The planetarium is the only good thing about the science park. Its considerably smaller than birla planetarium in Kolkata. The package ticket is 80 INR per person but there is something as Regular show and Special show which nobody mentions nor is it highlighted anywhere. It should be informed to and advertised. The place is so well maintained, that everything is crumbling down from the ceiling and cobwebs surround the once working displayed artefacts. Some places have been reclaimed by vegetation and seems to have been abandoned altogether. It seems this was once a great place to be at but now its just average & barely functioning. Plenty of parking space and fee is 20 INR. It is having a cafetaria which is basic and good.

Very good for kids. Good time to teach them basic science. Have everything from pendulum, telescope, pulley, scale to scale aircraft, GSLV rocket etc. Some meteoroid stones sample i saw first time. Equipped with planetary screen, a 3D screen. Well maintained clean environment. They have a maths lab and DRDO laboratory too. We can spend a day without any much struggle for kids. I saw some good number of visitors. Well shaded parking area too available.

There are lot of models of various extinct species of various periods. Almost all are in good condition. They also have a board with details about the animals and their relative size to humans.

Seems it was a good place, now all the equipments have worn out, and not much maintenance. There should be guided tours in the science museum for kids and for curios adults. Even the park has rusted and worn out equipments. Government need to do appropriate action to bring the place back into the map

    1) They don’t accept card/ UPI/ gpay/PhonePe for none of the transactions other than cash which is a big drawback 2) For name sake it’s a science museum, but mark my words, 75% of the equipments inside doesn’t work 3) Very poor maintenance, even during summer time staff doesn’t switch on AC inside the museum, I literally got drenched in sweat that includes my son as well. 4) Since more than half of the systems doesn’t work half of the children who come to museum spend their time in outside play area.

Interesting place for Youngsters. It has five major divisions 1. Science Park - Children will enjoy the most here. However certain equipment are not working. 2. Evolution Park - Well constructed and explained. Must visit. 3. Planetarium - Show is Good, Maths Lab, Transport Area, Mirrors are must watch. DRDO, ISRO, Nuclear Zones are learning zones 4. 3D Show - Very well enjoyable. Must for kids 5. Science on Globe - Must watch Overall it is a place to visit with kids. Explain them and learn new things. Maintenance of certain equipment needs to be improved.

Had been here for attending an International symposium organized by Madras University. So, I didn't actually visit the park for amusement. Though, from whatever I saw I would give it three stars. Everything was well arranged and clean. For that I give three stars. But the first road stretch from the entrance hasn't been made properly. A bit further ahead and the roads are great.

Very good initiative at the heart of city, but very poorly maintained. Heart breaking to see many of the broken exhibits all over the place. Hope the situation might have improved in recent years somehow.

A boost in levels of oxygen may have caused a three-fold increase in biodiversity during between 445 and 485 million years ago, a study has found.Caleb of the Zoological Survey of India made the discovery when he tapped the bark of a mango tree in his backyard near the Araabath tank in Tirumullaivoyal. Though he is an arachnologist - a person who studies spiders - he was unable to identify the seven spiders that darted out. Further research led him to conclude that he had stumbled upon a new species from the jumping spider family.Whenever dust is high over north India, the early part of monsoon rainfall is higher Though the aerosol burden over north India is three times more than the global mean value and has been increasing at about 3% per year for the past few decades, the amount of dust aerosol during the pre-monsoon period has decreased by 10-20% during the period 2000 to 2015. seful Links SCIENCE AND TECH Richard Feynman.
