With
the
fluctuating
fuel
price
and
depleting
fuel
resources,
alternate
energy
based
vehicles
are
becoming
more
popular.
Cost
of
running
an
electric
scooter
is
only
a
fraction
of
running
a
petrol
driven
scooter.
They
are
extremely
quiet
performers,
environmentally
friendly
and
emit
no
emissions.
Lower
maintenance
and
running
costs
make
electric
scooters
more
attractive
if
your
requirement
is
a
mobility
solution
for
short
distances
as
the
range
of
the
scooter
is
relatively
less
compared
to
their
petrol
counterparts.
Visited
Grand
Moss
to
check
the
options
available
to
select
one
suitable
for
my
requirements.
Found
Ampere
Reo
and
Magnus
models
to
be
more
suitable
for
my
application.
Reo
is
available
in
the
VRLA
and
Lithium
Ion
battery
versions
where
as,
Magnus
is
available
only
with
VRLA
batteries.
Both
scooters
are
looking
modern
and
stylish,
but
still
the
plastic
feeling
remains
(to
reduce
the
weight
of
the
body
to
compensate
with
the
battery
weight).
However,
while
driving
scooter
felt
sturdy.
Range
(distance
covered
per
charge
in
kilometers)
of
Lithium
ion
version
is
60
km
and
VRLA
version
is
around
50
km
(will
depend
upon
driving
habits
and
number
of
passengers).
Magnus
is
little
bit
bigger
and
looks
stylish
too.
Initial
torque
is
good
and
sufficient
for
a
good
start.
Maximum
speed
the
scooter
can
reach
is
around
30
kmph.
No
need
of
registration,
driving
license
and
insurance.
This
is
an
attractive
feature.
Lithium
Ion
battery
can
be
easily
removed
from
the
scooter
and
charged
at
home
which
is
an
attractive
feature
for
people
living
in
multi
storey
buildings.
Charging
time
of
Lithium
ion
Reo
(4
to
5
hrs)
is
almost
half
of
Magnus
as
Magnus
is
having
60V
VRLA
battery.
If
your
daily
requirement
is
around
10
to
20
kms
(max
around
50),
you
can
go
for
anyone
of
these
models.
