Special darshan from Amman sitting near the deity was heart warming. Four wheeler parking during festival time will be a challenge.

Devine place. The temple is situated close to Thiruverkadu bus depot. Temple maintenance is clean. It's a famous temple in Thiruverkadu. Have enough parking space. When coming to prasadham puliyotharai is the signature dish. Would recommend for all time go for having a relaxed peaceful worship.

Visited here on Sunday such a devotional and busy place. There are nearly 10-15 marriage setups for marriage. If you wish to do your marriage here kindly reach the temple association and book in advance. There will be auctions for clothes which are worn for goddess Devi Karumariamman. You can bid in that auction and get your wished sarees/dhotis. Keep the blessed cloth in your it'll bring all needs. Note: not sure this auction will be held daily.

Om Shakthi. Big temple and one of the famous amman temple in and around temple. Mostly all people around these locality would have visited here. Such a Powerful god. Separate places are created for making pongal prasad for amman. So many other than amman gods are also placed inside the temple. Amman created by full wood also inside the temple. Big mandam is constructed which is very good for devotees to take rest after prayer.Big bazaars are available to buy god photos, household items etc...Bus facilities are excellent to visit here. Hotels and restaurants are available on and around. Restroom facilities are missing around temple.Check for timings now due to lockdown restrictions. All should visit with families atleast one time to get amman arul🙏.

This ancient and popular temple is just about 20 kms from South Chennai and we ventured to this place in our bicycles. Though just 20 kms, had to traverse in highways going north thru industrial belt. With mediocre roads and crazy traffic, we quickly realised bicycling wasn't a good idea, but continued anyways as we were midway thru the journey. But to make up for all the traffic woes, we had great darshan of Karumari Amman. Temple itself was well maintained and the devotees were just starting to trickle in when we got there around 6:00 AM.

Excellent temple dedicated to goddess Parvati in various forms such as Kamakshi , meenakshi, visalakshi, the main form of goddess Parvati is Devi karumari. It is one of the sakthi peedams .Very big temple and lots of sannithi is there such as lord Ganesha, lord Murugan, guru and more. Lord Perumal sannithi adds beauty to the temple. The maintenance of the temple is good but can be improved more. A huge pond is situated opposite to the temple. There are many shops in the road side .Frequent buses are available from the route of T. Nagar and Tambaram. Must visit temple as it is one of the famous temples in Tamilnadu.

Goddess Karumariamman is believed to be the principal and guardian goddess of Thiruverkadu. Sunday is celebrated as the day of Karumari. One can happily witness the scene of sun rays falling on the head of Devikarumari twice a year.According to legend, Karumariamman once disguised herself as a soothsayer and visited the sun-god Surya to predict his future. Surya ignored Karumariamman, refusing to grant her an audience. Angered, the goddess departed. The moment Karumariamman left his abode, Surya started losing his lustre.

Very powerful goddess... Apart from some stupid priests inside the premises and Putthu sannidhi priest - you have to spit on his faces for begging money from devoties... My sandals got looted in this temple on 23/10/2022 evening between 4.00pm to 5.00pm during my temple visit... Temple authorities should take action against the thieves in the temple premises asap...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Arulmigu Devi Karumariamman Temple in Thiruverkadu, and I must say that it was a truly enchanting experience. From the moment I stepped foot onto the temple grounds, I was engulfed in an aura of serenity and spirituality. The temple's architecture is a sight to behold, with its intricate carvings and vibrant colors. As I walked through the ornate entrance gate, I felt a sense of reverence and peace washing over me. The temple's peaceful ambience and lush surroundings create a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling city. One of the highlights of my visit was the main deity, Devi Karumariamman. The idol, adorned with beautiful jewels and flowers, exudes a divine aura that is truly captivating. I spent some time in prayer and meditation, feeling a deep sense of connection with the divine energy present in the temple. The temple also houses several smaller shrines dedicated to various deities, each with its own unique charm. The atmosphere within these shrines is intimate and inviting, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the spiritual vibrations that permeate the air. The temple premises are well-maintained and clean, reflecting the dedication of the temple staff and management. The priests were knowledgeable and approachable, providing guidance and answering my queries with patience and warmth. During my visit, I also had the opportunity to witness a traditional puja (ritual) ceremony, which was a truly mesmerizing experience. The rhythmic chants, the fragrant incense, and the flickering lamps created an ambiance of devotion and reverence that touched my soul. I was also delighted to discover the presence of a peaceful pond within the temple complex. This serene spot offers a place for reflection and tranquility, providing an escape from the outside world. I found solace in sitting by the pond, surrounded by the gentle sounds of nature. Overall, my visit to the Arulmigu Devi Karumariamman Temple was an unforgettable journey into spirituality and inner peace. Whether you're a devoted follower or simply seeking a place of solace, this temple is a must-visit. I highly recommend taking the time to explore this divine sanctuary and experience the profound sense of tranquility it offers. Note: Please keep in mind that this review is based on my personal experience and perspective, and others may have different experiences and opinions.

