This restaurant is located in a small street where parking facility is unavailable. Only motorcycle parking can be done. Now let's get straight to the food. I ordered Veg thali - consisted of dal, aloo bhaji, tomato chutney, salad , chick peas gravy and rice. Paratha combo- two regular paratha , chick peas gravy, dal, aloo bhaji , salad. Veg roll - it was good. The food was just average in taste. Nothing much special but if you want Bengali food at pocket friendly price. Then must come here.

Ordered food from swiggy, Bengali foods available, tasted several items , mutton kasa little sweet type but tasty. Hilsa fish also good, veg thali ok type, chicken chap tasty.

I ordered 2 times during my stay in Chennai. The pics below are from 1st order. Chicken meal- decent with variety, quality n quantity but again lot of scope of improvement. The sabji too bland, chicken gravy too oily. But next order was a disaster. Ordered fish meal, but they gave a veg meal of atleast 80 lesser in price without rice. Myself n Zomato executive tried to reach them for 30 mins but failed. It was good Zomato refunded full amount but I lost faith in restaurant.

As I was craving for some Bengali food, ordered from Northern Connection. Initially I was in a dilemma whether to order from here or not after reading mixed reviews, but then thought to give it a try. Ambience & Location:   I am giving this review on the basis of delivery experience only. So can’t describe anything about ambience, parking🅿 or location. Food:   I order chicken kosha🍗 and roti. Delivery was on time⏰. Packaging was good. There was 3 medium pieces of Chicken (With bones) which costs 110/-. Rotis 10/- per piece. Chicken was perfectly cooked. Gravy taste standard. I would like to mention that it wasn’t spicy at all (which is expected in kosha mangsho), but can be excused as I haven’t given any instruction to make it spicy. Saltiness of gravy was also on lower side. Roties were also as expected. It is just like your home food. In short, if I am longing for some Bengali food I will order again👍. VFM: I am satisfied with the quality and quantity of food for the money which I have paid💰. So, for me its absolute VFM. Looking forward to try Fish Fry..

Worst delivery i got in zomato by this hotel. I ordered chicken curry worth of Rs. 99. I got delivered by zomato. I saw that the quantity was very low. I attached the parcel in the picture. After words i went directly to the hotel by using google maps. I argued about that. After he gave another parcel. If you didnt went the hotel and raise a question means you may be cheated. So be careful guys beware of these hotels. You might be get cheated. Please dont support these kind of activities.

Not good for vegetarian. Smell of non veg on rice and dal. Not hygienic. No doubt it's cheap. But that smell on food was horrible.

Chicken khasa has authentic taste & roti is good. Much recommend if u want authentic taste

Restaurants like this is where I feel like ambience is not at all important. I've tried some other Bengali eateries like Nostalgic Kolkata and Bong 360. But Northern Connection just beats them all when it comes to quality and taste of food. The price is also the best in Chennai. If you want to feel like home if you want to remember those fond memories of home Northern Connection is where you should go. 100% authentic 100% flavour. But if you are looking to show off or go on an expensive date then maybe go Bayleaf or Nostalgic Kolkata as the ambience will be better there. For me Northern Connection over any restaurant in the city.

Prices on the higher side, food quality good. But improvements required on the hospitality part.

I had pre ordered the poila boishakh lunch menu on 14th April. They said it will reach to me Max by 1:30 pm on 15th April. On 15th April I called up the restaurant and told them need to leave by 2pm and they informed lunch will reach by 1:30 pm max. It has been more than 1 hour now and still there is no sign of the same. I was checking with the person and at 2:10 pm , he told me that the lunch has been picked up already. But in reality the lunch was picked up at 2:30 as per the dunzo status. I also have the screenshots. This is really unprofessional. If this was the issue they could have told me earlier. Very very unprofessional. They were lying since beginning. Very bad service. Very bad. Really disappointed and will not recommend this to any of my friends and acquaintances.

Food is authentic Bengali.. Very delicious and filling.. Great place to eat with family and friends.. Restaurant is little small, but accommodates many people..

The oil or ghee they use, tastes terrible. I'm definitely not buying from them next time. Had this horrbile experience twice...

It is basically a bengali restaurant wid both varieties of veg & non-veg. One can enjoy tasty food at economical rates and it also has tie-up wid Swiggy to deliver food to your door step.If you visit Northern Connection, don't forget to enjoy d mishti doi at the end of your order 😊

A place of authentic Bengali cuisine in Chennai... Just loved it....

Ordered 3 Chicken chaap tonight (25.10.2023) through Swiggy and to my utter disappointment they served stale and rotten meat in two of the chaaps. First time I am experiencing such issues with this restaurant, and think there are very serious health and hygiene worries prevailing with the restuarant. Appropriate authorities may please arrange take a note of their stock of fish, meat as this worsening hygiene is a big concern. Extremely disappointed with the lackluster attitude on part of the restuarant
