Variety of Gujarati foods available and I tried there Gujarati thali and dhokla. Taste was good. Staffs were very polite. Only difficulty I faced that was parking.

This place has been suggested by many people. It's quite noticeable from the outside especially considering the fact that it's located on a very busy street and yet it's hard to miss. It's a small place but the quality of food served is top notch. For the first time in my life I had a Pani Puri which didn't leak after pouring poori inside and the Puri tasted different, in a good way so I was able to enjoy it without making a mess. Their paratha varieties were nice too, had that typical North Indian taste so they've done justice to their name. The deserts were fantastic, easily one of the best basundis that I've ever had. At the end the bill wasn't that much of a pinch in our pockets too, definitely worth the money and worth visiting again.

They make an extraordinary Gujarati thali. Soft, fluffy, ghee smothered phulkas. Their kadhi is the best I've had post pandemic in Chennai. Their khandvi is ridiculously well done. The oil and mustard seeds tempering they add is so expertly balanced. The buttermilk is refreshing and they don't skimp on the cumin or the salt. If you're here for the packaged snacks, the cashew pakoda, fafda, papdi and khakras are must-try items.

Located just 100 meters from Vadapalani Murugan temple, entered with much expectations and the restaurant fulfilled it. Very nice food, very good taste, highly recommended for vegetarians and chat lovers . Must try 👌

Excellent quality. The naan and the chapathi is tooo soft and the best Gobi and paneer Manchurian i have ever tried. If you are an ice cream lover then you must try the dry fruit icecream here with malpua. Great place with affordable prices.

This place has it's origins in one of my formerly favourite eateries in Chennai I.e. Mansukh. I ordered Gujarathi Thali today from Mithai Mandir. Feedback on the same: Normal Portion 4/5 Tasty Food 4/5 I had also visited them recently and at 8 pm they did not have most of the items mentioned in the menu and the place was kind of sad and very disappointing. Strongly recommend rethinking the ambience and also availability of items mentioned in the menu. Will definitely order through Swiggy again but unsure of visiting the place for now.

We have visited this place several times and the food never disappoints. I love all their stuffed parathas which is pretty heavy for dinner. Today I ordered Gujrati thali and it was good, but I probably won't order it again- because of the nature of the cuisine itself. Being a bit on the sweeter side. They also have a good collection of snacks. Only thing is, the place is small so might get busy over weekends and they sell out pretty fast. So if you're looking for something specific, be there by 7.30.

If you have a preference for sweetness in every dish, this place might be worth a try after ordering a Gujarati thali, but it's only average.

A good Gujarati food outlet that serves a wide variety of options to eat from. Their chats tastes very good. They also have sweets and savouries, and also Gujarati thali for lunch and dinner. We ordered dhokla and it was one of the best you could get in and around Chennai. Other dishes we tried were dahi papdi chaat and Pani Puri and Vada pav.

It's a small eat out place. When I visited I had thali. Their phulkas are to die for. The food is homely and not excessively greasy or oily. The food is good. The restaurant is pocket friendly. The service is fairly quick. It's a tiny place and there could be waiting time. And the seating is too cramped and inconvenient. I packed myself some dhokla and khandvi which were AMAZING.

Best outlet to have gujarati , rajasthani & north indian food. friendly staff and super fast service. Combos ,thali and sweets are their USP and don't forget to try their badam milk. You also order online on swiggy.

A place where proper Gujarati and Rajasthani food is available. Little improvement could be made in the taste, but still it's good.

Mithai Mandir is a quaint little outlet at Vadapalani Chennai that has drawn some stellar verbal hype. And, oh boy, did it live up to it! And how!! Their Rajasthani, Gujrati and North Indian thalis are said to be absolutely sumptuous but we'll save that for another day, being dinner time. The menu is simple but staple. An assortment of stuffed parathas, chaats, drool worthy desserts & beverages and an impressive line-up of combos cater to every single slaver. All this from a modest outlet with limited seats, topped with good service. The pricing is apt too. Can't wait to ravish their lunch time thalis, one of these days.

Shameless, rude , attitude is worst of the owner and the staff! Both father and son are money minded that is it, quality is not good just that the display of snacks and items served look jazzy ! Prices are extremely high than what its actual price would be, they don’t treat customers well. Just because a temple is stone throw away from this place and have got devotees crowding around! They made the prices high and got wrong attitude into themselves, I will not recommend them nor their neighbouring eateries due to unhealthy, low quality services and food served, diarrhoea will be the only thing that can happen to you if you eat from this place or it’s near by shops! Please be very careful at all times they don’t do quality check nor any food officer never visit this place, I was lucky I had 3 days office leave because of Christmas! I had suffered a lot after eating food from here. A samosa too that is worth 10 rupees is served for overhyped price of 50 ! Seriously and sometimes they don’t follow their price tags ! If you want to be healthy please avoid this locality except for the temple visit and go eat from somewhere else that is healthy ! And the veg fried rice ! Quantity is more but tooo oily ! That to how many days old no clue. Within that radius I could find only veg fried rice worth eating! My friend had samosa chat and dahi chat but samosa was less and curd and chutney was more ! Looked as if he was having samosa curd ! Again overpriced. Rest of the menu is tasty but because the prices are overhyped I believe it’s foolishness of customers to blindly pay for ! Except should there be an emergency situation or any uncertainty that you are forced to pay and eat ! If this is the case then they are introducing 3-5 star hotels price in a place that is not reasonable locally, it is unacceptable! They have ready to fight attitude. I would recommend closure of this shop and nearby eatery shops as all of them are unhealthy and strictly wouldn’t recommend for families as your children should be your first priority in terms of health and price and not jazzy fake restaurants.

