If you want to experience pure luxury and beautiful surroundings, this is for you! From the antique furniture and porcelain, to the massive tiled bathroom, the outdoor pool surrounded by flowering plants, the columned balcony with a view of vineyards, and the delicious breakfast, we had a magnificent time here. The only slight disappointment was the lunch, which was ordered in (but we did visit out of season, in October). There is plenty to see in Régua. We would certainly stay again.

Feels like home away from home! Very personal and accommodating with an amazing view. Perfect for a stop if you are exploring the region. The city itself does not have much to offer though. Free parking and tons of recommendations from the hosts took our stay to next level 👍🏼

A fantastic guesthouse with wonderful staff. For those who want to experience a stay at a quinta without being too far outside Régua, this is the perfect option. They have a pool for lounging around, a nice breakfast option, and comfortable rooms. We walked into town for meals, but they offer transfers if you want a ride. We will be back!

The Casa de Sao Domingos was a very classy, well run guesthouse in the town of Regua in the Duro Valley. Manual the owner was responsive in our corespondence and this is a family run operation with at least 2 generations of service. Private gated oasis just outside of the town. Restaurants are a short 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk. Rooms were well appointed, breakfast in dining room was abundant and cozy. Will prepare omelettes to order and staff is very attentive and helpful. Eat at Table Aneto Wine and restaurant. Won't be disappointed, but need a reservation. Small and great service, food and wine pairings. The River restaurant was kind of a mess both with service, reservation, and food was only average. Regua is a cool town, but removed from many of the attractions we were interested in, ie. wineries, tours etc. and needed to drive 30-40 minutes on the mountain roads (had a rental car) to get to any of our tours (vineyard tour with Duro Walks and Antonio is phenomenal, Olive Museum, boat tours). Met great people staying here who we enjoyed dining out with. All in all, other than location and access to rest of the valley, it was great. If you are afraid of heights and narrow roads, don't drive it yourself.

Above and beyond our expectations. Went with my entire family. The house is gorgeous, staff is welcoming and very nice, and the views are breathtaking. Location is great, a driving distance to anywhere in Durou, and few minutes away from restaurants. Highly recommended

We enjoyed very much this extraordinary guesthouse. Beautifully decorated with amazing collection of porcelain, crystal, furniture, silverware and rugs. The room was very comfortable, we loved the huge bathroom with all the necessary ameneties and big soft towels and the balcony with unforgetable views of the duoro river and the grape terraces. The breakfast was very good as well. I wish the pool was heated... the water was too cold.

We had an excellent stay at this beautiful and most unique place. Loved the room, the luxurious furnishings of the entire house and the service as well.
