4+ is my rating for the chicken biriyani. Overall rating considering service and other criteria is 3+. The chicken biriyani is delicious. Pieces are abundant and flavoured well. Rice quantity is more than the norm. Very limited oil. Masala and flavour is just right, neither too much or less. Different from the run-of-the-mill Chettinad biriyanis that you see around with too much oil, spices and colour. Consistent in all aspects as I've purchased more than once. The fish fry is not worth the money. Grilled 🐔 is good, nothing different from the competition. Chicken fried rice is good. Chilly chicken is so-so, less pieces. Chicken 65 is awful.

Worst veg fried rice. Veg noodles taste is average. Tandoori chicken is good. Chicken lollypop taste is below average. Today we have bought the above and thrown veg fried rice into dust bin. Day by day quality decreases.

I have visited many hotels in Chennai for the past 10 years. This is the hotel the best I ever visited. All the dishes are very tasty at the reasonable price. Especially Chicken fried rice and grill chicken are extraordinary taste😋

The briyani has a unique taste , an okayish ambience with adequate space for 12 to 15 people to eat at the same time . Price is very affordable and quantity of each dish is well enough for one person. Shawarma was surprisingly very good.

Both dining and take is available. Menu has all items.. Taste is good. Dining place is small and conjust. Good place for boys.. Family little difficult to sit. Tandoori is good with roti.. C rice, prwan rice also good..

Me and my friends going regularly on every Sunday ❤️ As per Google photo...it was old ambience... Now they updated... Idk why still didn't update in Google reviews. Owner was friendly one.

You really can't judge a book by its cover, can you? This is a pretty nondescript joint, completely minus the trappings of pretension. Clearly, Team Padiyan gives hygiene & ambience no more than a mere cursory nod in their direction. This is no place for families - the place is cramped, the AC isn't switched on in the afternoons even if we're all baking inside & out, and the awful washbasin is practically in your face, good grief!!! The food is something else, however - especially their biryani & Chettinad-style country chicken: extraordinary! I wouldn't eat here, if I were you: get your food packed/delivered instead. Those two dishes are amazing, though I can't speak for the rest. Real good food, reasonably priced, though there's no dessert of any sort. As for location, parking, staff in fancy outfits who speak with an accent, ambience, decor & the works - well, people, if that's what you're looking for at Padiyan, you've certainly come to the wrong place: you gotta be dining at the Radisson, or some place like it, in that case.