Restaurant ambience was quite decent even though it is small with airconditioned. They have different varities of Gujarati and north indian snacks and dishes. We ordered Gujarathi and north indian thali which has very limited no. of dishes and prices of all dishes are little bit higher as same as fine dining restaurant.Taste of dishes are like ok but not very much good.We can choose this restaurant for their variety of north indian snacks.

The attitude of the cashier was insulting.we ordered a North Indian thali which includes a cup of ice cream..after having the meal we were waiting for the icecream..by that time the cashier suddenly asked us to leave in a very bad tone..my husband told that we're waiting for icecream.. cashier replied that.. ice cream is not there and forcefully asked us to leave because another family was waiting for a table. Very much disappointed with the behaviour . Treat all the customers equally.. don't be money minded By the way the food was decent.

Food was great, but most of the items weren't available though it was prime time -8.30 PM when we visited. Would be good if they keep chats available at that time.

Specialises in Vegetarian Gujarati food. Limited options. Caution: Menu items may not be available on the day of your visit. The food is a welcome change from the routine dishes available in other restaurants nearby. A bit cramped space.

  • 3/5 Manikandan C. 5 months ago on Google
I tried this Gujarati thali for the first time... Maybe it's not the taste that is liked by south Indian. No single item is spicy.. all side dishes are competing with sweetness among themselves. North Indian guys may like it.

Only good place in chennai for khaman dhokla's.. served hot with green chutney 💯 Gujarati thali and hot malpua top notch ❤️

Mithai Mandir.. Simply looting customers with over pricing each n every item in the restaurant. They will give you 2 chapathi's for like 95 rs n then add 15 ra as CGST/SGST So, for 2 fulka's you have to pay around 110 /- Food is not having taste also why these guyz selling food for no reason except money. Sweets are also so costly 1 gulab jamun will cost u around 50 rs per piece Every item in the restaurant have pricing per piece Hell of a restaurant.... I didnt recommend this restaurant to any of the North/South Person to visit They simply charge you anything!! Guyz dont go on the ratingz blindly, Reality hits hard!! North Indian thalis, Gujarati thalis will go around 300 per plate. 1 simple vadapav will cost you around 55 /- per piece. Do aware!!

The stuffed cheese paneer Paratha we had was so soft and so tasty... one of the best stuffed Parathas I've ever had.... the ac dining had less air conditioning, couldnt try more items as most of the dishes wasn't available around 8-8:30pm and it was a Saturday night...gotta go early if you wanna try different stuff... the guy who was serving us was kinda rude...😒

Place is awaysome. Offers athnic north indian food. One Suggestion, Please, upload menu along with items available on this platform. So, people are aware which items are available. FYI,we went to Mandir Mithai on saturday with home of Daalbati after traveling 25 kms. But, it was available from Monday-Friday, so we were literally disappointed to hear it. Then, we tried with paratha, Vadapao . These items were ossom.

The shop showed open so we went in the morning. The manager sent us off saying that we won't get anything at all. We visited all the way from Guduvanchery and it was mother's day. I wanted to surprise my parents. But well they don't care about that, do they? I think they don't have business ethics and are just running a business for money. Will definitely never visit this place.

It’s a small air conditioned outlet near Murugan Temple, but the north indian food here was amazing. It’s definitely a must visit place for anyone who wants to enjoy good north indian flavours. Must try would be the kachori chaat, Dhokla, Jalebi.

One of the best hygienic sweet and chat stall in vadapalani. This shop is located in the road towards the entrance of the vadapalani Murugan temple main entrance. The shop is very small but we'll maintained. They serve few varieties of sweets and snacks but all are very different from other sweet stalls. One must visit here once in a while.

  • 4/5 Dhana S. 1 year ago on Google
Good veg experience.. Tea was standard. Samosas were costly, but worth it. Its near to the Vadapalani temple and parking for cars wont be available at the premises, bcoz the parking for bike is already challenging. overall the tastes had good quality and nothing were overdo. Will recommend to go there atleast for once if you are around this place

Vadapalani Lord Murugan Blessings for our week end followed by Sumptuous North Indian Thali and moderate spicy Veg. Makan Chappathi ended with Bombay Special Falooda at Mithai Mandir. Wholesome Good Experience at very reasonable prices. Service, Quality, Quantity, Payment Counter, etc..... Everything is very good. Keep it 💯 always. Best Wishes 👍

The food was amazing! The staff was also very kind. Only the atmosphere could be worked on. The owner was scolding the employees pretty badly when I went there. I understand he would have a lot of pressure in his mind but his behavior towards the staff was more than rude. Food was amazing! Value for money.

One of the often visited North Indian restaurants. The food available here is great. I highly recommend this place. But no parking facility is available for the car. It can accommodate a few two wheelers.
