Giving this rating only because of one iyer there!!! He is fair, medium height with long hair and specs!! So rude to people and deliberately asks for money during Pooja times like nombu or any special occasions. Apart from that all good.

Main god : Shiva as Aadhipureeswarar and Goddess Shivagami as Shanta Nayaki It’s was one of the very oldest temple in this locality. Constructed in 13th century by chola kings. Stone inscriptions mentions this place as Jayamkonda Chola Mandalam. Later the temple was renovated during the reign of Krishnadeva Ray. The saint Vyagrapada wanted to perform Pooja to lord shiva with vilvam leafs. He was searching for a place where there would be lots of vilvam trees and ended up here in Pallikaranai. The saints wish was to get his legs to be turned as tigers legs so that he can pluck flowers and vilvam faster to worship lord shiva. Shiva fulfilled his wish and there after he called as “Vyagrapada” vyagra means Puli in Sanskrit. Later a king came to known about this buildup a temple for lord shiva and named this region as “ Puliyur Kottam “ This temple constructed in a way where shiva will be facing east and shivagami will be facing south in the same sanctum. Bhairavar also located inside the Shiva’s sanctum and offering daily Dhevardhanai to all the three at a time. The big vilvam tree is located outside the shrine and under the tree there is a Ganapathy giving great Dharshan for the people who wants success in their journey of life. Please do visit and gain all wellness and healthy life.

Such a nice divine place. We get goosebumps on seeing the lord Siva with devotional songs and mantras running in the background. I keep only one request to elderly people. You people are little serious and over tempered and desperate to see lord Shiva that you raise voice against generl public easily, want to stand first in the line, if you don't get your place you not letting anyone pray instead keep on blaming others even inside moolasthanam. Kindly don't do that. Please avoid being mean with common people. Just like you everyone comes to see lord siva and we all are same to him. Don't expect VIP treatment with lord Siva.God is in everyone. So try to see siva in people. Don't hurt anyone's feelings. Be patient in seeing lord Siva. Your love compassion and kindness only is all matter to Siva. It's not that you standing in first row, your giving flowers first by rushing all and you shouting people in a urge that you need to see lord siva first is all doesn't matter to him. He will feel bad that my kid (You) is being rude mean and selfish with his fellow kids(us, public). Please make your Dad (Lord siva) proud by being empathic, lovable and kind.

Divine temple, must visit for everyone. The temple is well maintained with temple pond on opposite to it. In this temple sunlight will falls on Lingam for 15 days during the tamil month of Maasi. Original temple was built in Chola Period and stone inscriptions mentions this place as Jayamkonda Chola Mandalam. Ancient temple was deteriorated over time and current temple was build by santana dharma devotees. It is believed Sage Vyagrapadar had worshipped this temple during his times. OM NAMASHIVAYA !!! HARA HARA MAHADEV!!!

Nice and divine temple in Mylapore. Main deity Adhikesava Perumal & Myuravalli thayar. Get blessings from them by visiting on every Friday and do or participate by giving vilva leaves for vilva archanai which is performed on Myuravalli thayar. Thayar will bless all lakshmi gadakshyam , sort out issues in marriage n baby blessings to your family.

A beautiful and ancient temple right on the Pallikarnai - Velachery main road, opposite to the popular pallikarnai pond.A Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and Amman. Very peaceful and serene atmosphere. Has been renovated recently and the interior looks amazing. Very crowded on Mondays and on any other auspicious days like shivaratri. A must visit temple if you are in or near pallikarnai:)

Temple is very ancient and easily visible on medavakkam road, the mulavar(Aadhipureeswarar) is immediately after temple entrance and ambal right next to it. You can also see a huge kalbhairav in the same place.

What a holy atmosphere! The staff were good like every other temple staff, believe it or nah, this place is 600+ yrs old! The place was previously a brick house... A place right off the main road. The lotus pond is nearby too. Has many trees -A must visit

One of those ancient stone temple back dated to chola period, but seems to have retained only the main karbagraham and rest have all been constructed and maintained of new age. Must visit in list for any Siva devotees. Such a powerful and divine presence of lord Aadhipureeswarar on the lotus pedestal along with his consort Santha Nayaki Ambal both within the same Praharam is one of its speciality which is rare. Swami is East facing and the Sun rays fall directly on the linga swaroopam once a year. She is full of grace and blesses peace in one’s life per her name. Huge lotus pond that goes by the same name found opposite to the temple. Well maintained park around the pond is a plus to bring in children. Both temple and Pond are extremely crowded during any given auspicious day.

This Shiva temple is located in Pallikkaranai, a suburb of Chennai. It is situated on the main road. Adhipureeswarar and Shanthanayaki Amman and Bhairava are inside the garbhagruha. Sannathis for Vinayaka, Subrahmanya, Navagraha are in the outer prakaram. Neatly maintained temple. Pradosham and other festivals are conducted regularly with religious fervour. One can also visit a Lakshmi Narayana Perumal temple, at a distance of just about 200 metres from this temple.

This temple is on the Velachery - Tambaram main road and has good space in the front for parking. You can get flowers, archanai items, vilakku and all other needed items from the 2 shops in either side of the entrance. The temple has Sivan, ambal, Vinayagar, Hanuman, Murugan, Naagar, kalabairavar, and nava greham sannathi in it. It is kind of clean. It is spacious inside but the Sivan sannathi might look cramped.
