My recent visit to Stonehenge was a truly awe-inspiring experience that transported me back in time and left me contemplating the mysteries of the ancient world. The imposing stone circle, standing against the backdrop of the vast Salisbury Plain, was a sight to behold. The sheer magnitude of the stones and the precision with which they were placed ignited my imagination and curiosity. The audio guide provided insightful commentary that delved into the history, theories, and significance of Stonehenge. Learning about its possible functions, construction methods, and the cultures that might have been involved added a layer of depth to the visit. The visitor center was well-designed and informative, offering interactive exhibits that further enriched my understanding of the monument's history and the surrounding landscape. The gift shop featured a wide range of items related to Stonehenge, making it a great place to find unique souvenirs. However, it's worth noting that the site can get quite busy, especially during peak tourist seasons, which might impact the tranquility of the experience. Despite this, the overall atmosphere remained respectful and awe-filled. One aspect that could be improved is the proximity of the visitor center to the actual monument. The shuttle bus or walk to the site might be a minor inconvenience for some visitors, but the reward of seeing Stonehenge up close is well worth the effort. In summary, my visit to Stonehenge was a memorable and thought-provoking journey into the ancient past. The monument's grandeur, historical significance, and the opportunity to ponder its mysteries make it a must-visit for history enthusiasts and those seeking a deeper connection with the past.

This is a well designed and implemented display and visitor building. The outside area of the huts is particularly stunning, with fantastic photograph opportunities. There's ample parking spaces available, including disabled parking spaces, too. Please be aware that non-members will have to pay ยฃ5 per vehicle The place is super clean and well laid out so easy to navigate.

It's a dream come true moment for me and my hubby. Unbelievable site which will give you goosebumps when you visit this place by hearing its history. We booked tickets online. There is a big car parking space. After parking, go to the booking section, and they will give you Stonehenge bracelets. Initially, we walked to the bus point, and they drove us to the stones. Took the bus again to come back ,then went to see the exhibition.Tje bus ride is free for everyone. If the weather is nice, you can even choose to walk to the stones . I was really wondered by the skeleton display. There are lots of exhibits which will amaze you. There is a cafe, gift shop as well as toilets for males, females, baby diaper changing toilets, and wheel chair people . I will definitely go to visit this place again in the summer.

Visited Stonehenge visitor centre for the 1st time today. And despite the weather thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The artifacts on display are great and the guides were very informative. There is a bus to take you to the Stones every 5mins or its a 1.5 mile walk!. Overall definitely worth a visit just for the history alone . Plus the Pasties in the restaurant are spot on ..๐Ÿ‘

Highly educational and informative, the easy to download app on mobile helped me to walk through each installation and understand to the best extent possible. The Museum and Cafe are excellent. A must visit after seeing the prehistoric Stonehenge.

A nice little preview before seeing the stones. It offers a brief overview of Stonehenge and how they believe it came to be and what some of the uses may have been. It further offered an insight into the history of humanity and how our ancestors lived and worked together. A nice little touch and the staff are very lovely and friendly

Very disappointed with the Visitor Centre. The coffee is appalling for the price and the amount they sell.... it's basically instant coffee. Cakes & hot food very basic too. Toilets are filthy and in need of a deep clean. C'mon English Heritage, you can do much better! All the tourists from other countries are going out of the way to see this place. One million visitors a year!... you could put some of that money back into the Centre.

Absolutely stunning. Itโ€™s a must stop for anyone visiting the south. Highly recommend walking out on the trail to Stonehenge from the visitor center. Approaching from a distance gives a unique experience. Thereโ€™s also a bus stop from the visitor center that allows for transport to and from Stonehenge.
