One of the worst experiences I've ever had in recent times and surprisingly, it was at Anjappar. I visited their RK salai branch last night for dinner. Very poorly maintained. All of the sofa seats were dirty. Some of the chairs were also slightly damaged. The food was either salty or had bones in dishes that should not have had bones. Some of the vegetarian food was okay. But that's not what they are known for. I caught the guy behind the desk literally chase out a delivery partner that was picking up food from them . After chasing him out and making him wait there, they even shut the door on his face. It was an empty restaurant. They could have let him sit down. I'm very sure he would not have mindd the non sense entertainment that was playing on the TV. All in all, Anjappar? Never again!

Biryani taste is decent. Completely disappointed with the quality & quantity. Moreover I don't understand the packing charges. Why should I pay for their brand promotion in the packages. When your printing your brand name in the packing box then you should not charge us for packing and we already paying for food including GST. Yes I'm not denying your point but they are charging and they are not printing their brand name on their covers and they are asking while doing the billing. Even Jewellery and retail shops they are not charging for covers as well. Food parcels you can give it normal silver foil containers whereas your plastic parcel containers are not maintaining the food temperature. It's a fancy branding in our money. This is my suggestion since you replied.

My recent experience was not a great one as the taste level has definitely dropped down. Also the wait time was long and order in which food was served was not matching. Quantity of food does not match the high price. Pros: 1. Location 2. You can always find a table 3. Polite attenders Cons: 1. Food quantity is less when compared to the price 2. Food serving time is bit longer than expected 3. Food serving order is messed up at times (I was served butter naan without the gravy being served first which result in a rigid naan while consumption)

We were so famished and craving a Tandoori and landed at the correct spot for tickling our taste buds. The service from Dinesh Mondal was so polite and swift. Definitely a must visit for the southern ambience

Food standards have gone down. This chain was once well known for its food quality. Hariyali kabab was undercooked. Disappointed with mutton briyani - no flavor, only 2 small pieces and not even sufficient quantity but had to pay a hefty price. Not many parking spots available.

Chettinadu and chinese cuisine. They amazed us by their food. Taste was good. Ambience wasnt that good. Parking available. Cards n gpay accepted.

Frozen old meat half cooked. Had only mutton kuska not Briyani. Waste of money not even one single flush is good. Hope the rice is cooked today.

Mr.Muthukumar has done excellent service and the food quality in Anjappar is so good..nice atmosphere to dine in with family.

Seeraga samba mutton biriyani taste was very good. Awesome taste and mutton pieces were very nicely cooked melting inside the mouth. Veg meals also was very good.

Amazing place to have seafood. Do try the shark starter dish which is there. And ask for the pomfret, it's a special which might be available on some days. The experience of eating on a banana leaf is the most wonderful and authentic experience one can get.

Feels like you're walking into a shady building just to get to the entrance of the restaurant. Like most restaurants, they had heavily diluted handwash and 1-ply tissue. I visit most Anjappar outlets just for their Crab Lollipop and in this particular branch it was not bad. Service was good though and that's about it.

New year lunch plan but their service was very disappointing to me and my friends.... Delay orders 😕 service is also not satisfied 😞 by the way food taste is really good especially mutton biriyani good taste and then tandoori really even spicy and then fried rice good 👍 nattu kozhi soup 🍲😋 yummy.... I enjoyed the food but it was an unsatisfactory service and payment method thank you so much we don't think the amount will be high..... Anjappar I knew from a couple of years ago is gone. There is nothing good in this place. If you dine-in, be prepared for the worst experience of your life. Instead order their food to be delivered if you are okay with the prices.

This place was a good reminder for me to go back to the classic iconic spots in Chennai! The mutton kola biriyani and the chicken keema dosa were just amazing. Food was reasonably priced. Also noticed their staff taking extra caution for a bunch of vegetarian guests they had. Very mindful and lovely service!!!

The place looks and smells shabby. Seems like a ghost of its former self. Some dishes are good while others are a miss! The service is good though - very polite and prompt.

I had fish curry and rice. It was of course spicy, considering it's chettinad cuisine. The menu is big, so will take time to explore dishes. But some of items on menu were not available when i went. Service was okay. It's a no fuss food place.

Everything was just amazing! Absolutely satisfied with the food, service and even the price! Elaneer payasam was fab and the taste was too notch! Hands down, Anjappar is the best for someone who craves good Chettinad cuisine❤️

Worst experience they don’t have items whatever we ask from the menu and ordered a mutton paya which was suggested by the waiter they have served raw leg and when we ask about it he is saying can I take the same leg and boil it worst ever experience

The place has lost his old charm. Food is average. Service is worst.. Even th AC is not working. They are more working as a delivery counter.

We had chicken biriyani , non veg meals , fish finger , crab lollipop , tangry kababThe Food taste it was good (exept) non veg meals because the kolambu which consists of crab it involves fully the waste ie. Shell of crab only . When it comes to quantity it is just like every famous restaurant food chain . The worst part is the staff who work their in this branch they are so lazy one they give you some food they will not even turn up untill you call them multiple times ,Even after completing your lunch I waited for a long time for me to get my bill to be settled

Prominent raw ginger and garlic aroma in biriyani, they did not explain the meal properly, if I know it comes with only cold nin veg gravys without any meat, I would have not ordered it. Quality is no match to the price they charge.

Terrible food and ambience. Perfectly avoidable unless you have no other choice. If you do have to eat there, do not be adventurous, still to basic staples like Biryani.

We tried several non veg restaurants before and can say this one is the best when it comes to service, food and to try different tastes of south Indian flavours. This place is good for family gatherings. Costwise it is neither high nor low.. cost for one person is around 500rs.

Worst preparation of food today am get a parcel. In side old chicken and egg. Don't order because not good for children. They are preparing only hotel customer don't care about online customer. Please avoid that hotel
