Absolutely worth trying. Didn’t feel any item was less in taste or Authenticity. Ordered Brocalli broth from soups - Pure extract of Brocalli with no additional cream or flavours added . Felt refreshing . Caesar Salad- fresh Vegetables dipped in Mayonnaise was a very good try. Felt the freshness in the vegetables. Lot of options in the main course and every thing was worth exploring and trying :) Felt the money worth. Impeccable service provided by all the staffs and by the Manager Mr.Minajhul . Additionally the Ambiance was great as well. Important of all since every ingredient was in correct proportion and quality, didn’t feel the heaviness of eating Italian food loaded with cheese.! Happy Eating.

This was one exceptionally good restaurant. The service was great, the food was excellent and the delivery was quick. A special mention to the bread used in the garlic bread dish. It is by far the best I have tasted so far. Anyone visiting this restaurant has to try the garlic bread. The spread is amazing too. One small gripe I have with this place is that it could get a little expensive for a full course meal. Other than that, it is definitely worth opting for this place as you are guaranteed a good meal.

Review update 12 February 2024 Now they are open on Saturday and Sunday for breakfast - they open at 8:00AM Place is empty Most of the dishes take 20 to 30 minutes to prepare so be ready to wait Service & Breakfast was good Review dated 19th August 2023 I go to this place 3 to 4 times a year for dinner. on 19th Aug ‘23 went there after 3 months - not sure if the head chef has changed [even though the waiter said the Chef has not changed] Quality of food has come down a couple of notches. Lasagne was very average – was cooked like mashed potatoes. Bruschette was just tomato’s toasted bread no cheese. Pizza as usual was good. My daughter says not to visit again – not sure may be I will visit one more time – is not improved, strike out another restaurant Earlier gave a 5 star rating – changing to 4 star now

@littleitalygrp has always been on the top of my list for one of the finest Veg Italian food and it never disaapoints me. My go to starter would be the Onion rings which is served hot and crispy and topped with aamchur powder just right to start your meal! The best part about it is, it isn't very oily or soggy and has the perfect batter consistency.🤩 No matter where I go, I always try to order Margherita to determine about the place and it's never gone wrong @littleitaly.chennai for I can say it's one of the best! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 For the Pasta, it has to be Spicy and so Alla Arabiatta and I finished them in no time for it was super tangy and tasty!😍 In the desserts, they had two types of Tiramisu, The normal one and the Tiramisu Italiano and I cannot miss out on either one so I ordered both and they were pretty surpassing! 🤤 Have you tried them yet? If yes, tell me your fav dish in the comments 😄

Just witnessed the foods of Italy’s Special. So great to be visited there . Taste Fantastic. And to be specific, this restaurant is not for an Average people , while they see the price chart the price is not gonna be tolerable. Prices are so high . When compared to outside restaurants foods. Else everything is good to go .

Been going here for YEARS now. Kinda like a regular place. 😄❤ The food and ambience is top notch for sure, the staff is cordial but the service could be slightly quicker? Even with lesser crowd they seem to take too much time and be in a hurry to kick customers out if they find them chatting with each other too much after ordering the food. 😄 But definitely worth dining in. Anyday, anytime.

Been visiting Little Italy over the years. Can drop in for some authentic Italian/ Mexican food. Before you order a dish, get an idea about it as not all dishes would please our Indian taste buds. Pizzas and pastas are fine. Lasagna is okayish. Their chocolate bomb is a must try. Other desserts are also good.

Tasty and authentic food. For the starters Cheese garlic bread and ravioli crocante is a must try. Rustic pizza was good and filling. Tried the alla arrabiata pasta which was quite good and tangy. Sizzling walnut brownie and chocolate bomb were yummy deserts. Overall a very good experience except for the air conditioning which was not upto the mark in the area that we were seated.

