👍 Nice atmosphere enhanced by live music that definitely elevates the experience. The drinks are fairly standard, and while the staff could be more welcoming, the overall vibe makes it worth a visit. It's not a showstopper, but the live music makes it a pleasant spot to spend some time. Worth checking... So here is a story for anyone planning on coming here ever. We were having drinks at this bar that, to be honest, looked cool. They were ALL out of beer so we ordered cocktails. We were sitting there for quite some time and literally could not drink one sip because of how bad they were. We made a minor complaint, and then proceeded to order a 7up which tasted absolutely horrible. Like it was rotten. We took in the bill and asked if the “bartender” could take anything off of it (given our 4 untouched drinks + one 7up at our table). He refused and we asked to talk to someone in charge. He then proceeded to go outside to make a phone call and when we asked about it he said: “the police are on the way” (???). We were really confused as to why he decided to call the police on us, so we decided to pay the full amount and leave. As we left, the “bartender” stormed outside, pointed a finger at our faces and screamed “fucking bitches” at us and that we were disrespecting him. He then proceeded to throw a full water bottle at us as he closed the door. Quite poor service, to say the least.

Great place for dinner and drinks! Amazing vintage decorations, live music and good traditional food

WARNING! Read the other reviews! Do _not_ go to this place for food! The food is absolutely terrible. We went here to have a drink and a quick bite. And then we ordered 4 different dishes, and literally all of them very absolutely horrendous. Unfortunately I can't describe the taste of the food as it's not allowed to use swear words in Google reviews. Beside of the food this place is actually quite good. The service was really friendly, and the atmosphere is also really great. They play some live music and drinks are cool. If the owner would just swap the kitchen staff and/or their supplier for any random other people/supplier...this place might even become a really nice restaurant. Right now the food is just so terrible that it makes the whole experience really bad. // Edit We just spend 15min on the toilet after this amazing dinner. Definitely an unforgettable experience.

When travelling in Porto, we walked in not knowing anything about this place, just looking for a quick espresso before continuing sight seeing. The waitress didn't speak english, so we tried asking her for 2 espresso and she pointed us to sit at the table. In 5 mins we got a full breakfast with an espresso, which was a bit of a shock for us. However once we tried lovely buns and jam, it ended up being a very nice surprise! We were worried about the price, but we only paid €4.40 for two! So definitely a great value for money, interesting interior and delicious breakfast :)

Good drinks, nice place to talk with very interesting collection, but we weren't informed that we need to pay extra for live music! It really annoyed me

This was a big mistake. Dirty, smelly and the waiter asked us to pay rudelessly right after getting our drinks. Plus he didn’t calculate price properly🤦‍♀️Looks nicer from the outside and curious inside due to the many old/vintage (but VERY dirty) objects exposed. Do not recommend.

Horrible bartender who certainly could work on his personable skills He told us only after we’d finished our drinks we could only pay by cash, the cash machine outside was broken - while my friend was told to stay by herself in the bar as only one of us could leave, I had to go into another bar to ask for help and was directed to a cash point that charged me £4 to take out €20!! Cocktails not that nice to even be worth that!!

What a shame! The place is so charming … but service in really bad, the smell of the really dirty bathrooms in the underground floor leaks till the ground floor, they just take cash don’t let you pay with card, and we wait 15” for a glass of wine, and the place really needs a cleanse, my recommendation: just go in take a look into the place and go to any other one for your wine.

Interesting, sure. Original, sure. But also pretty creepy place. The restaurant exposes hundreds of old objects, anything from dolls to cars. Judging of the 2 cm of dust visible on each of them, the last cleaning took place 20 years ago. Unfriendly waiters that just remove the customers from their tables without warning when the dancing part starts... not that anyone was dancing. Almost half of the drinks exist only in the printed menu. Otherwise, a decent quality show and normal prices for the area.

Came just for some drinks one evening. Very interesting atmosphere and decor, but nothing special in terms of drinks. Pretty basic stuff, and very sweet with not a lot of alcohol. Maybe it would have been more fun had there been more than a handful of people there. It's fine to stop in for one drink on a bar crawl and look at the cool antiques, but not sure I'd stay for much more.

I had a really informative and fun introduction to Fado here. Both the singers and the instrumentalists sounded amazing, and it was a very sincere and friendly atmosphere. The complementary port wine also tasted really good. The interior decoration of the bar is very interesting as well and it is located on a street with a lot of other nice bars and cafes.

