This wine tour couldn’t have started off much worse. When heading east towards the spectacular Quinta do Seixo, we missed the entrance and let Google Maps take us on a backcountry adventure through the super steep terraced vineyards surrounding this Quinta. My wife was terrified but we persisted and made it! AND it was so worth it! Once we arrived our nerves were on edge but after explaining our misadventure to Fabio Silva who greeted us inside and asked “how could we do better?” We began to relax and enjoy. Another sign is needed. The scenery at this mountain-top wonderland is breathtaking and the winery is 5 star in every way. Fabio ended up being our tour guide throughout the cellar and tasting experience and he is fantastic. Having been on a couple dozen wine tours over the years I would rank his sense of humour, command of multiple languages and wine knowledge to be unmatched. We thoroughly enjoyed the 12 EU two wine tour/ tasting. Fabio’s passion for wine and attention to detail was impressive as well. He even remembered the wines we liked and sat us with folks with Thunder Bay, Ontario. I can’t say enough good things about Quinta do Seixo and the wonderful staff.

Really good estate, good port wines, nice buildings and design, amazing view from the top of the hill where they’re located. Really wine tour and tasting. Our guide in English was really good and nice!

Fantastic tour and compared to other quintas very insightful and extensive. With great port obviously. Special thanks to Manuela, who is an awesome guide and knowledgeable!

The pictures of the view do not do a justice, truthfully. One of the best tastings and tours I have ever done. Getting there is a little scary by car as it is on top of a large hill with winding roads. But it is totally worth it. Rachel our guide was great and the port wine was fantastic too. The best part though is the views. I mean come on. The view alone is worth the trek.

We had a vineyard tour with Manuela as a guide. She was one of the best guides we ever had, explaining everything in details about vine and wine production and answering any questions. The tour itself consists of a walk through the steep vineyard, the workshop and ends with small tasting. There are incredible views of the surrounding river slopes with vineyards. Highly recommended.

We did the Vineyard Tour and it was absolutely fantastic. We were a small group of only 4 people as we went there at 10:30 in the morning. Our guide was great. He told us all about how the vine grapes are grown, while we strolled across the vineyard (incl. one tasting in the middle of the vineyard). Afterwards we got a tour of the building and how the grapes are processed. This was finished by another two ports to try. Thanks a lot for the great experience 👍

Exceptional service, food and cleanliness. The best presentation of gazpacho that we have had in many years... Gazpacho with Salmon sushimi

We booked in advance online which I highly recommend as places are quite limited. Definitely the most beautiful of all the vineyards, the building is modern and the design is on point but the views are even more incredible. One thing to note though is that this is the most commercialized of the Quintas we visited. Not very personal or intimate. The port is very good. Worth a visit!

Stunning estate with breathtaking views of the Douro from high on the hillside. The drive up is an experience in itself. The tour was a little 'artificial'. It's a modern building with some exhibits with an informative guide, but you didn't feel the history of the Quinta. That said, the tasting room and the views made up for this. Would recommend this for the views, but complimenting with another more traditional Quinta tour.

The location is wonderful with an amazing view of the Douro valley, nonetheless I wouldn’t recommend the guided tour as it was a very quick explanation in the very modern cave; no visit whatsoever of any of the historical parts of the Quinta, the tour itself took less than 30 minutes which I find really expensive for 18€. The Port wines were of course good, but again, brief explanations. We also got yelled at by another guide for speaking while she was explaining to another group 3 tables away. Our tour was in French, was it maybe the language barrier that didn’t allow our guide to explain much? Maybe the english tour is more interesting.

One of the biggest wine exporters of the region. Very touristic organisation and fabolous options to spontanously have a guided tour or just a simple wine/port tasting.

Great property with winding road through the vineyard as an entrance. Beautiful tasting room overlooking the Douro River and Douro Valley and numerous vineyards.

Went to a port wine tasting. The view from the windows is gorgeous. Nice to drink and eat. I recommend wine tasting from the age of twenty. Anything below is a strong smell of alcohol.

Good winery. I got a little bit disappointed with the choice of testing as there was only 4 different types of port wine tasting and not a single word about regular wine that actually exists, I found out about it later.

Very average, not a good tasting, the guide was nice and knowledgeable, but in the tasting room the girl was very rude, bored and didn’t even answer any questions, just walked away and played on her phone before disappearing. Very disappointing. Stick with the smaller less corporate more personalized vineyards.

Beautiful setting with lovely views of the river. We just wanted to go to the wine shop but they were at full capacity so we weren't allowed access. Make sure to book before your visit.
