One of the best muesems in Hyderabad to visit for kids if your planning to take them.. It had a museum, art gallery and planterioum as well.. The dinosaur room is quite famous here where you get to see the bones of a real one, also the art gallery has beautiful artifacts of the olden age era. Kids also learn about astronomy as they have beautiful displayed the history about rockets and spaceships , there are certain rooms models based on dwaraka city and Antarctica. There are several shows each hour in different languages where they play a 45 mins video which talks about the universe and it's formation.. You will love watching it. Do visit if your planning for your kids.. It's not crowded as well as its very well maintained and clean

Hello guys. Its one of the best place to visit with ur family and childrens. Lots of funny science things. And the planetarium ride of space is one of the main attraction of this place, per head 250 for museum + planetarium. If u are visiting only for space ride and if u want to hear that ride in Hindi then u have to go there at 7pm the show will start at 7:30 only one show in Hindi. Other shows are available in Telugu and English.

Very nice place, all should visit the museum and planetarium. There are three or four floors. One floor is about the ancient people with their weapons, vessels, swords, ancient locks etc., The other floor is about science. This floor is awesome. The other floor is of dinosaurs skeleton and elephant trunk etc., the other side about rockets

I visited here for a Life in Space Workshop by IARC (INDIAN ASTROBIOLOGY RESEARCH CENTER). The Workshop was very detailed and insightful, I totally enjoyed the learning and I'm also curious about exploring more🌌 and our chances of living in other planets. There are other activities you can do here rather than just attending a seminar, like you can visit The Science Museum which I believe there is only one of a kind in Hyderabad very well maintained and great place for children to make their learnings enjoyable & interesting as there are various learning activities and exhibitory for all age groups. It also comprises a Planetarium🌍, Art gallery👩‍🎨 as well as a dinosaurium🦕🦖. Lastly a beautiful garden all around 🏞️.

A very good place to take your kids and let them learn and explore the science concepts by doing. Great to see the smiling and fascinated faces of kids looking at various experiences and learning by doing. Suggest to let kids read the stuffs before trying it, that would lead them to understand and solidify the concepts to some extent. The place can be maintained in a better way and the experiments and models need to be overhauled.

The place was great! Except, I think the planetarium information needs to be updated, as I felt it was still vintage information with 480p or max 720p quality footage. After the age of 4k began, this was a lil hard to watch after the first 10 minutes. But the experience felt surreal, honestly. Also, the front of the science museum looks serene and green and feels therapeutic to be there. To have the optimum experience, arrive early to the place , right when it opens, like at 11.30 or something. Overall good place to attend for kids and adults.

I highly recommend the Birla Science Museum, located in Hyderabad, India. It's a great place to learn about science and technology in an interactive and engaging way. The museum has a wide variety of exhibits, including a dinosaurarium and ISRO exhibition center. There are also hands-on exhibits that allow visitors to experiment with different scientific concepts. Exhibits designed on the basis of various Physics laws, mechanics, perception, vibration and sounds, energy and motors, electricity and magnetism and intriguing concepts of optical illusions and many other concepts. I was particularly impressed with the dinosaurarium, which has a life-sized replica of a Kotasaurus. It is located near the famous Birla Temple and at a easily walkable distance from the temple. It remains open from 10.30AM to 8:00PM and with an entry fee of Rs. 150/-. Parking is available inside the campus.

This place is literally a time machine⏳ You can spend half of the day here easily. There are 3 different tickets for different categories. I visited the B M Birla science museum. You can see and experience a lot of things here. Dinosaur fossils, archeological, mechanical, illustional, optical games and display. You can also have a look at one of the oldest and biggest cameras, oldest computers, CPUs, memory units. You feel like you went back to some late 1900’s to early 2000’s in the INTERACTIVE SCIENCE EXHIBITS AND EXPERIENCE GALLERY located in the entry level. Don’t miss it. Washrooms are available. Maintenance is ok ok. Better to carry some food & water as you have to walk a lot inside.

Excellent attraction for kids. Even we enjoyed a lot. You can spend several hours here. Museum is located next to Birla planetorium. Ticket price for combo of museum with planteorium is 250 rs. As planetorium shows are at scheduled timings so we went to museum first and then went to planetorium show at 6 pm. Parking was 40 rs. Small restaurant for refreshments especially ice-cream. 160 million years old real dunasour fossil is kept here in Dynasorium which our kid loved it ❤️. Old huge snail fossil etc. is also here. There are 3 levels of museum and in each level different category of attractions are. There are live experiments in electronics, electrical, sound, light etc.which kids can themselves run. Multiple small illusions are also here. For school kids it is a best way to learn by seeing live the experiments in books. Kashmir pashmina shall and beautiful Glas, Crystal and paintings are also there. So much to see and learn. Must visit with your family. 🥰😍🤩😘

One ⭐ for ONLY the Mars show. It's PATHETIC & WASTE OF MONEY. Easily it's the WORST thing about Birla science center. Earlier they used to show the travel from Earth to other planets and further using the heavy projector setup. Now, actually it's CHEATING, as they are only projecting a 2D film on the screen above us. I don't know why they are charging 125/- if they are not using that huge setup in the centre of the hall at all. This show is only suited for a TV screen projection as a documentary. Moreover, audience sitting on one side cannot see the whole frame at a time. I'm feeling bad to say this, but EARLIER It used to be an OUT-of-the-WORLD experience. We could get an immersive feel as if we are traveling in a real space ship and visiting those planets, stars, etc., Now they ruined it completely for me. I want my bloody refund. I've uploaded the ticket below as a proof that I actually saw this show.