Good ambience, good quantity of food. Their spicy food is not spicy enough though. Some of the food was too bland - like red sauce pasta and salad. We enjoyed the mushroom dishes and the mocktails.

Food generally holds up to little Italy standards, but tiramisu in this branch is just coffee flavoured whipped cream. We were satisfied with pizza, pasta and garlic bread.. but dessert is a big no no in this restaurant.

We celebrated our daughter’s 10 birthday at Little Italy. This restaurant has left the best impression on us and on our guest. The ambience was great and the service we received was so amazing😊. We felt welcomed. From the starter to the dessert the quality and tastes of everything was outstanding. But the special attention care and friendliness from the manager Mr. Kiyanand Patra made us feel right at home. He personally came to tables to check if we had everything we wanted and if everything was up to mark. Loved his genuine touch of hospitality. I highly recommend this place and we would love to come back here again.

I've loved Little Italy for a very long time and been to other branches in Chennai and Bangalore many years ago but not this one in Besant Nagar. So I was really looking forward to this meal. We went as a group of 7 (3 kids included) and were seated down as soon as we arrived. Food was excellent as it used to be. The pasta, pizza, starters, baked aubergine (melanzane alla parmigiana) and desserts were spot on. We loved the garlic bread so much, we ordered it twice. Special mention to Bikram and Nithesh (I hope I got the name right) for the best service. They were so kind, helpful and genuinely sweet. Wishing them all the luck for the future.

Had unlimited veg buffet here. The buffet included different types of Pizzas, Garlic breads, Veg soup, Tomato soup, creamy dips, fresh counter for pasta, different types of desserts. Every item served tasted very good and the items were fresh. Enjoyed the buffet.

I love the Tiramisu Italiano cake from this restaurant. One of best place to try this. Perfectly safe to dineout with alteranate tables kept empty and staff following all safety procedures. And very near to besant nagar beach. I love the cheese dishes . Do try out friends.

Little Italy hasn’t changed much over the years be it the ambience or flavours 😝 This time it was GIRF rates so got some discount . Rates are marginally on a higher scale. The Risotto was bit disappointing one else it was nice meal.

I met my dearest friends at Little Italy after a year and we only meet once a year because of living far away. This place has been a favourite among people I know and I can see why. I ordered enchiladas and it was delicious. The cheese fonduta was a treat. I have almost no complaints on the food or the waiters. The blueberry cheesecake did have a completely soggy base though. So why a 2 star? We went at around 13:30. We were seated upstairs, we ordered drinks and food. After around an hour we were asked to move downstairs because they were closing upstairs. There was a couple seated next to us, but only we were specifically asked to leave. This was asked rather politely, though persistently, and we conceded without any issues. We were seated in a nice spot downstairs and we continued ordering food. Granted, we were there for a few hours but never without ordering food or eating. Despite the large number of free seats in the restaurant, another group was seated right next to us. They came and went. The waiters continued to offer good service and removed plates as we finished eating. Then a person who appeared to be a staff or in management came to us and rudely exclaimed that he had to switch the airconditioner off since he had it on for 8 hours . We certainly were there for less than half of that time and were not the only ones there. We, at that point, were already intending to leave but it was highly humiliating to be yelled at when we had been ordering the whole time. The tone he took was completely unwarranted and should not be taken towards a customer who is simply trying to find a place to eat and unwind for a while. Eating in Italy or in France is not a 1 hour fast food affair. They take it very seriously and take their time. If they are unable to serve customers longer, I'm more than happy to start the process of marking this as a fast food place. We would not have been bothered so much had they just asked us politely and switched off the airconditioner instead of making us feel unwelcome there. Tldr: good food, decent drinks, choose your dessert wisely, great waiters/servers. Terrible staff. Did not take any other food photos from there.

