It's one of the amazing places in Chennai if you like to see historical places. It's more than 1200 years old. From outside it may look same as other South Indian Temple but it's really nice to see the old rock made structures with sculptures. The Temple is devoted to Lord Krishna. Hence it's one top level respectful places to Hindus. Evening around 5 is good time to visit. Note: Photography is not allowed inside.

Devoted to Lord Vishnu who is known as thelliyasinga Perumal here, located in triplicane. Starting from Andal proceeding towards Sri Parthasarathy then worshipping Vedavalli thayar you complete your worship with Sri Narasimhar. Filled with spiritual atmosphere and yards away from main Parthasarathy temple it’s a temple to visit in triplicane.

One of the divine temple you can feel the vibe once you enter the temple main sanctam. A must visit place if your trip focusses on temples of chennai. Earlier the pulisaadham that they used to be very tasty. But now a days the quality of it is not upto the mark. They sell at a nominal price but quality of most of the items are okayiiish. Try visit the temple early morning around 7 am to 8 am you can feel a great vibe which will be filled with freshness, around that time they provide the madapalli prasadham served to god which will be like divine.

The visit was indeed very very peaceful but had to struggle to get car parking, concern authorities must look into this enable devotees to ensure they are able to take the car as its been observed people park their cars behind the parked cars and are unable to remove their car making their peaceful visit to annoying one.

The temple is always a nostalgic one. People from this area thoroughly enjoy all the festivals of the temple. The great temple is built by a Pallava king known as Narasimhavarma pallavan in 6th century. Five forms of lord Mahavishnu is worshipped . They are Yoga Narasimha, Gajendra Varadarajar, Lord Rama, Sriranganathar and Lord Parthasarathy as Krishna, charioteer of Arjuna, one of the Pandava brothers in Maharashtra. Sri Mahalakshmi is in the name of Vedavalli Thayar. Nalayira Divya Prabandam the sacred book of Sri Vaishnavas, compiled by twelve Alwars glorifies the temple. Panguni uthsavam, pallava uthsavam, Sri ramanujar uthsavam and Vaikunda Ekadasi are the prominent festivals of the temple. Other than that Vedavalli Thayer's brass shrine will taken as procession around the streets of Tiruallikeni to make the devotees happy. The place Got the name Tiru alli keni because once there were lot of lotus flowers grown in tank or pond belongs to temple, (alli means lotus flower and keni means pond or temple tank.) When you visit the temple you can also visit Marina beach, vivekanda house, MGR Memorial, Peraringnar Anna memorial, Chepauk palace, Gandhi statue, Labour Statue, Walajah big mosque, Sri Ragavendra mutt and Dr. J. Jayalalitha's memorial.

The most devotional place in Chennai area. Specially at triplicane area. You can pray here without more procedure and there is a pond with the temple surrounding. Near by public transportation available. Near by small temples also you can find. Like ganapathy and saibaba temples. Near by area you can reach Marina beach in few minutes.
