If you visit once, you will never visit this one. This restaurant has given me an impression that, food options in Chennai could be disastrous. Food is worst, oil used was very old. We could smell it from all items. We ordered starters, veg curry, biryani. The biryani quantity shocked us. Taste was utter nonsense. We left the place without eating anything after spending 1500/-

Feel hungry we visited the Anjappar hotel at Porur with family time In night time we ordered tandoori chicken full, appam, chicken butter masala, chicken chettinad masala, and naan😋😋 I loved specially appam and chettinad masala Desert finished lovely normal falooda 😍 Service is too late no one in table services🙅 Ambience is good Parking is best 🧐 Payment card services and UPI payment🤗

The service I would say was really good, ambience was the usual non veg high class restaurant type. Coming to the food, the non veg meals is good, the parrotta was really flacky and soft went well with their mutton curry. Salna parotta will be available in the evening that was also amazing.

This is called "chicken" fried rice (230 rupees). Ironically, it's not even fried, it's just a very bland pulao with about 5 grams of chicken strands in it. What you see on the right side of the plate is the total quantity of chicken and eggs present in the entire dish. They had the audacity to call this a chicken fried rice and tell us that this is what they have been serving for years. I returned my order and now I feel bad for the person who got this re-served again. I bet they didn't even re-heat it.

I have ordered 1 chicken biryani and 1 nattu kozhi biryani. The price of natttu kozhi biryani. To my surprise I have got mutton biryani instead of nattu kozhi biryani. When I called the hotel, they asked me to send the photos and I did send them. Then they told that whatever thay have sent is a nattu kozhi biryani. It was clearly evident that they have sent a wrong item and on top of that they have lied to justify that nowadays chicken pieces are coming like this. Such a worst attitude from the hotel guys. The quantity and quality of food is nowhere in comparison with their prices. Small shops are providing better tasty food with reasonable price.

Ordered naatukozhi milagu varuval & chettinad kozhi varuval via swiggy. They charge 300+ for each dish. The quantity is very very less for the cost.Not satisfied.

Terrible service ... AC was not working properly....they started serving the order but they didn't kept water... We have asked more than 6 times... At last ourselves got a jug of water from other table.... Agree it was overcrowded but it is basic courtesy ..They should really look into this.... Only satisfying thing is the food was good

One of the worst place I had food. my friend daughter birthday party and had a very bad experience should be zero star. None of the food was hot. Everything was cold even the biryani. Kindly don't book this restaurant for any of your occasion. Your happy moments will be spoiled by the food.

Horrible restaurant ever. For 1 Briyani we have to wait 1 hour and even they won't serve you water to drink. They treating people eating for free. Don't come here

I personally asked the waiter prior to place my food order that we like to order food only if they are freshly made. Because we were with kids. Then I ordered chicken biryani, plain biryani, tandoori chicken and vanjaram fry. Biryani has no aroma and looks like yellow chicken rice. It was not fresh, it served reheated and Tandoori chicken served in 10 min which was not hot. Then they microwaved and served it. A thin slice of vanjaram fry which costs Rs 330 plus tax. Very disappointed and not freshly cooked dishes. People are coming to the restaurant to have freshly cooked food, not reheated one.

I had my son's 1st birthday party there..food and service was good. The manager Mr.Edward supported us a lot with our requirements. Very budget friendly when compared with other restaurant banquet halls of equal standard. Overall we had a wonderful birthday party with delicious food

Experience was good, for the non veg meals taste was okay. But my friend had gobi fried rice for that price tag its not even worth and even less quantity. Taste also okish.. non veg meals 200, gobi fried rice 180. Not even match at all. Only for the name they priced too much.. they sat chettinad style thats all

Very very worst experience. They will treat you as a guest when you order dozen of items. By chance if you order one item to check taste and quality, they not even treat you like their labor. If you asked again about the order, they will use to tell like "we will first serve Swiggy and Zomatto order, then only urs". Such a bad behaviour. There is no option for 0 star, thts y i put 1 star.

Located on the main road itself so no issues in finding the place. They have decent open parking for both 2&4 wheelers in front of the restaurant itself. Food taste was good, we personally felt that sea food(vanjaram fry) was like old, may be we got bad slice. Chicken was good at first order and when we ordered second time it was not that great. Overall it was a good experience.

