Had a wonderful time on our trip up to Silves. Nothing was too much hassle. We had a great trip up and down the river. Our hosts were very knowledgeable and gave us loads of local info as well as wine, snacks and the opportunity to swim in the river! Silves itself was wonderful. We had plenty of time to explore. 10/10. Plus the whole trip was eco! Thanks! 😊😊😊

We chartered the sun boat privately for a birthday. Riccardo was very helpful and creative in setting up a really nice menu. He provided snorkelling sets for 12 people and we even could bring our stand-up paddle. The service was excellent and enjoyed our trip on the sustainable (solar) boat. Thank you very much. Best boat in the Algarve. Quiet, calm, pollution and exhaust free. Good service and very pleasant staff! Really experienced and skillful boat captain. Book if you are not into noisy speedboats (like all the other tours provide) and if you want absolute comfort and class.

The sunboat tour is a lovely, relaxed experience. The river side is green and Silves is a lovely city. Ricardo knows a lot about the area & history and will answers all your questions. Wonderful experience from Praia da Rocha to Silves, up river Arade , with Ricardo on the wheels, best local tour guide arround, very knowledgeable, funny and kind. Couldn’t recomend more. This is the best boat tour you can get. Not only is it eco friendly but also the boat is super spacious. It takes a bit longer but that's an advantage because you have all the time you need to explore the coast line. The crew is super friendly and explains everything.

Super friendly people. Everything was just like they advertised. Went to see a lot of caves, got an explanation about the caves. Was super chill sailing with the catamaran on sunpower. If you can't wich boattour to take. This is it!

We did a private hire (11 person boat) to take us up to the Arvad winery for tasting and lunch, rather than all the way to Silves. It was a spectacular day from start to finish and enjoyed by all members of the family from my parents to my young neice & nephew (3&5). Excellent communication from Ricardo beforehand to confirm the details and a friendly warm welcome when we joined his boat. Having grown up in the area he has interesting historical info to share as we made our way up the river. Whilst Silves is a lovely city to wander around and enjoy lunch which we did by road, I would highly recommend a visit to the winery by boat so you can fully enjoy the wine without having to drive. Due to weather conditions didn’t have time to join the Benagil caves trip but would be top of my list next time. I would highly recommend Sunboats - their environmental credentials also extend to the companies they partner with eg Arvad use an electric buggy to collect you from the jetty. Plus Ricardo is a thoroughly nice guy!

Our trip to Silves was a great experience today. Ricardo is very likable and not only the good captain or good guide, he's the host. The solar boat is very silent, so you can enjoy the nature around you. It's very relaxing. At the end I can really recommend this tour 🙂

Very nice boat trip to Silves along the Arade river. Time to spend in the old town of Silves. Thanks to the guide who did everything to make us feel at home. We had some rain on the way back, but all the nice views, story's and birds were absolutely amazing.
