Lovely bird park and very helpful staff. I could honestly sit here all day listening to the birds and the flowing water of the ponds. Had an interactive experience at the end when we walked through a large cage with the birds free all around us.

This is definitely a little hidden gem on the island. This place is gorgeous! The aviaries are beautiful and well kept. Birds look great. The landscaping is breathtaking. Water features are throughout the gardens. The many different plants and flowers are just as exciting to view as the birds. There are some pretty cheeky birds which made us laugh. Take your time when going through. The garden isn't very big but has a lot in it. At the top of the garden is a snack bar. We had lunch here. My husband got the prego special which he said was really good. I and my daughter got a cheeseburger and 1 bowl of fries. The fry order was big enough for 3 of us. We also got the madeiran bread with garlic butter. Dessert was chocolate soft serve on a cone. The staff was excellent. Beside the bar is a playground the kids can get energy out at while waiting for food or after food. After the bar, you go back down and then through an aviary with free roaming birds. Which is fun. The gift shop has lots of fun souvenirs. Don't forget to get fish food for the kids. The fish are hilarious and quite entertaining to feed.

A delightful holiday visit. We didn’t have children with us, but I’m sure any child would love it. Gorgeous parrots and cranes and flamingos on a beautifully landscaped hillside with a stream running down connecting a series of koi carp pools. Beautiful planting too, so all set in lovely garden. And yes, there was information in English; scan the QR codes! Great cafe, clean loos and, we thought, value for money! Buy some fish food! Oh, and Childrens’ playground!

What a gem of a place! A must visit for sure! All the birds and fish seen was so amazing! Everything is so well cared for and the staff were lovely! Finished off with a lovely coffee and cake and a play with the local kittens!!

What a great place, the whole area is wonderful park with beautiful plants/flowers and beautiful and healthy birds, and lots of fishes...we had such a great time there. Kids had fun at the wonderful playground and I enjoyed hanging out at the restaurant in the meantime ☺️ It's definitely worth a visit for people every age! We'll come again!

Beautiful bird garden with a lot of parrots from all around the world. It is a bit sad though that they are in a cage with plant pictures but not natural life. Only the last area is an open natural habitat. 7 euro per person.

We loved our visit here. The kids enjoyed feeding the fish and looking at all the birds. Nice little cafe and a park for kids to play. Just so calm and relaxing. Nelita is super friendly and very informative. Most of the staff we encountered were very friendly.

What a fantastic place, it may be a little more than some attractions in Maderia but yu can really see how your money is used. Birds and fish are in really beautiful enclosures. Great facilities, friendly staff, super bar an play area. Will be visiting again.

Absolutely stunning place! There are not only birds, but also amazing koi fish. Very friendly staff, answering all questions, they take such loving care of their charges. The star of the park is the dancing parrot :) He made our day. Last visitors can enter at 17.30

I went there and it is kinda magical. The staff is friendly and there are a lot of exotic birds and karma fish. They have a bar and nice restrooms if you need it. I loved everything, specially for a date.

This place is just wonderful. The 300+ beautiful exotic birds are generally friendly and are surrounded by ponds, rock configurations, amazing plants, waterfalls and friendly staff. There’s a lovely cafe and a children’s playground. Considering they just opened, the plants are very well established. Plan to spend a couple of hours, more if you enjoy the cafe.

As big parrot lovers we could not miss this place during our holiday on Madeira. Large amount of various and rare species, beautifully made ponds, bridges, voliers for birds. UNFORTUNATELY NO INFORMATION TABLE IN ENGLISH ☹️ That is the reason for not giving 100%. Despite this it is worth seeing, recommend!
