Very clean and perfectly quiet. Fully equipped even for a longer stay. Surprisingly looks better than in the photos. The location couldn’t be better: the old town, a huge supermarket, bus stops, public beach, restaurants, the famous local market — all super close. Very good soundproofing, really. The bed is firm, and if one pillow isn’t enough comfortable for you, there are more in the wardrobe. The place doesn’t need an air conditioner for the architecture of the house provides excellent light and climate. Hot water all the time. Bringing your own toiletries is recommended. The lack of a stunning view is fully compensated by the interior. It’s a pleasure to have breakfast on the balcony because the sun doesn’t hit here in the morning. The host is very friendly and is always available to answer any questions. Thank you, Rui! Would be happy to come again.

The apartments were very comfortable and we'll furnished. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom very modern. The cleaning services were superb! Additionally, the location of the apartments was very central, 2 min away from one of the main streets of Funchal. All of this for a very fair price! Finally, the host, Rui, was amazingly friendly and available! Will definitely recommend Casa dos Avós to anyone who stays at Funchal.

We very lucky enough to be redirected from our hotel to this place. Very nice and well equpied rooms right at the center of Funchal close to public transport, restaurants, super market etc. Very friendly and kind owner who is willing to answer your questions and help you with any thing if he can. 👍

Everything was perfect. Rui is so kind and friendly, make sure to visit restaurants he recommends, they are really the best. The apartment is all you could wish for, the building is beautiful, renovated in a very luxurious but still tasteful way. The location is the best in the city center, few minutes walking anywhere. Everything was perfect. We really enjoyed our stay at Casa dos Avos! The location is very central. The studio was spacious and clean and also surprisingly quiet for being in the center of Funchal. The communication with Rui was great. He was very helpful and also recommended a very good restaurant! We will definitely come back if we come back to Madeira!

The only thing I regret after staying at Casa dos Avos Apartments is that the period of my stay in the apartments ended so quickly and I had to leave them. Mr. Rui is not only the owner of these apartments, he is the first assistant, friend and adviser of his guests! Now I understand why Casa dos Avos Apartments are almost never empty!

Rui is the best host ever . He is in constant touch with his guests and reacts quickly to any requests . I really enjoyed staying here .