I’ve been wanting to review it for a long long time but never got around to doing it. I go here whenever I feel like having something nice and I know I won’t be disappointed. I think I’ve tried all the dishes on the menu and I like all of them – some more than the others but definitely none that I don’t like. It’s a house converted to a restaurant I guess and it’s a quiet and peaceful locality so there’s never much hustle bustle either inside or outside the restaurant. A very relaxed atmosphere with nice soft music playing in the background (the music does get repetitive but that’s not what we go there for anyway).

It's an Italian food go-to place. Calm and dim environment + purely vegetarian. Soup, Starters, Pasta, lasagna - 5/5 Desserts and pizza was 4/5 Except for Bruschetta everything was good. Dessert and pizza tasted nice but not a very good one for the price, bcoz similar kinda taste we can get it at other cafes at nominal price.

Food taste wise is awesome. Really I liked it a lot. But as this hotel provides Italian based food, the menu card itself was quite difficult to understand the dishes varieties to order. But as I went with my sister, I managed it 😅 else suppose if I went alone, I might had to come out without having dinner. Also, the prices were TOO HIGH here for each and every dish including the taxes also.

If you want Italian taste in Chennai, then without any doubt you can try this. It's one of the best in the business and you will never regret for visiting this restaurant. The restaurant ambience is very good. If you are looking for a budget friendly hotel then this will be slightly on the higher side. But you want to get some really good experience and fantabulous taste then you should not miss this. Though this restaurant contains only vegetarian cuisine you will not miss non veg here.

Easily the best place in Besant Nagar area for mind blowing Italian food. The garlic bread is enough to satisfy your taste buds but you know you can't stop. Their desserts don't have a wide range but they are all yum. Mango cheesecake and Tiramisu are my personal recommendations

Really great staff and I suggest you reserve a table here as you might have to wait. Its really close to the Besant Nagar beach so you can plan a nice day out too! Order their pasta, lasagna, pizza. All great. I did feel the starters and dessert were a let down and the wait was sometimes excessive. It took them a while even for a simple salad. What I really liked was that the waiters will listen to any specific details/customizations about the food and are quick in service and even serve food on the plates. A great place for family or a small group too. I'd definitely go back. That black base pizza was pretty good!!!

Feeling absolutely bad about giving a 3 star to a place which has always been a favourite. But the buffet this Saturday was not at all up to the mark. Perhaps the chef or the management changed? The food tasted bland. Salt was less in almost all the dishes. Really hope we are able to taste their tasty food again.

I have been dining at this Little Italy Restaurant since early 90's , that started operation on Nungumbakkam high Road in Eldorado building basement The fact they have sustained in this food business since inception in 1989 and now have more than 50 outlets spread across 4 countries and in most states in India ,speaks volumes for the visionary Mr Raj Mehta from Pune who introduced Italian cuisine in India and his outlets continues to offer great Vegetarian Italian food namely Pastas, pizzas, apetizers and variety of cheeses. Little Italy is a landmark restaurant that caters especially for the middle class and offers quality Italian food backed by excellent and very courteous service over the years. I would strongly recommend this restaurant any day for families looking to dine in comfort either for lunch or dinner any day of the week . Their present restaurant Mgr Zakir and Sr Chef Ramakanth at their Besant Nagar outlet will ensure every diner enjoys his or her meal in real comfort and return home after enjoying great Italian recipes tuned to satisfy anyone's palate at affordable prices. Adequate street car parking option with valet service makes it easier for any diner to eat at this outlet . With dinner costing just at Rs 700 to Rs 800 per head its real value for money for any diner . If the reader of this review hasn't been to Little Italy restaurant yet please try it out and you won't regret.

Ambience really good. As a frequent eater of Italian dishes, I believe Besant Nagar branch has potential to raise the bar by improving the presentation & plating. Serving straight from the kitchen to the customer table rather than going to the waiters table would be appreciated. Because we did see that the cleared plates also kept in the same spot!! Big no in covid days!!! Baked dishes like Lasagne should be given more attention as I felt it was over cooked and sheets falling apart
