocking service! Never ever again….

We ought a dish washer this week .we were advised and served by Gavin at Merthyr Tydfil branch. He was a bright and knowlegible salesman with a very pleasant manner. We left feeling well satisfied.

Absolutely brilliant experience at Curry’s Merthyr! I was served by LINDA (absolute brilliant woman) she went through loads of options with me regarding a surround sound set, and an MacBook. She did everything she could to make sure you was happy with your purchase and went above and beyond. LINDA is the definition of customer service. Definitely needs a pay rise, what a woman and a credit to Curry’s Merthyr !

Normally a great store but this time had to wait 7 days for a ninja air fryer, if I ordered it online it would of been there in 2 days

The worst store with the most awful staff. Avoid if you like anything that resembles customer service. This review isnt being left after 1 bad experience but 4 now. So enoughs enough.... Time to be honest.

It’s ok. There’s a lot of items to pick through. The biggest problem here is the pushy staff trying to get you to buy. Not one but several will approach you. It’s very off putting. Another big no no from me is the lady on tvs who is very pushy, follows you around and tries to get you to take out credit for tvs. Just be mindful if you go in you will be approached all the way around there!

It I could zero stars I would. Took my daughters I pad here that she brought less than a month ago as screen had cracked without any impact had seen on Google this had happened to a few people. The man insisted that my daughter had dropped it even tho there was no dents and she hadn't he was very rude basically said she was lying. Will never buy anything from curry's again!
