A great temple for this area. It's comes under Tamilnadu government Hindu aranilayathurai department. This temple have the special celebrations along the year. Specially in the month of April may here they celebrate the yearly festivals. Like pagal pathu rapathu ursavam. Azhvar ursavam and in the month of puratassi that is in September and October month every Saturday Lord Vishnu will be in different appearance. This temple has one pool also.

I visited this temple today. It was my first visit. From Adyar it took about an hour to reach this temple. Located Inbetween Mount road and Egmore, at Arunachalam street Chintadripet this temple is devoted to Lord Vishnu. Through the priest I got to know the Thalapuranam of this temple. From a snake pit Lord Vishnu raised who is seen in the form of Sri Krishna here. Holding flute pose, Sri Adhilakshmi Thayar His consort stands besides Him. Coming out of the main shrine as you round the Praharam, Sri Anjaneyar, Sri Ramanujar, Sri Krishna and a ruin statue of Azhwar is seen. There is a separate shrine for Sri Adhilakshmi Thayar and Sri Nagar. Ekadasi, Magazhi month poojas are grandly celebrated. The belief is Sri Ramanujar came to this shrine prayed to Lord Vishnu, did one Pooja here. There is a huge parking place in front of the temple. Due to metro diversions you need to do a round from Arunachalam main road and reach this temple. This temple is 1000years old.

Adhi Kesava Perumal and Adhipurishwar temples are in one compound. It is similar to Chenna Kesava Perumal and Malleswarar temples nesr Pookkadi police station area near Parrys Chennai. At chindadripet Adhipurishwar temple, they nenovated and neatly maintaining. On tge other side Kesava Perumal somebody should take responsible to do the needful for the devotees.

This temple looks similar like the Lord Shri Chenna Kesava Perumal temple and Lord Shri Chennamalleswarar Temple in Flower Bazaar near Parry's. Left part was built for Lord Shri AdhiKesava Perumal and their consorts and Right side, we have Lord Shri AdhiPureeswarar Temple separated by a passage in between two temples. Both the lords are looking so beautiful and temples are well maintained especially the Lord Shri Adhipureeswarar which was painted recently it seems and flooring was also done. A must visit temples in Egmore area in Chennai circle.

Adi Kesava Temple is dedicated to Hindu god Vishnu located in Mylapore, Chennai, in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture, dedicated to Vishnu, who is worshipped as Sri Adi Kesava Perumal and his consort Lakshmi as Mayuravalli Thayar. The temple is believed to be the birthplace of Peyalvar, one of the first three of the twelve Alvar saints of the 6th-9th century CE.
