One of my favourite vegetarian places to go to! I've gone here growing up as a kid. So we had a history of more than 15 years! The food was good :) does feel a bit like home food. During weekends, there usually is a long queue here so you have to go ahead of time.

This is a pure veg restaurant which serves Indian and continental dishes. Lasagne was great here.. Mushroom crepes was also good. North Indian dishes are also good. If you know what's good here and order, you'll have a good experience here. We experimented with different dishes, most of the dishes didn't taste good, their Tomato spaghetti, Vegetable crumble, Spicy rice in a bowl should be strictly avoided. Cauliflower wasn't cooked properly in Tandoori platter, it was raw. Portion size was less for the price they charge. Good service though.

I recently had lunch at Eden Restaurant, and it was a delightful experience. I ordered the Continental Vegetable Shaslik and the Baby Corn/Mushroom Sauté, both of which were served with rice and a flavorful red sauce. The meal was excellent, but what stood out the most was their iced tea, which was incredibly refreshing. I look forward to visiting Eden Restaurant again on my next trip to explore more of their menu. A must visit restaurant!

The veg options were great and the portion size is good. Food was yummy. We had 3 cuisines - Indian(tandoori), continental and Burmese. All were excellent. Definitely a good vegetarian place within a decent budget as well.

Service of the staffs was awesome very courteous and professional.. I liked their food but only the soup was not creamy enough to be a creamy soup.. apart from the soup every dish we ordered was top notch.. Their signature dish baked vegetable with white sauce was out of the world.. I had a great time with my foodie buddies.. Thank you!

I am a regular customer to Eden since 25 years. This is a place which brings back my memories as a youth. The place, service, taste is the key thing that takes me back to Eden. They update their menu with the trend. If I need to relax, with good food then it's Eden at the top of my mind would rather say as Top of my families mind. Thanks for serving us through so many years with awesome food.

One of the Few Vegetarian Restaurants in the Locality, this place serves some amazing tasty food that one can relish. I visited with my family on New Years Eve for Lunch and didn't have to wait for my table. It would be nice if the restaurant accepts reservations for large groups. Food preparation time was less than 20mins. It was served hot. A portion of the food was also sufficient. Stewards may be more polite and friendly instead of carrying a stern face. Budget Wise is also a decent spend for family.

This restaurant is a pride of Besant nagar and has been for decades now. Every time I visit Chennai from I make it a point to eat here and it never disappoints. I mean, the consistency of this restaurant is mind blowing. They serve amazing food at a reasonable price and service. I have pretty much had every item in the menu and it’s always amazingly tasty. Both their Indian selection to Continental dishes are amazing. Loved their Karuveppilai sadam/Curry leaf rice w gravy. It’s a pride of Besant nagar for sure. Love it and it’s a must-try. They accept all form of payments. Street parking

Visited almost after 16 years. Great food, started with roasted garlic and broccoli soup and ended with watermelon fizz mojito. Corn on toast and corn florentine were awesome delicious. Tiramisu and Lasagne were of high quality, mouth watering. Panner tikka masala and grained roti was okayish but rest all food was fantastic. Service can be a bit quicker knowing that the place is always crowded.

Restaurant is highly not recommended. Taate of the food is not satisfactory for the price. Deserts are good, but if you are looking anything apart from that kindly search for other options.

We waited for 20 mins to get a seat as it was completely crowded. But it was worth the wait. Every single dish that we tried was really awesome with right quantity. You won't find much delays between orders. Starters : Paratha pockets. Comes in shape of cute pouches with paneer fillings. Mains : aubergine panini with potato wedges and grilled paneer, Gobi, potatoes. Desserts: Banana split and almond chocolate flan. Recommended dish would be chef's special aubergine panini.

I have been a regular here for several years now and I like the manner in which they have standardised the quality of food served. Staff here are courteous and the restaurant is clean and hygienic. I wish the restaurant was elder-friendly. (The restaurant is in the first floor. Since there is no elevator, it can be difficult for super-seniors and physically challenged to climb the stairs)

Heard it's an Amazing restaurant. Even it tasted the same.. but worst customer service ever.. snaping a customer... Not responding properly. We got an item called warm chocolate pudding which was very cold. And asking us to accept and eat it jus becoz everyone are eating. Pls do learn how to behave to a customer. Pls do not throw the bill on their face , they are not eating something for free or for 5rs or 10rs.. we deserve the quality and respect.