It was raining heavily today at Hyderabad. So, we decided to go for Birla museum and Birla Planetarium. We went at 11 am and found out that Planetarium show starts only if 15 or more spectators are ready. Being a rainy Monday, couldn’t watch the planetarium show. Spent around 3 hours in Science museum and enjoyed a lot. Science experiments amused me a lot, with optical illusions, world’s largest camera and much more!! Had a really good time. Worth watching Science museum ticket cost Rs 125 per person. If you think have interest and around 3 hours then should visit this place.

Great info for students. 1. This museum contains basic principles of science and some demos on them, with interactive models for kids to understand science concepts. 2. Wonderful info about space and satellites launched. 3. Dinosaurs fossils are also available in the museum. 4. Planetarium has show on spacial objects. It is interesting. The reason for 4 star is because still the things and interactive models are old and they have to be updated.

I loved the Dinosaurs museum. I could find the dinosaur remains, fossils, bones and a lot of history around it.. Later, I also visited the archaeological centre where I could see very old monuments and their history. The thing that I didn't like about it was the Art museum. It was not interesting or unique about it and Sky theatre was quite boring..

Its the first science museum I went to, and from my experience, it is the best science museum. Don't miss the down floor, where you can witness nearly all the experiments you wanted to do in school days, but stopped doing because of some reason. For kids, it is a very creative and innovative place, for adults, it is just a pass time entertainment and for science lovers, it is exhibition of science. Finally, don't miss out the dinosarium room!!

Museum was good. The only downfall is they don't allow to take a single picture inside. They feel they will be out of business if people post the pictures on social media and their value will be lost as most of the historic things can be seen by anyone on the internet but that's not the reality. If anyone is really interested they would simply google and take out all of the info. I would request Museum management to think about it and let the public take their pictures and selfies inside. Thank you!

It is good place to take kids there. Kids will enjoy and play with the practical demonstration they gave for some theory. Other than that, okay. Price is too high. It nearly takes 2 hours only to cover the hole thing. Dinosaur thing and weapons of centuries old are nice to watch. Surely good place to enjoy. If you are going with kids you can send half a day for sure. Be imaginative and enjoy.

An evenly spaced out area divided by different areas and interests. Too bad the Dinosaur section was not accessible by wheelchair. Lot to learn for people of any age group. There are so many science experiments. There are other exhibits related to dinosaurs, Antarctica, submerged Dwaraka etc. Kids really liked the things on Ground floor and third floor. planetarium show was also nice. sit close to the guy who is operating the projector to get the best view. food items are not allowed inside. Photography and videography are not allowed within the buildings. There are 4 levels: Level-0 has the dolls Museum and other collections. Level-1 has different exhibits showcasing different principles of physics including optical illusion. Level-2 showcases the submerged city of Dwarka and more attractions. Level-3 houses a giant skeleton of a dinosaur which was excavated in this region. It was a great experience visiting this place.

This has 3 sections. 1 - Science museum, 2 - Planetarium, 3 - art gallery. Planetarium was closed during our visit due to some technical issues. Science museum depicting concepts of science with practical experiments was worth the time for kids who understand complex concept in a simple way. The Science museum also has a section that houses remains of dinosaurs that walked 200+ million years ago. This ticket costs 150 per person. There is a 3d show that takes us deep into sea exploring various species underwater. 3d show costs 50 per person. Art gallery costs 100 per person.

A really good place to learn from working out all science experiments. The archeological museum downstairs iss a gem for archeology lovers like me. The only downside was that the guide in the museum kept following me and my friends, tapping on our shoulder without permission in the pretext of helping us. Cost is 150/- per person. No UPI, only cash or card available.

Perfect for families with children, amazing place for them to learn science via something practical. It has dinosaur, archaeological, electrical, mechanical, illusion, space, planetarium, perception, etc. Sections. Experiments are associated with explanation of the concept it tries to portray. Has snackbar and washrooms inside.

We had visited Birla Planetarium during our sightseeing in Hyderabad. Tickets are priced at 100 rupees per person and there are shows in English and local languages at different times of the day. From the parking lot one has to walk up an inclined path to reach the Planetarium building at the top. We enjoyed the beautiful architecture of the building and the show about planets.