I've been going to this temple since childhood. Such a wonderful divine place inside the temple alone. I guess since 2005/6 this place hasn't got changed a bit. After many years, I visited this temple on 26th Aug'23 , we reached the temple around 09.45pm on 22nd Aug'23 and decided to stay in the temple's accommodation itself. We were four(My nephews ,elder sister and me) carrying bed sheets and a few necessary things like a water bottle , Mosquito repellents , dress to change in the morning. The whole place was almost occupied, and we went to the other side of the place where only one ceiling fan was working. Somehow we managed until midnight, but then during 1.30am heavy rain started and water started to enter the accommodation place itself. And we had to rush where there was no water. Also, there is no shelter from accommodation to restrooms, most of the people were drenched in rain to use the toilets. The toilets were very messy and disgusting, really fed up with the way the toilets were managed inside the temple premises. And If you're planning to stay in the temple's accommodation , pls avoid it. d Do stay in any nearby hotel and do visit only the temple even in the case of emergency do not enter the toilets inside the temple premises. There are toilers named as "Free" outside the temple premise nearby "Puthu templ" behind the head tonsuring/ear piercing area. But the local women charge ten rupees from each person including kids. Here the toilets are somewhat better but still locks are broken no hot water facility. Literally this area hasn't been changed even after 15 years, i visited last time in 2005/06 when I was in 5/6th grade in school. Most importantly the hotels were so good earlier and I couldn't find any of those good hotels for breakfast outside the temple area. I had breakfast at the nearby bus depot it was terrible. Need a lot of improvement to develop basic amenities inside the temple accommodation place.

Though the temple premises are neat, it's absolutely not clean around the temple. Corporation & temple administration should take efforts to clean up. Also the street at the entrance is completely encroached upon. Pedestrians must struggle to walk between rushing 2 wheelers & cattle

A lot of pilgrims are coming to take the blessings of Amma. Lot of marriages are happening inside the temple. Pilgrims and marriage function people are staying at night inside the temple but there are no proper and sufficient toilets available. Some toilets are locked with no reason and there are only 3 toilets for gents and in that one of the 3 toilets has no doors. Kindly make proper facilities for the people . Thank you in advance!

One of my favourite temple in this area, the temple is well maintained and you can feel the energy everytime you visit the temple all the the temple pond which was once with good water now has paved way as a sewage water container, I feel bad as how much selfish are we as humans destroying the ecology and nature just for our convenience. I'm sure that Amman is not happy with destroying that pond nearby and she will give equal punishment for us for destroying nature. Anyway the temple is great and you can experience a positive energy as soon as you visit

Temple of special and powerful deity.. As usual another temple that is worst maintained by Tamilnadu HRCE dept. Highly commoditized and only motive is money. There are multiple special tickets Rs.20, 50 etc. Whatever it is, we have to wait atleast for 30 mins in normal hours to workshop deity. Do not go to the temple area by car. Too much traffic on the way and it's a very small road. Better put the car atleast a KM ahead and go by walk or auto. Deity is very graceful and its worth visiting this temple.