Besant Nagar veg pace back in action Tried Khow Suey - noodles with rich veg sauce, fried onions, peanuts, and a side of vinegar soaked veggies. Yummy. Spicy thai rice had the classic thai taste. Even the humble aloo mutter was excellent and went well with the pulao. There is a make your own pasta option- choose the type of pasta penne, fussilli, spaghetti, sauce - herb cheese, pesto, pepper. cream and your selection of veggies. All washed down with some perfectly made lime soda. (sweet, salt or both ). Apple pie with whipped cream for dessert. That was a good meal. Portions are adequate for one adult. menu shared below Platters are a good option if you are hungry and want variety. The cheesecake is great as is the cottage cheese steak.

They have given a new definition to vegetarian food in terms of taste and presentation. Its an amazing place to enjoy delicious light food. If u want to eat light, dont forget to have cream of vegetable soup and mushroom on toast. Its yumm!!. And finish ur food with a pan which u get downstair shop. Happy eating!.

Delivered uncooked stuff. All rotis and palak thrown in to dust bin even begger wouldn't eat them. Was once good, now jus money minded and jus like any other fraud delivery scheme. Where you deliver horrible food and no one asks back however bad it is

Overpriced for average food. They understand "vegan", but have almost nothing to offer. Disappointing.

Wanted to visit Eden for long time. Food was ok but there is something missing. Tried Rotis, stuffed paratha, butter naan and paneer pulav. Rotis become soft too soon. Pulav was dry, can add some ghee. Paneer tikka masala was normal. Nothing to rave about.

#veg #casualdining #continental The place is a bit cramped. It does not have a great ambience for the price they charge. This is the first time I tried veg continental dishes. It was not that great may be for a pure non vegetarian like me. Fried Babycorn, I loved those. It was french fries equivalent. Hara bhara starter, masala pappad was okayish. We ordered spinach pancake which looked like lasagne and also tasted like lasagne with spinach inside. Few ordered roti with tender coconut curry and capsicum curry. Tender coconut curry was watery and more keralesque while capsicum curry everyone liked. Spicy bowl rice was standard taste of spicy rice with gravy. Overall experience was decent. If you want to try vegetarian only restaurants with continental dishes, try Eden. But come with no expectations.

Eden is a great little restaurant in Besant Nagar . No fuss, clean and neat. Very popular. I was there for lunch and the place was packed. We ordered Indian and Continental from the menu and weren't disappointed. Great mocktails. Big plus according to me - they use paper straws. Nice to know they care for the environment. I ordered a lasagne, other dishes ordered were the Madras risotto, piri Channa and rahi vada. Everything was tasty and the portions are generous. For dessert we ordered a slice of the Bannofee pie and Tiramisu. Both were excellent. Quiet efficient service. Casual place which attracts people of all age groups.

Good quality is really good and it's tasty too. Soft on the stomach with no impacts. Both South and North Indian items are cooked to perfection. The flip side is the unavailability of required number of staff during holidays when the restsurant is full. This has been witnessed again.

I have been a regular customer of the Eden restaurant for the last 20 years and always had good memories of the place. We used to come often because of the quality of food, Great service and a nice vegetrian place to be in besant Nagar. My last experience when we went with our family was one of most horrible experience, we ordered and they took more than 45 mins to serve the soup and 30 more mins to get the main course. To our surprise the pasta and lasagna which came in was half cooked and completely cold. To top it all the waiters in the restaurant was so rude and did not bother to come to the table or ignore us. I reached out to the manager as well but he was not of any help. I would end up there given this experience of a loyal customer.

