AMAZING! The food, the drinks, the atmosphere. Ten out of ten. We had tapas and some of the best gin and tonic we've ever had. If you like gin, there is a large selection here. The broken egg dish, amazing! The mackeral tempura, amazing! The goat cheese salad, amazing!

Love this place! Great atmosphere, best cocktails (!!!) and we had great service. The fish tempura was a real winner! For us the broken egg dish is something for brunch but it is delicious.

After looking for couple of hours to find a restaurant we stumbled upon this lovely place! As soon as we entered the ambience, the music and the staff was just warm and amazing! We got a good recommendation for a lovely local wine which we really enjoyed. Food was super delicious, portions were great and we didn't wait at all for the service! Big thanks to the amazing staff that was working tonight!!! Very recommended 😸 Thanks Alex for looking after us and all the staff 💖

Beautiful decor. First place we walk into with cozy lighting and good music. Young and up to date. Food is delicious and has a completely different take on traditional dishes. Not too eccentric, just enough to make it flavorful and yet interesting. Definitely one of my new favorite restaurants. Better than some other restaurants on the same street.

Great bar, lovely local wines and amazing cheeses. Beautiful decor inside and lovely vibes. Deffo recommend the cheese platter and chicken sausage.

Excellent tapas place. Was pretty busy even though we came at early hours (around 6:15pm). We had meat (prosciutto), potatas bravado, and cheese plate and wine and it was both very good, big portions, and came with excellent service. It was plenty for a good sized meal for 4 and was delicious.

Relaxed atmosphere for drinks and food. Staff was very helpful in making suggestions. Outdoor seating area is great, heaters if there is a chill in the air. Open late for food. Try the steak sandwich and fish toast you won’t regret it.

One of our favorite places while visiting. They let you grab a drink while you wait for a table. Staff was really friendly and helpful with suggestions. The assortment of cheeses was delightful. Highly suggest the shrimp pasta. We talked about this place for days after we left!

A little on the higher price point for Portugal but great atmosphere and the servers were very friendly and prompt. We sat outside on a cooler night where they had outdoor heaters running, made it nice and cozy. House wine was a little pricey than other restaurants on the island but again moody atmosphere offering something a little different.

We were looking for a place to eat and get some drinks with a nice atmosphere. Ta Gente seemed to tick all the boxes. When we walked in, we really liked the setting! We started with some tapas, the chicken, the squid and the steak sandwich, recommended by our waiter. The squid was good, chicken had a balanced flavour with the fresh lettuce and then we shared the steak sandwich. We asked for it medium rare and they delivered. The meat was tender and juicy. The only thing missing was some salt, it would have brought the sweet and salty flavour to another level. Still good, nevertheless. The fries had good seasoning on them, too bad they were frozen. Let's move on to cocktails. I tried the ones with pineapple. The azores queen deserves its name. I really liked that one! Try the dried pineapple as well, it has an extremely rich flavour! We will be back!

We loved this place! A fun atmosphere, relaxed but attentive staff and a great menu. There isn't anything we tried that we didn't enjoy. Hands down our favorite place we dined in Sao Miguel

This is a good bar/restaurant. They stay open till late night. Very good for Tapas and drinks. It has a very friendly atmosphere (good for couples, with low lights). The staff was very friendly. The food was very tasty. Good prices. Seating outside is also a good option.

This place is EXCELLENT. We were staying in Ponta Delgada for a few days and then went to Furnas for the rest of the trip, but there's almost nothing there. So one day we literally just drove for 45min to eat here. Drinks are phenomenal, not an exaggeration. They are really good. If you have a chance, get the octopus dish and the pasta. You won't regret it. :)

Group of 6 went for dinner and sat outside. We had a reservation so didn't wait but everything else was a wait. Tapas style but very limited menu. The cheese and sausage board was the best. We ordered 2 bottles of wine and waited for that and water forever. They forgot my pesto pasta and a couple of sodas as well as my olives. Took of 2.5 euros at the end for it. We left a huge tip still but food was just not good. Service was very iffy compared to everywhere else we ate.
