I walked here from my hotel on Alvor beach using the boardwalk and then following a narrow path which led into a development of villas and then followed the signs for the restaurant Canico. Views from above the beach and the surrounding rock formations are spectacular and you are very high up at this point. You can choose to walk down from the top to the beach by a set of steps or if you head towards the restaurant there is a passage way that leads to a lift that will take you down and deliver you at the back of the restaurant from where you can walk out to the beach. It’s a beautiful secluded spot and well worth the walk and you can choose to sit or explore even more hidden coves.

One of the most beautiful beaches I’ve been. Very Long Beach with soft white sand and lots of cafes along the coast. Parking is available close by and the rocks really add to the vibe. A must see

Wow, this beach is beautiful. The water, the sand, the rocks, just about everything about it is amazing. Not too crowded and with a lot of nooks to hide from the wind and sun. The rocks set the mood here giving you a sense of privacy.

This is my favourite beach in the area. Better at lower tides, beautiful cliffs and natural arches, enclosed, decent cafe/bar.

Probably the most picturesque, enchanted beach location I’ve ever visited. Breathtaking! It’s almost secret, you have to climb over a few rock formations, cross through arches, wade through some water. But the end result is amazing. Would recommend as a must do when visiting alvor.

Praia da Prainha is this amazing hidden beach that you need to enter through the beach of the three sisters (prai dos Três Irmãos). You climb a rocky path and enter a large hidden beach with amazing views, fantastic waves and a secret secluded feeling although it even has a restaurant (Caniço) in the rock wall at the top of the beach. So very sorry to see that this year it was inaccessible due to a large number of I think dead algae (see pictures) and we weren't able to access or enjoy it. I can't imagine what this must mean for the restaurant Caniço in the cliff wall... Hope it will be available again next time.

Naturalistic beach 🏖 Low water times are the best to get the best views

A beautiful beach, right next to Alvor Beach. The water temperature is excellent. The access is by long stairs, a little steep, perhaps people with limited mobility cannot do it alone.

Praia da Prainha is this amazing hidden beach that you need to enter through a restaurant or a staircase near the cliffs. Very beautiful caves and beautiful sand beach.

Best beach for me in the area! Looks awesome always.
