We’ve stumble upon “Tasca do Gigante” by chance as we were nearby looking for good local food from Alentejo. We couldn’t ask for more, not only the food was delicious, the owner was an absolute wonderful person and it is very obvious the proud shown to local tradition and food. Quite amazing how a simple meal turned into an amazing conversation that spanned across the table next to us, accompanied by the delicious “Além-Tejo” delicacies. What a gem. A must try.

Most probably one of the best “tasca” I’ve been in a very long time. Strongly recommend. Let the owner Enio take care of everything. Just seat down and enjoy the priceless moment of the delicious food you will be served. Well done Enio and family. All the best and good luck.

Such a fantastic little tasca with loads of love. Couple in the room and mother in the kitchen. Food to die for, litteraly, light and insanely tasty. Ennio is the manager and such a fun/kind person. I will go back in 3 weeks from Lisbon on purpose

Go there now. The food is delicious and the service is homely. They only serve petiscos which is fabulous as get to savour various dishes. The house wine was superb. Why you still reading? Go there NOW.

Amazing and super cameral place when you feel like an actual guest of the owner who puts lots of heart in running it. Delicious wine, great octopus pies and the best beef cheeks I ate in my life. If you around, don’t miss it!

We liked very much. Linda & Enio make you feel un your town. The Chef is Linda's mother, so everything within the family. You can do sampling differen small dishes which combine terrific with the Wine chart options. This is a MUST at MORA Town 😊

When we were looking for interesting restaurants in the respective locations while preparing our little round trip through Portugal, we came across a rating of 4.9 (!). This made us curious because a 4.9 is pretty rare. What we were able to experience there developed into the culinary highlight of our trip from the very first minute. The owner gave us a warm welcome and made us feel as if we had known each other for a long time. We were allowed to sit in the outdoor area, which consisted of a single table on a narrow sidewalk. With skillful questions, he tried to fathom our food and wine preferences. His recommendations were therefore accurate, we trusted him completely and our expectations were far exceeded. The suggested red wine from the region also developed into a sensation in taste after a short period of breathing. And that too at an amazingly low price. When we asked the owner to give the chef our compliments for the excellent food, he referred us to a slightly older lady who was sitting reservedly and almost inconspicuously a few meters away from us on a chair on the side of the road. It turned out to be his mother-in-law. She acknowledged our compliments with a soft smile and a dismissive hand gesture. So the saying is true here: Eat like at mother's home. This inconspicuous lady conjures up traditional Portuguese dishes of a quality that is simply gigantic. It's not just the quality of the food that's gigantic, the friendliness and cordiality is gigantic, the individual and natural response to the guests' wishes is gigantic. The overall performance that is offered here in the smallest of spaces is gigantic. So a clear recommendation and a sixth star if there were one. Please make a reservation, because there are really only a few places available. We will definitely come back as soon as the opportunity arises!

Friendly welcome by the owner. We asked him to surprise us with typical Portuguese dishes. The snacks and drinks were delicious. We really felt spoiled. Our first evening in Portugal ended in a fantastic way. Joost en Ilse Belgium
