In
Girgambakkam
in
Chennai,
is
a
garden
known
as
Arjun
Thottam,
created
by
the
cine
actor
Arjun
of
Kollywood.
The
garden
consists
of
an
open
air
temple
with
a
canopy
on
4
huge
pillars
in
its
centre,
consisting
the
idol
of
Shri
Anjaneya
or
Hanuman.
The
entry
to
the
garden
is
through
the
western
side,
which
leads
to
an
open
square
yard,
which
consists
of
the
idol
of
Shri
Hanuman
facing
west.
In
the
prahaaram
on
entry
towards
your
left
you
will
find
a
small
temple
dedicated
to
Shri
Ram
along
with
his
brother
Lakshman
and
his
consort
Seetha
devi.
The
idol
of
Anjaneya
is
about
35
feet,
monolithic
and
sitting
in
Padmasan
in
a
Dhyanamudra
with
his
hands
places
on
his
laps.
The
tail
behind
raising
itself
in
a
circle
behind
his
face
creating
a
halo
like
structure.
The
expression
on
the
face
of
Anjaneya,
sings
about
the
bhakti
of
Shri
Arjun
in
getting
this
temple
completed
and
opening
it
to
the
public
at
large.
A
very
serene
and
peaceful
temple,
inspite
of
being
a
modern
creation.
