Gota Dagua: You gotta come here! It is an amazing place to begin your surfing journey and start enjoying the waves🌊🏄‍♂️🏄‍♀️🏄 Why Gota Dagua? It is Convenient: The booth is just right by the beach at Costa de Caparica. It is as close to the beach as it can be. Right in front of the stairs that leads to the beach. Great coaching: The staffs are all very nice and friendly. They motivate you to improve and really want you to get better at surfing. Costa de Caprica is nice!! After your lesson, you can chill at the beach or go to coffee shops nearby to get a healthy Acai bowl or a cup of cafe latte 😌 And If it’s sunday, you can check out the sunday market too.(sunday tends to be a bit crowded though 😅) Just come! You will have fun! They also have discount for eramus or if you buy a package. I brought the 10 classes package and is coming everyday 😄

I never leave online reviews but due to our amazing experience with Gota Dagua Surf School I had to make an exception. We are so happy we signed up our children (8 and 9) with these guys for a private (2 kids, one instructor) lesson. They were sincerely welcoming and encouraging and put me, a mom who has never surfed, completely at ease. They never spoke down to our children and were always positive. We ended up doing 3 lessons over the course of 4 days we were so happy. The kids had a blast and never once did I think they were not safe. My kids had Alan and he was their greatest fan and now we are his greatest fans. Alan always encouraged, never discouraged and pushed them a little more each lesson and celebrated their “wins” and “losses”. What a positive , wholesome experience. I couldn’t recommend this surf school more highly and we will be back!

It was an amazing experience! Natalia helped us get ready and was super kind and helpful. Pedro was our instructor and he was awesome! The instruction was thorough and when we went to catch some waves Pedro helped us a lot! Thank you so much! If I’m ever back in Lisbon I will come back to Gota Dagua!

I certainly liked my experience at this place. I was an absolute beginner when I took my first private lesson with the surf instructor Eder Garcia and already during the first lesson I was able to catch some waves. Later I significantly improved my skill, and each session I was getting better. The staff is very friendly, everyone knows English, including the instructors. The equipment seems to be in a good shape.

My experience at Gota dagua was nothing short of amazing! The instructors were top-notch, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to teach us proper techniques and share their passion for surfing. The camp had a fantastic atmosphere, with a tight-knit community of fellow surfers who quickly became friends. We cheered each other on, shared laughs, and celebrated every wave caught. The positive energy was infectious!

Most amazing experience. Had the best teacher. I can't swim but I managed to get up on the board loads of times and conquered my fears thanks to the incredible teacher. One of my best experiences. 10/10 would recommend and do it again. Loved every second of it.

Look no further, this is without a doubt the best surf school you can find in the area!!! The vibe and atmosphere is very inviting, laid back and friendly. The location is amazing, right in front of Tarquinio beach. The surf lessons are very well structured. The instructors are really passionate, kind and helpful. They will provide individual feedback making sure you’ll progress and also have lots of fun! For the rentals they have a variety of different boards, softtops and hardtops and the material are in good condition! They provide different types of flexible packages to suit everybody. Another great thing is that they offer discounts for Erasmus students and residents. And last but not least, the staff working in the surf school is absolutely awesome + the music is on point!!

Came here from Montreal. First time Surfing in my life and was such an incredible experience that I booked two more days. The surf instructors are amazing and gave you constants tips and attention in the group class. A very friendly welcome and chill atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back tomorrow !

Highly recommended! We were here as a group of 5 people and did our first surfing lessons. The teachers were all super friendly and taught us a lot. We all could see great progress after our five lessons. We had a lot of fun, a great time and will definitely come back! 🤙

What an amazing experience! I’ve just had my first surf class ever this noon - it was a right choice to come to this school. The staff overall is very professional and warm-hearted, the instructor Pedro is super competent, engaged and supportive - can only recommend him, especially for beginners! I have a fear of the ocean because of one past event, after having shared this with Pedro, he took greater care that my first surfing experience will be safe, exciting and motivating to go on😊 The school also has great equipment and very reasonable prices. Group lesson was perfect, optimal number of people to be able to learn. Can’t wait for my 2nd class tomorrow! Thanks for the wonderful experience and keep going like that!

Today I had another amazing lesson with Gota Dagua! Even though I was the only one for the group lesson, still instructor Pedro led the whole lesson for me. Today and previously I had really great experience. The team of professional instructors are friendly and always there to guide you so you can improve. Awesome crew, great atmosphere, beautiful beach, you don't need anything else to start your journey with surfing! Yet they also have a super cute dog that accompanies you during the warm up!

Amazing Surf School in Lisbon!! Great instructors, material in great condition, and very well organized! Also really good for big group classes! I am from Lisbon, and I strongly recommend this school. It stands out in comparison to any other one in the area!

Great surf school with just the right amount of guidance for intermediates like myself. I dont crave a lot of attention so I get to do my thing and get feedback whenever the instructor sees something I can improve on, that way the guidance can be more focused on the beginners. The vibe itself among the instructors and students is awesome as well and very welcoming. Definitely recommend anyone coming here to try out a class or more!

This is a great group of friendly and talented surfers. Every time I visit I get the same instructor, which is great for continuity and building my confidence. The school is right on the beach, part of the Tarquinio Beach-Bar building which has an ATM and toilets you can use (and great food btw). Its like 10 euros in a cab from the city to Caparica, so any time your in Lisbon you should consider heading down here for a lesson.

I can't recommend Gota d'Água enough! If you are looking for a place where you feel welcomed from the moment you come in, until the moment you leave this is definitely the place! Not only will your surfing improve with all the classes but they also have the best location and activities every day. That combined with their amazing staff is the recipe for an amazing time!

The best surf school I’ve ever been to. The teachers are extremely helpful and patient they are always there to help. I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants surf lessons, even if you are a total beginner you will learn.

What an amazing experience! They have the right balance between: surfing, chill time and parties! The workers and volunteers are so welcoming, nice and entertaining. They are always creating new activities for us to do, which include everyone. Luis cooks the best meals so you are never hungry! They are just a surfer vibe bunch of people!!

I loved the Gota Dagua Surf Camp. The surf instructors are really good. The housing is lovely, if you want you can stay in another house close to the main house, so more quiet in the evenings. Organized activities are fun. A lot of freedom because you can use a bike from the camp. And I was able to get vegan breakfast and diner, that made me very happy :)

My fiance and I had a blast learning to surf! We were just planning to go to the beach to enjoy the day. He saw Gota Dagua and decided on a whim to sign us up. We were totally unprepared and have never tried surfing before in our 30+ years of life. I am terrified of the ocean waves, and I didn't expect to be able to actually stand up on the board at all. Miraculously, during our 90 minute lesson, I rode at least 3 (baby) waves all the way to shore. I could not believe it. Rome and Buddha were the best instructors! Everyone from the school was so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend stepping outside your comfort zone and giving it a go.

Started surfing here and I'm super happy! Awesome atmosphere and beach, great and professional instructors, perfect gear... I learned a lot while having loads of fun (for reasonable prices, super discount for students with ESN card). Can't wish for more :)
