Restaurant Thai restaurant

😐 Situated at the heart of Bairro alto, this Thai restaurant is quite fancy and pricey. The staff were really warm and friendly. I ordered a Thai beer which was surprisingly very good. For dinner, I ordered Pad-kee-mao (N0.32) which is rice noodle in spicy sauce with seafood and vegetables. Honestly I... Situated at the heart of Bairro alto, this Thai restaurant is quite fancy and pricey. The staff were really warm and friendly. I ordered a Thai beer which was surprisingly very good. For dinner, I ordered Pad-kee-mao (N0.32) which is rice noodle in spicy sauce with seafood and vegetables. Honestly I was a bit disappointed. The food was way too spicy, a bit salty and the noodles were hard to chew. It's worthy to note that if you're not good with 'picante", don't go for this option. My friend ordered Nea-pad-nam-man-hoy (N0. 24) beef stir fried with mushrooms, pepper and spring onions. For the side, vegetable fried rice which was really good. So to sum it up, it was not exactly worth the price plus they don't accept cards so if you decide to go there, make sure you have cash on you.

This is simply the best Thai restaurant in Lisbon. Very very good portions, fair prices, good location in the middle of Bairro Alto. The food is authentic and delicious. They can also make it spicy (Thai spicy and not European spicy) if you ask. And I love spicy food. The pad Thai is one of the best I ever had. I also recommend the Thai red curry. I never get tired of going to this place. Very friendly service. They increased the prices a little but they serve a quality and authenticity that is not so easy to find in Lisbon. They now accept cards.

I used to live in New York and even for that, I would. consider it quite pricy. 24€ for fried rice with some chicken and soy sauce is absolutely insane. Now I live in Bairro Alto and I can recommend anyone to go to other places, which are far cheaper of offer better ambiente and more value for money. The food itself was quite good, no doubt (7/10). But looking at the overall value received, I definitely think this is a bad deal. for Lisbon.

As a previous poster said, pretty sure they sent to half portions. There was maybe 5 shrimps and it was just a soup, no rice. Wife ordered pad Thai, which had almost 0 flavour, most the flavour came from the lime. Terrible portion sizes, terrible food taste. Spent almost $40 Euro. This place is a tourist trap and they probably purchased reviews. Never would order again.

Cash only, we missed the sign on the open door. Had cash but just FYI. Good food and friendly service. Curry was oddly salty but good portions. Could have had more veggies in the stir fry.

The food was super tasty, there are also plenty vegetarian options. The service was fast and the guy very polite. I paid by card with no problem (I say this because there are reviews that say that you can pay only cash, but it's not true anymore). I recommend it! Also I recommend the Tai beer!

If you are looking for delicious, authentic Pad Thai, this is the place. I ordered the Pad Thai (shrimp) and it was delicious and a fair portion for the price given the location. The noodles were also a perfect texture. The server was very kind and the food came out quickly. Please note, this place is a humble and cozy restaurant, if you are looking for a trendier “bar” type place, this may not be for you. Also please note that they do accept credit card payments even though Google says cash only.

This shrimp starter was amazing!! And the pad thai also was so good. I think that’s the best and most typical thai restaurant in Lisbon.

A good place for Thai food! A bit expansive for Lisbon but still a good option. Service really friendly and helpful. The only bad thing is the lack of space in the place, super narrow and squish.

I was raised in Thailand so I know what authentic Thai food tastes like. I ordered the kao pad krapao gai (stir fried chicken with basil). It tasted very good and just slightly off flavor (would have preferred it to be a little less oily). Usually this comes as minced meat but they had chicken breast cuts. This cost €16 which, I would say, could have been a little cheaper. All in all, a really nice dish and friendly waiter. The only thing is the location - you get wisps of air that smelled like waste water so the location is not at a very pleasant part of town. Definitely a good option for deliveries/take-outs.

A lovely experience, with a delicious spicy Tom Yam shrimp and a Massaman chicken, that reminded us of Thailand. The service was friendly, fast and with a smile.

If you are travelling and need an Asian craving hit, then I would recommend coming here. The food is pretty darn good. I asked for an extra super spicy pad Thai and they delivered. I ate the whole thing. My girls nod in agreement that it was satisfying. Asian approved.

They take cards here now! Pad Thai is always hit or miss but I took a chance and got bland, oily gop. I asked for them to spice it up which they forgot. Chilis added after never work. Almost colourless, this dish looked nothing like the photos in reviews that sent me there. All oil no sauce!! Redeemed themselves with the chicken satay. Peanut sauce had some kick and served with a salad. Stick with curries would be my guidance. Service was very good. Sweet guy!!

Really delicious food, we've had vegan dishes - peanut curry, red vegetable curry and Tom Yam soup, all with sticky rice. Simply fantastic and very friendly service as well!

Pad thai was good - 8 medium sized shrimps in it and some good peanut sauce. The owners/chefs are thai so the food is really authentic.
