There are some statues of #tamilPoets which is really appreciated and #Annadurai the #CM is one of the most praised leader and his achievements have been portrayed in #AnnaMuseum which is near to it. The mortal remains of the Great Anna lies here in the vicinity of the Bay of Bengal. The memorial monument features a huge monolith. It is a great place to hang out. Public have access to the lawn and benches here which makes it a welcoming place. I personally think it is time for a renewal of the monument may be with some additions which makes it architecturally more appealing. A renewal will attract more visitors here and will make it an important spot of tourism in the map of Chennai

If you visit the marina beach of chennai then this is the must visit place of you. This area is not so much spacious. Only 20 minutes will be more than enough to roam whole area. Structural view of this area was awesome. I recommend this place to visit.

The Anna Memorial, officially known as the "Anna Samadhi," is a memorial dedicated to C.N. Annadurai, a prominent Tamil politician and the first Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, India. The memorial is located on the Marina Beach in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. C.N. Annadurai, popularly referred to as "Anna," was a key figure in the Dravidian movement and played a significant role in Tamil Nadu politics. He served as the Chief Minister from 1969 until his passing in 1969. The Anna Memorial was built to honor his legacy and contributions to the state. The memorial site includes a simple but impactful structure that houses the final resting place of C.N. Annadurai. It is a black granite structure with his statue and a flame at the top, symbolizing his ideals and the perpetuation of his legacy. The memorial site is a place of reverence for many Tamil Nadu residents and visitors interested in the state's political history.

Anna Memorial, locally known as Anna Samadhi or as Anna Square, is a memorial structure built on the Marina beach in Chennai, India. Actually, It was built in memory of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, C. N. Annadurai (1967–69), who was cremated here in 1969. Later on, Karunanidhi, the veteran leader of the Dravida Munetra Kazhagam (DMK) party and the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu was also buried on 8 August 2018. The entrance have a tusk-shaped arch carried the design of 'Rising Sun', the symbol of the DMK party. I recommend every Indian to pay a visit if you travelling to Chennai or are from Chennai.

As the name suggests it is the memorial of one of the Ex.CMs of TamilNadu. The quote engraved for him is really touching, "Here Lies The Noble Heart Which Can Bear Anything". It is close to the Marina Beach and well maintained ispite of it being visited by huge number of visitors every day.

From the moment I entered the premises, I was captivated by the grandeur and beauty of the memorial. The architecture is magnificent, with its imposing structure and intricate detailing. It truly stands as a testament to the legacy and vision of Perarignar Anna. Inside the memorial, I was taken on a journey through the life and accomplishments of this remarkable leader. The museum is thoughtfully curated, showcasing the important milestones of his political career and his contributions to Tamil literature and culture. The exhibits are informative and engaging, providing a deep insight into his ideologies and principles. The memorial's surroundings are beautifully maintained, with well-manicured gardens and serene walkways. It provides a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for contemplation and reflection. The staff members were courteous, knowledgeable, and eager to answer any questions I had, enhancing my overall visit. Beyond its historical significance, the Perarignar Anna Memorial serves as a reminder of the values and ideals that continue to shape Tamil Nadu's identity. It is a place of inspiration, reminding visitors of the importance of social equality, linguistic pride, and cultural preservation.

Perarignar Anna was simple and down to earth politician who fought for the rights of the states. Politics was restricted to a few elite rich zamindars in the villages. He introduced politics to the common folk in the villages. He will be remembered forever.