It's a Museum which houses some of the good things in Science, Space and Defence related department. Here the main part is the dinosaur section, and the Dwarka section which is newly added. And some good parts on Indian Space exploration. And the good thing is for kids to learn about science in their many of the different section on science, space, etc. All in all a good place for kids. For elders keep yourself busy in here. Do check out the dinosaur section. Give other's a miss.

Good place to enjoy with family members...I felt video played inside planetarium could have been improved. Rather than explaining about constellations they could have told about the recent discoveries. Interactive Science Centre is one of the many sections where exhibits are designed on the basis of various Physics laws, mechanics, perception, vibration and sounds, energy and motors, electricity and magnetism and intriguing concepts of optical illusions and many other concepts.

Great place for kids to develop enthusiasm in science. It is very unique museum where many exhibits are interactive. Kids will certainly enjoy and at the same time will learn. There is also dinosourium and planetarium. Also there is coffee shop inside the museum campus.

The museum will take about 2-3 hours by itself if you go checking every exhibit and actually interacting with them. The dinosaurium is a must-go. It has lovely artifacts for peole who are not into nerdy stuff. I would suggest the planetarium too since it serves as a wonderful experience by describing constellations and the biography of the universe. Tip- Sit towards the left side of the hall as you enter from the door for best experience.

Dinosorium is another centre of enjoyment for kids. There is an observatory at 5th floor to explore space bodies like moon and star. Parking facility available. Special path for Wheel chair movement. Rs 125/- charge for one person for science museum and 40/- for observatory. Kids below 3 years not allowed in planetorium. Foods shops is also available. Tea coffee and snakcs available. Washroom facility available. It was a good experiance to explore this place.

The ambiance of the environment around the museum is amazing. Need lots of advancement in the museum itself to improve the user experience and attract more visitors. Firstly, Other than few sections inside the museum, renovation or maintenance needs to be done on several devices and exhibits. Secondly, Interesting way to understand science should be the USP of the place, but it lacks that. Thirdly, I can understand the art museum having "no photography" policy. But keeping it for the science museum itself is what I find difficult in understanding. More pics help the popularity. Forth, space section has around 70 percent printed text banners. More depiction of science behind history of space exploration would improve the visitor experience. Need more English shows in the planetarium. Missed to experience that.

4 spots to visit: Birla Planetarium, Observatory (Dinasaurium), Science Museum, Art Gallery. This location is at walkable distance from Birla Mandir, Hyderabad. Tips/Details: 1. There is an entry fee (Check attached image) 2. Timings: 10am - 8pm (open all day) 3. Great place for kids. 4. Children below 5 years are not allowed. 5. Carry your own water bottle as there is more to walk/explore. 6. Luggage and eatable items are not allowed. 7. As there is a lot to explore it’s bit tough for elderly people to walk. 8. The show starts only if there are 15 people. So it is advisable to first visit the science museum. This way you can utilise and optimise your time. 9. Don’t miss to watch the huge skeleton of dinosaurs.

It is Quiet a good place where you can spend 4 to 5 hours easily. The ticket cost for all the services is Rs 260. There will be a Planetarium show in a theatre kind of set up. please check the timings before you purchase the tickets . The show is in English and Regional language .Once you done with the show you can move to Modern art Gallery which is close to the theatre. Lot of art work is there for your view and some of the work may surprise you as well , rest might be boring too. Next you go the Museum which is close to the parking ,where you can spend min 1.5 to 2 hours . Ground floor you have a science exhibition where children can learn a lot and see practically some science experiments. Kids will enjoy it for sure. there are few more floors where you can see dinosaurs skeleton and some of the space stuff. Its worth a watch and can learn lot of things. There is a cafe where some snacks cake and coffee are available. Plan accordingly so that you spend more time on the museum

Good place for kids and adults. Need to buy tickets to enter. Lots of school children around. No photography inside the dinosaur room though it’s worth going in and checking the cool skeletons and about geology. Great activity for kids to interact with.

We started exploring from the basement which had a lot of unique collection. Especially the archaeological and the porcelain doll collections. Would highly recommend not to miss the Room Royale exhibit as that's not something you can experience everywhere. After that we went to the top floor and saw the famed Kotasaurus in the dinosaurium. Amazingly preserved and almost fully complete fossil of this dinosaur. Definitely an experience to see this. After that we went to the space museum. It was a little underwhelming as there were mostly models of space satellites and rockets and walls of text. After that we checked out the science sections of the museum and they were not very great, I think the science museum part can definitely be made a little more updated and well maintained. There are unique stuff but no explanation or proper maintenance for example the evolution of camera section. There's a souvenir shop which is basically a pearl jewellery shop and not exactly souvenir. Would have liked a souvenir shop that at least sold some tiny trinkets of the dinosaur and other exhibits as most of these exhibits highly discourage photography.
