Long before this lake was meant for walking area. Nowadays it's like ranganathan st, good to see more people over there. Well maintained by local. There are volunteers who pour water to the plants are keeping clean. Keep up kudos 👏🙌

This is a very pleasant Street with a spectacular view! Got a lot of affordable eateries over the side with a lot of choices. Great spot for hangout. If u wanna catch up a brisk walk in the neighborhood this is an ideal location. Though there are some litters thrown on the side of the lake which is very annoying.

A very big lake with a huge walking area. There is also a kids play area at the entrance. It is located in between a residential area and hence many people come there for walking, jogging, etc. The best time to walk there is in the morning at dawn or in the evening at dusk. Avoid this park when it is dark as the lighting arrangements in many parts of the walking area is not good.

Lake view road is nice place for early morning walk and evening stroll. Morning is meant for walking, can walk along the lake side. Stone benches are placed at regular intervals for resting. Vegetables, Aloe vera juice and few others will only be available in morning. Evening eateries are opened and is good for munching. It is more crowded during evening than morning time.

Good place for relaxation where you can able to see one side full of stalls and small small outlets where they will sell fruits and vegetables. And you can chill out with friends. There will be many chat shops which will be selling potato springle. Bread omlets. And you can able walk around the full lake. You will crossing three temples when you complete the walking. One of the key spot of Madipakkam , Where this Lake is so Famous . Also if you had noticed, Ratchasan tamil movie opening scene was shooted at this lake only . I would say this needs to more developed in needed of people who visit this place below points which needs to added to this place for more convenient for all people . 1. Road must be enlarged quite a Long . 2. Since it’s a more people gathering place , The police ensures that the security must be increased for peoples safety . 3. Walking space for people who either walks or runs doesn’t have proper space to utilise this park . 4. Must needed !!! since there is no public toilets 🚽 near this place where people can may suffocated . 5. There must be more trees or plants should be planted to enrich nature and ecosystem. These are the things I thought which is missing and would a great useful for public’s use . Thanks.

A wonderful place for an evening stroll.lots of fishes and birds. Lots of food stalls at one side to snack on as well. Can use periodic cleaning . Public should also avoid littering.

There is not a while lot to do in the locality of the lake. Overall it's a good spot to pull up and chat with mates. The stalls are not bad but definitely not outstanding. Food is not the best. The lake is cool to look at.

It was a very good lake side walk place I used to go for Jocking everyday it was pleasant place after some political change they are making some changes and maintence in the lake that was good now they are currently putting lights on side walk place that was very much need to old people's and especially women who walking on eve timings

Lake is fairly maintained. It takes about 30 minutes to walk around the lake. May be it stretches about 2 kms. One side of the walking path is inside the lake fence and the other side is outside where you can find lot of eat outs. The walking path inside lake is very narrow and 2 people can walk side by side comfortably. During morning you can find people selling milk, curd, vegetable, health drink, etc. During evening you can grab some quick bites. Lake might have been full long time ago as you can see some cows grazing where the water level has dropped and some land seen. There are tiny islands in the middle of the lake. There's a notice reading that the lake is deep but I saw a man bathing in the lake. Lake also has a play area for children with couple of swings and slides. It also has a gym for exercising. Overall, it is a good lake for a walk in the morning and evening.

Madipakkam lake is a great energetic natural to start your morning with sunshine and chilling with friends and family in evening. Very nice place for walking especially in the morning as well as in the evening. For food lovers there are shops for South, north Indian as well as chat items and beverages at a reasonable rates. To cover the total lake area it takes maximum half an hour and enroute you will find temples and once visited, you will find mind relaxing. Because of the calm atmosphere and pleasant climate, you will feel visiting the place often.

The lake is nearby to famous Iyyapan temple, Lord Veketeshwara temple and Amman temple too. It's easily accessible from the nearest Madipakkam bus stop. Overall a descent place for hanging out with family and friends...

From Madipakkam bus stop , by ten minutes walk you can reach the lake and it's very well maintained with foot paths. People go for a walk to have a breezy and nice Lake view. Lots of small shops and eateries and quick bites to do a chit chat with friends.

Pleasant place to spend some quality time..

The place is well maintained by the management . They made a lot of changes very recently , they now made a walk and runner path all around the lake . Which is boon to the marathon runners and joggers . The one thing which I finding it less interested is , it is immensely getting crowded nowadays. A lot of street food shop opened in the span of two years . You can see atleast a few set of young bloods throttling their bikes for a race. Other than that it’s a good place to spend time ..

It has jogging track but you can see animal excreta at many places. Animals can be seen around the lake too. Fencing of the lake is broken at many places which allows cows and buffaloes in jogging track. No proper maintenance. Authority can charge some entry fee for proper up keep of the lake and jogging track.

This lake view road stretches over 1 to 1.5 kilometres. It has a pavement all along to walk in leisure. Not much crowded and is maintained properly. Good for morning walk and evening refreshment for the near by people. Snacks and vegetables are available.