This is very famous vegetarian hotel in Besant Nagar. Vegetarian dishes are decent and vegans might like the food a lot. I'd visited this place about 16 years back and went there today. I could see one thing has not changed in this place. Customers are made to wait for long time. Might be because there are few who wait the tables. If that is changed, experience would be very different. Hope, they correct it soon

Went here for dinner with my girlfriend. The ambience is pretty cozy. Ordered a cottage cheese steak and lasagna for main course and a soup 1/2. The soup was hot and tasty with ample quantity for both of us, the main course was very delicious and they actually have a lot of veggies in their dishes and the quantity is very good as well, loved it. Slightly on the expensive side but totally justified by the quantity and quality. Service is nifty and good. OVERALL RATING : 4/5

Eden after Ages Went for dinner. Order in photographs. Food was very good but am rating 4/5 because of poor service. With three kids in our midst and the smallest one demanding water multiple times the waiter who came to take our order showed his face, when I first demanded that he serve us water. Being in Chennai the first thing you expect is water to be served - here it was not, even after multiple requests. Food was served quite quickly and all items tasted very good. Food presentation was equally impressive.

We, a family of 10 members, had lunch. We were lucky to get the whole restaurant for us, as there were no visitors during that time. Food preparation was out of the world. Initially I did not have good opinion on the approach to the restaurant, but the food made me forget all that. One of our family member wanted a small cutting of money plant, which was part of the decor. The owners obliged with the request and gave it to us.

Nice ambience, cool, calm and receptive people. The food varieties are good and if a person wants to try something new, it's a place to go for. It's a pure vegetarian restaurant at first floor. Simple place but some extraordinary multicuisine food. You can choose from South Indian, North Indian, continental, Italian pastas, Thai food too. Cost front a bit expensive, but worth to spend. Varieties of deserts from shakes to sundae specials. A must visit place!

Went here after almost 4-5 years. The food is as good as it was back then. Survival in the restaurant industry is all about being consistently good. Eden delivers every time !

It's a nice place. Food is good. However they keep rushing you to order. We were looking to order extra dessert but before we could, they came with the bill. The service is fast, taste is good but you cannot sit and have relaxed conversations here. That's why 4 star. Otherwise it's 5 star place. Small and cozy.

I loved the food here.. nothing much to complain about.. i didn't like lasagne as the spinach taste was raw. Slow service as there are very limited staff.

Basic neat decor. Food quality was very good and service quite good. A bit expensive but very large portions of everything. Best to go in groups of 4 or more.

After a long time dined out with friends. Best thing happened is the wait time - overall wait time for all the dishes we ordered is 10 minutes. Shoutout to Vegetable Mubarak - amazing and unexpected dish. Taste wise you would feel satisfied. Curry base for most of the things are same - had the same curry as a curry and side dish for the main course in my case. Not great with garlic bread - very small and not so good compared to other restaurants. Ambience - 07/10 Quality of food - 08/10 Hospitality- 09/10

A nice restaurant to spend some quality time. Bit crowded but that didn't bother much. A well curated veg only menu and the taste was also pretty good. Variety of options to choose from.

When I saw it from ground floor, I was disappointed. When I reached the first floor ,the restaurant ,it was a small eat out with limited number of seats but ambience was good. Whatever the item that we ordered taste wise was fine and quantity was also fine and price was not on the higher side. The price was perfectly fixed for the quantity and quality they served. Service was also good. Staffs were friendly, especially Mr. Prakash. But the dish that I ordered green peas Masala was slightly diluted, it could have been more thicker. And we ordered one cake, it was very watery. It should have been slightly better. Since I came from Valasaravakkam to Besant Nagar to this place this is my first time experience. If I would have requested, they would have made green peas masala and cake thicker. To summarise everything in one line, this place won’t disappoint you. This place is for the localites.

😠 The food was good and the service was great. But I am giving a single star review because of an incident. I witnessed the person who was moping the floors stick his hand into the ingredients containers and eat the food. With the other hand he was still holding the mop which he was holding just a few...

👍👍 Very good place for vegeterian dishes A very good place for vegeterian dishes. Parotta would be very nice. North Indian dishes would taste very authentic. Positives: Tasty food Can be better:More options Negatives: Attitude of person taking order and Eco unfriendly cutlery.
