A Place For Families and Kids With Alot of Things to See and Experience, I would Recommend Visiting it For A Peaceful Time and Fun Cherishing The Old Concepts we Studied in our school days! The 3D Show which lasted for 5 mins was old. Place is Maintained and has Restrooms, still Some Blocks are under Renovation as of 6-Feb-2022.

It's a huge place and a person needs at least 3 hours to completely visit all the galleries available here. Overall maintenance can be very much improved as some of the exhibits in some galleries aren't working. India in space gallery, nuclear related galleries were too good. Fun with mirrors gallery is a must visit. The 3D show is a great attraction for kids.

A perfect way to teach students visually about a lot of topics. Also, planetarium is a best place to learn all, that is needed, about planets in schooling

.....The Planetarium is considered in the modern world as an Indoor - Universe.. ... The Planetarium has provisions to execute diurnal, annual, latitudinal and precessional motions. ..The special effect projectors inside the Planetarium recreate some of the most awe-inspiring astronomical phenomena on the specially perforated aluminium inner dome. ......To Make the visitors to understand the science of stereo vision and to explain the polarization of light and the action of Polaroid glasses, a 3D Science theatre was there. .Science Park with interactive exhibits is a novel concept which provides a gateway to learn the basic principles of Science and Technology in a healthy, open-air and natural environment.

It is a nice place to go with kids but you may to check for the show. Many times the show will be full. They Charge ₹20 for parking and ₹40 as entrance fee for the park. Though they charge ₹40 for the park it is not at all maintained. There is no proper facility for food and drinks. Earlier this place was great but now the management is not taking care of it. Just have a look at the attached pictures. Requesting management to take good care of this place!

This place ideally supposed to be a eyeopener for kids, students to get an idea toward science. not sure if there is something else like this around. Conceptual increase students' appetite in science. Maintenance is poor and to maintain such thing it is not easy only few tickets issuance will help as kids will spoil . we need more volunteers to step up and explain and gov should start thinking but nevertheless all are kept at best worst maintenance as they dont have staff or funds or ? . Kids will like if you wish to watch shows be on time be little early. there is one counter and you will end up spending time on counter if queue is long not sure is that not thought through some basics are miss. Toilet s are pathetic no proper drinking water . you can buy . not many dust bins . lit of negative in aesthetics other than new renovated nuclear and one more . Plan to visit and spend time. there are take aways for kids to understand but all will not work

Such a shame to see a huge potential being wasted. Quite outdated infographics. Very little information. No unique attraction or novelty exhibited here. Lot of exhibits are out of order. Almost seems like a Halloween theme park. Could not find a single positive thing to say about this place. Sorry! Hope this place is brought back to its original glory!

Excellent place for study tour and many scientific findings are kept here. Like space equipments, vechiles mechanism, aquarium ( presently no fish), Newton Law, different mirrors, science park, Planetarium are in the same campus. Presently renovation is going on, many school children come here for study tour. # maintenance is needed # limited accessibility # equipment needed service, damaged or not working properly

Complete disaster Not at all being maintained by Govt. Suffocation and no ventilation throughout the building, one has to carry fan while visiting this place. Smelly all around. Hundreds of people visit this place still it is being neglected, Govt talk about going to mars & moon, but an education place is faded. Better bring your own food as it would take more than 3 hours as per interest of person and canteen has got only snacks, ice cream and soft drinks. UPI scan payment at entrance is started.

We went for an Industrial visit from our college. It was an good experience to know all about old instruments and working process of them. And good to see different type of rocket and jet models there. There's been a 3D show about earth and some science it is in Tamil language. It could have been in English so that everyone can understand. And there is a play area children can enjoy.

Sad state of affairs at the moment. By seeing all the things available at the moment, I can only imagine it's past glory. Looks like there is hardly any maintenance at all. With so many interesting experiments and working models lying in ruins, it would take a genuine effort to build them back.

During school holiday leave, there is usually a larger crowd at the two ticket counters, and the drinking water and canteen facilities are poor. Many equipment pieces are not well-maintained, despite it being labeled as a science and technology park. The project should be properly maintained. The fun mirror, however, remains interesting.

This place is one of must visit for tourist destinations in Tamil nadu. This place is intended with B.M. Birla Planetarium, Evolution park , Science city and child playing park. There's a ticket counter which runs by government so, the cost of the ticket is reasonable and many excited deals for 3 D movie. B.M.Birla Planetarium have full view 360 degrees of Night sky observation and Astronomy space shows in different languages like English, Tamil and hindi etc. This shows contains many elements that children and adults can easily learn about the space but also gives you the feel of space with beautiful views and feels like you are in the space for flying in the sky. Parents and schools should bring their children here to get knowledge on how Rocket science works and how Planetarium is made and what features of the universe but also great useful for Medical science and Engineering technology. This place has technology-related play park for children where they can play and learn at the same time. They have shops inside which are little expensive so carry your own water bottle while entering the gate. It takes 1-2 hours hours to see every thing and extra 20 to 40 minutes for movie shows. Public transport like bus, Parking, waiting hall , outside sitting benchs or lobby ,public toilets and wheelchair facilities are available. I have enjoyed and learned some new things by visiting this place so, I think my experience is helpful for you to visit here. Thank you google maps for helping

Birla planetarium (Chennai) is a National shame. To all honesty, one of the worst maintained planetariums ever. Scientific equipments are completely rusted and rotten. The only good thing about this place being the 360° cinema theatre. Government should either close down this facility or completely privatize its operations. I strongly don't recommend this place for any visitor/ tourists at this stage.