This is a popular non-veg chain and we have had enjoyed their food on many times. But this time was disappointed as they did missed to serve an item, which still was billed. They were arguing that they have served that item. Finally we gave up and paid for the item that wasn't served. Very disappointed. Despite that giving 4 star rating as they otherwise serve good food.

Good place for non vegetarians especially in the stretch of Poonamalle high road. Valet parking is available. Ambience is good. Tried Anjappar special chicken gravy with tandoor roti & Parotta. Price is reasonable & quantity is sufficient for two.Taste was perfect & would recommend everyone who wants to try Authentic Chettinad food. Chicken Biryani tastes good with all spices combination.

It’s very worst experience we had today, food which we had is totally old and not good .. especially parotta and briyani .. if we paying 1500 and above then you have to serve good food .. you selling foods which prepared day before .. especially briyani and paroota..

Good location bang on porur main road. Parking available. Security will give token and collect car key to adjust if necessary. We attended birthday party in first floor hall. Hall is clean and food also great. Hot and little spicy. Worst is toilet. Urinal is leaking and nobody cares. I seen many good hotels with bad/worst toilets. Anjapper has to improve it otherwise they will loose customers though they have good food & good location.

2 star is only for the tomato soup and egg kuttu parota. Mushroom 65 was worst and even chicken 65 was worst. More over they haven't maintained cleanliness Bec of which there were so much of mosquitos.

Above average non veg hotel in Porur. Preferred by traditional south Indian. Don't order barbeque or grilled, it will not be good. Order Nethili fry and plain biryani which is good.

Absolutely disappointing experience To begin with the person who took our order, wearing blue shirt and red tie (there arey couple of them who walk around wearing this uniform. They oversee the services) was so disinterested and irritable. . His body language and the way he spoke to us was like the whole thing was a bother and he was doing us a favour. The food was extremely mediocre. Couldn't believe that in a so called chettinad restaurant chicken kheema dosa was served with sambar chutney and not saalna!! Next we ordered saalna paarota in which someone had grudgingly added a miniscule amount of saalna. Never going back again. Roadside food carts serve better food.

Been craving a good biryani for months now, ordered a Chicken biryani for lunch on a Sunday and it was really delicious Have previously ordered from this same branch multiple times but wasn really great The new recipe, style and masala was really good Pricing was slightly a bit steep but I wouldn really mind spending extra bucks for this good food Happy Smiles! I have ordered from Zomato. One paneer butter masala and 4 butter naan. Please look what they have in name of butter naan. Butter naan cost 90 rupees but doesn't worth 1 rupees

Wonder why their quality and taste has come down these days... May be they are facing issue with good chefs during this pandemic times...anyways We were not satisfied during our visit with the food... That too for the amount we spent on our visit, the taste was not upto mark and we were completely dissatisfied... The grill tasted worse than the roadside shops... Parotta was like cakes! Gravy was so bland... Chicken Lollipop was so moderate... Nethili fry tasted was okay... Would recommend the management to have a check on the kitchen team for the taste and quality...

We had non veg meals here. It's our opinion meals given by them not that much tastier. Only chicken kozhumbu ok for rice. Other items are not upto the mark. Rasam ok. And we had briyani here. That was tastier. We had mutton chukka it was also good. One more chicken Tikka we had was tastier.

1. Avoid fresh juice, they are pathetic and exorbitant 2. Some of the non-veg dishes like pepper chicken were not upto mark. 3. Seating and AC is comfortable. 4. Parking in the front. 5. Often its difficult to get the order placed as they move out of site after the initial order.

Would like to have comfy non veg food , this is the place to visit. Feel the safety of getting vazaillai ( banana leaf) based serving. So don't worry about your plates and eco friendly method

Quitea and calm ambience, although it is just next to busy highway. All nonveg starters are tasty and service is good. To my surprise, I could see vegetarian meals available at this place and it was good considering that it is an exclusive nonveg hotel

A chettinad restaurant serving mouth-watering dishes. Nattukozhi soup is delicious. It's a great place to dine with family! Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes tasted great. The mutton biryani is delicious with a rich flavor. It is very delicious to eat Tandoori dishes. Clean and neat sitting area. A hygienic service system. The restaurant is highly recommended.
