Had an awesome experience at Magic Board Center. My boyfriend and I rented two surf boards and they even gave us a mounting rack for the roof of our car for free and Rick showed us how to mount our boards safely. For me it was the first time ever on a board and they gave me a lot of tipps and instructions, which were really useful. When we brought our boards back we were a few minutes late so that the shop would have been closed but after a short call they waited for us. Top service and really friendly people! We will definitely go there again on our next trip to Portugal.

My girlfriend and I had a brilliant experience with the Magic Board Centre. Ksenia was incredibly sweet. I texted some hours before arriving because I was anxious not to miss the opportunity to rent quality boards from them. Ksenia kept aside a mounting rack for our car (provided when you rent boards) in anticipation of our arrival, which was a blessing as it was the last one. She also provided some quality nuggets of information about the local area and beaches.This made a big difference. Rick was also kind and incredibly helpful in taking the time to demonstrate how to use their mounting racks effectively, which we both valued and appreciated! This shop is pure gold! We used the board repair and rental. Repair was super quick and affordable. The quality is amazing (see photos). Rental was easy and cheap. The owners are super friendly and really care about their customers. Fully reccomend.

THE BEST! Ksenia, works in the shop. She is the most kind and patient person I’ve met on my travels. I’ve never surfed before, and regardless of the long lines, she took time to explain to me each and every little thing I’d need in order to have a wonderful time. Marcus and Marcelle, the instructors were a perfect teaching pair. One stern and direct to tell me what I needed to know and one that jokes and encourages. They are an incredible shop. If you’re looking for a surf rental, are a beginner, or are nervous, magic board centre is the only place I recommend

Booked a 1-day course and we loved it! The 2,5 h lesson took place with only a few people, the instructors gave great and individual advise. We are two absolute beginners and went surfing for the first time, but could actually ride some waves.

Professional, very helpful and friendly service. Boards are high quality and well maintained. It’s the best value for money you’ll get in the area and much better than renting at the beach (in case you are a beginner). We got a roof rack and wax for our boards included with the board rent and the team helped us in a heart-warming way to install the roof rack to transport the boards safely. You can also switch boards once a day, if conditions change or you want to try something else. If you’re looking for lessons, board recommendations or surf spot advice, this is the spot in Lagos. The team knows the area inside out and will provide you with high quality and pleasant support, no matter what it is you need.

This surf shop is just amazing! The owners Ksenia and her husband are really friendly, dedicated and helpful people. We rented two SUPs there and they provided us additional waterproof bag to keep our staff dry. Also they have special trolley to transport your SUPs or boards, wich can be helpful If you don't have a car. In our case they gave us special pads which we mounted on the roof of our car to fix and transport SUPs (Ksenia's husband helped me to mount them). SUPs, safety jackets, paddles, waterproof bag were spotless clean. I saw how they wash them after we returned. This attention to details really impressed me! They also gave as additional 20 minutes to our 4 hours in order to have time to load and unload our staff. Overall the service is 5+ and I definitely recommend it to everybody especially if you don't have a car (it is 15 mins walking from the beach) or for those who don't have special trunk on the car roof.

We rented some boards and suits for a month from here based on a recommendation. It was the best service experience I've had. Rick and his wife really put passion in what they are doing. They take the time to explain to you anything from how to read the ocean, to the best surf spots, to surf boards engineering and physics and many other tips and bits of advice. The rental was extremely fair and flexible. Will definitely use their help and services when I'm back in Algarve and will continue recommending them to friends and family!

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly! Equipment in a really good condition, we got a lot of good recommendations for surfing spots for beginners. We’ve checked few surfing rentals before in Lagos and only here we got such a professional instructions and tips. If I will come back to Lagos for sure I will choose Magic Board again :)

I rented a soft top for about a week. The board was in excellent shape and the price more than fair. The owners were super friendly and helpful not only with finding the right board but also suggesting local surf spots and explaining their ins and outs. Can totally recommend, top notch small business.

An amazing place to get a lesson or rent a board! The whole team at The Magic Board Center are great, you won't meet friendlier or more passion people in Lagos! I've had a few lessons in the past and this was by far the best and it really helps having instructor who love their job and want to help you. Depending on your level they break everyone into groups to make sure you get the most from you lesson. On the second day we just rented boards and the whole processes was quick and easy. All their boards are in great condition and well looked after. They'll also advise you on the best spots to surf on the day.

Best surf shop in town. Very kind onwer who took all the time to give the best advice on what board to take, when and where to surf and how to improve your surfing. Good prices and good quality boards. Will be coming back here for sure.

Really pleasant people... took the time to match what i ride back home with the local breaks and then suggest a board to suit. Absolutely nailed the selection. Pragmatic rental scheme (you break it you buy it, repair shop prices for other damage) softracks included in the price. ID as a deposit (only you can decide whether you're comfy with that). overall would highly rate and will definitely use again. Recommended.