Honestly, I have to give this place a one-star review, not because the restaurant or bar itself was terrible, but due to a recent experience. Last night at 11 P.M., everything was going great until a rock/pop band was about to perform. To our surprise, we were asked to vacate our seats because the band needed our table for their equipment. Unfortunately, there were no other available tables for us to enjoy the show. What's more, the staff member on duty at the time didn't seem willing to accommodate us by setting up empty chairs at another table. It's bewildering that we, as paying customers, were essentially evicted from the establishment to make room for non-paying "guests." Whether the staff member was affiliated with the band or the bar, it's a situation that should never occur.

Disgusting. The waiter told it was cash only, then tried to con us out of our change of €15 then told us the price was different to the prices on the menu. Make sure you check if you go here as they lied and tried to pocket the money for themselves instead of going to the business. It was a tall black male and a black haired lady who tried to do it to us. What a shame , how sad. :/

Show and service was good! Food, underseasoned. And bland. I'm sorry to say. Was excited to visit this place. Though would be better.

the food was very bad, the soup was super intense with aromatic herbs and chili sauce - just didn't feel right for a soup because it tasted like a sauce, not soup. the meat and fish were tasteless, but the salad full with vinagre... the price is average so it didn't feel so terrible to pay for that, but still super disappointing

One of the worst bars that I've ever been! They started by not having half the things on the menu, both drinks and food. We asked for a red sangria (as they didn't have the white -how?-) and it was way too expensive for its quality. Then the waiter came and just threw the bill on the table -without it being requested or any kind of explanation- and to top it all off, they only had cash payments. Fact that we were not advised upon sitting. Enough said that this was just a terrible experience. Do not recommend it at all! With the amount of lovely bars in Galerias, ending up in this one was just extremely frustrating!

Cosy place. Quite busy. Good and cheap buffet if you are traveling on a budget. Stopped here just for a quick drink after we saw the car on the wall and the nice decor and ended up eating and spending quality time.

A great in-depth introduction to fado, with information about the instruments, history and different styles of fado. Very entertaining and informative. Really looking forward to seeing a fado performance again in the future as a result of this experience!

The bar/restaurant is decorated with a collection of all kinds of antiques and memory pieces. So much that it could be an entertainment for hours. The place is home to some culture activities like Fado listening, and classes of Folk traditional dances of the world. I went for the dances that are hosted by the energetic Rute Mar, with the help of a couple of experienced dancers, that clearly show joy in showing to anyone with legs how to dance "pas d'étēs" and other group or pair dances in a relaxed environment in that everyone is helping each other and laughing of their own mistakes while they learn. It is relaxing, very social and a great exercise.

Very confused by this bar. The drinks were extremely lacklustre and the staff all seemed bored. The place was silent and when I asked about music one of the bar tenders just pointed at a piano nearby. We ordered our drinks and immediately after they brought us the bill, we took the hint and left right away.

Lively street with bars, music, young crowd. Very busy, great fora drink outdoors especially um the warm evenings. Mind the smelly fruits that dark from the ginkgo trees in the autumn, they smell like vomit and poo, so careful before judging people around you

Great Venue South American feel with Salsa & Brazilian dance nights when we visited , dancing poured into the street on one of our visits, great atmosphere. Liked the small 20cl beer bottles 1 euro.

The service was a bit lousy, but the wine and the dishes saved the night. We liked the atmosphere in general, yet in the beginning turned out you could not order food while seated at the "perifery" tables - those are only to order drinks... Strange, isn't it?

To be fair, the one star isn’t because the restaurant/bar in itself was bad. We were having a great time until another service took place (at 11P.M. tonight) and a rock/pop band was about to play. We were asked to leave our seats because apparently the band was about to use the table for they partition. There was no other table left for us to see the show, and that’s when we saw that we actually had to leave the table for the girlfriends of the members of the band to seat there. Not only that, but the guy that worked at this time didn’t even want to put unused chairs at an empty table for us to seat. I find that absurd that we, as clients, were quite literally kicked out of the bar to seat non-consuming “clients”. I don’t know if the guy was working for the band or the bar but it shouldn’t happen either way.

Avoid at ALL!!!! cost. We went there to just have a drink and enjoy the café, but ended up with having to listen to an insecure server for most of the time and dealing with an aggressive bartender. The Mojito didn't have anything to do with a mojito. They ask two times for us to move table, and disturbe our conversation we had between ourselves. But than the worst guy still had to pass. Coming from my back, over my head a rude bartender throws the bill on table expecting us to pay directly, mind you, we where still busy with our drinks. Looks that we where in a change of shift (as that is an excuse for extreme rudeness). After asking for answer on his rude behavior, got shouted at even more by the bartender. (Neighboring tourist had a simular experience.) I'm a tourist guide in Porto, and used to send people here. I'll now warn people of!!! Avoid at ALL!!!! cost.
